Not a good idea to rely on what strangers recommend without knowing much about you. You'll have to take the call based on your interests, aptitude and career plans. Have you done any research or introspection on those?
B-schools aren't lying on their websites. But the process of averaging salaries itself is fundamentally flawed. It ends up combining very high consulting and I-banking salaries with NGO salaries, given an incorrect picture. A small proportion on students' data ends up skewing the whole class average. Instead of relying on the average for the entire class, it would be better to check what the recruiting company is paying - for the specific role you're targetting and in the industry you want to work in. That's will give you a more reasonable salary estimate. And then check out how many students from your target programs ended up in that industry and company, over the years.
Hi, could you suggest weather to appear for GRE or GMAT if I'm not sure which program I wish to get into - MS, Tech MBA, Full time MBA 3-4 years down the line for a career in product management? Also, for FT MBA programs is GMAT preferred by admission teams or GRE is equally acceptable?
For FT MBA, both GRE and GMAT are equally acceptable by the top programs. But if you aren't sure of the degree and the test scores come with an expiry date, it wouldn't be a good idea to jump into test prep. Having said that, an MS degree makes better sense for students with less than 2 years of experience.
Recently,I have completed B. Com degree. Now, I am planning to do masters like MIM or MBA . Which one do you recommend me to do? Furthermore, I have no Work experience . I am planning for Canada
Many times I hear this from international jobs- 150000 plus stock options. What does that mean? Plus, are stock options rewarding for an employee working in the USA?
Stock options are an incentive to hold back employees in the company. If you stick around for long enough, you will get some shares in the company. This could be quite an amount if the company is growing.
Stock options are mostly preferred by tech companies, mostly startups where the upside can be high. Banks and MBB give big bonuses instead. Cash in hand works better.
Can you please make a video or share an article that throws light on getting a job after MS in US? I really wanna pursue my Masters there but the fear of not getting a job is holding me back, especially when F1 and H1B come into play? Also the situation right now... according to some statistics US is heading towards recession. Do you think it's wise to do masters there in next few coming years ..say 2024 or 2025?
Since our primary focus is on MBA programs, we haven't written much about MS careers. But as a general rule of thumb, it is riskier to go abroad as an international student with very little experience. It helps to have some pre-MS skills that recruiters will value. Otherwise it can be tough to compete with the locals. Which is one of the reasons MBA students fare better than MS students during job hunting.

Good evening, pls I do have a question regarding the MBA specialization, in the case that I am not good in most calculations which ideal MBA specialization is best suited for me.
Kindly throw a light on the purchasing power parity between different countries. For example if we put 200000 us dollars in a PPP calculator it shows it is equivalent to 4000000 Indian rupees.
PPP can be helpful or misleading depending on the context. As you see in this case, it has used a factor of 20. But that doesn't mean a US salary will give you 20 times better value in India. A $200K salary in Silicon Valley for instance, is quite average considering the cost of living - primarily housing. Think about where you're going to use the USD amount rather than just doing a theoretical PPP conversion.
Not many would choose to live in NYC due to the absurd living costs. Most would find a more affordable place nearby (e.g NJ) and then take the metro to commute to work. With Silicon Valley, the radius of absurdly priced housing is much bigger. So overall, I'd say Silicon Valley is more expensive overall.
There is no 'best'. It all depends on your interests and aptitude. Check out the video on specialisations to get a better idea of the most popular options and what they entail.
Due to the high degree of overlap in the underlying skills and the roles/responsibilities, product and project management are typically clubbed together by most bschools.

1.Build a list of companies that have been recruiting from your program over the years. 2. Get in touch with alumni there, and find out more about the opportunities that interest you. 3. So, don't try to force fit yourself, as that can backfire later, if not immediately. Focus on roles where you can genuinely show an overlap in skills they need.
