Thanks for getting content out with your new job. Time is precious. Any plans on reviewing the new pro line 1.0 maxxis tires? I am also intrigued with meus new shiftable trx4m transmission.
Thanks for the great vid on the mr24, I ordered one right away, I am stoked, probably one of the best upgrades you can get for a 24, another game changer!!! Rock on!!!
Great video Cape thanks for the support glad you love the trans! Great job summarizing the product with its available options, 54%OD is my personal favorite very slight cogging down low occasionally but the wheel speed availability completely makes up for it.
I'd like to see FMS make a 3 speed transmission with metal gears. Their 2spd is nice, but to have an ultra-low first gear, one between their current 1st&2nd , and then an even taller 3rd gear. Paired with a furitech brushless system and 🎉.
Would this work with a cr18p evo? I got the furitek stinger brushless kit and It has the stock 2 speed. But I want to flip the hubs on the axles and use it for drifting so I would like some more wheel speed.
@@Slaters_RCExactly. I was thinking the same thing. This is making it confusing. People are going to buy this transmission thinking it has different ratios higher in the front output shaft compared to the rear output.
@@Slaters_RCI agree with you. For most working with 24th scale crawlers this could definitely throw somebody off. I know you mean we typically refer to over drive/under drive for the gearing ratio in our front/rear axle. This definitely can confuse a lot of people don’t listen to the rest of the reply’s to your comment, you made a valid statement
i'd be really considering what gears to have based on how controlled reverse can be as well. great to have a lot of speed to go uphill otherwise. neat options which is good.
I’m building the Meus comp chassis for the 24. I purchased one of these transmissions this morning. I don’t run the creeper motor and still going to run brushed. I plan on going brushless in the future. Can I run the scx24 motor mount with this transmission? I am running a Meus motor.
I am just finishing the same meus chassis build. It was a fun little project. The front driveshaft was too short. Other than that it's been a fun quality little build so far.
@@cyba888 you have to buy a skid meant for the MB24 trans or modify your own. I ended up running a mini Komodo with the MB24 with FURITEKs motor mount.
Yeah thats crazy. Mazz designs sells a great little overdrive transmission for $25. I have a few. I found they work best if you epoxy the little “slipper clutch” together.
Hey there! It looks like you're seeing prices in Australian dollars. Just to clarify, here at Little Guy Racing Parts in the USA, the MR24 transmission is priced at $50 USD, and the additional underdrive gearing is $10 USD. We understand international shipping can unfortunately add extra costs, and we're always looking for ways to make this more affordable for our overseas customers. Our goal is to offer products that fit a variety of builds and budgets. If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, we do have a another transmission that might better suit your needs. Let us know if you need any help finding the right parts for your build!
@@littleguyracingparts Need to underdrive for FCX24 axles on Dementor SCX24 build as these axles can't be under or overdriven.. Was really looking forwards this transmission but again it just too expensive!
Unfortunately, 'underdrive' and 'overdrive' are terms used to describe the difference in wheel speed between the front and rear axles. It probably shouldn't have ever been named that, but we're stuck with it now. Calling optional ratios for the gearbox 'overdrive' and 'underdrive' creates confusion. Just call them optional ratios, like Low 1, High 1, High 2, or whatever. Nor is this gearbox 'multi ratio'. That implies more than one available speed during use. It's a single-ratio transmission with optional parts.
actually my real Jeep Xj has also overdrive from the manufacturer and it is not a difference in turning between front and rear axle... It has to do with the ratio between engine rpm and axle rpm, similar to the gears in this transmission...
Is it just me or are none of your videos audio/video synced properly? Looks like your lip syncing specially towards the very end. I just bought this transmission and used your code thanks!
I really wished they would have released a trans where you could under or overdrive the front and rear seperately. This doesn't seem like it would be very useful or beneficial unless you were trying to use a stock or brushed motor on a monster truck build
Thank you for your feedback! We understand the desire for a transmission that allows for separate under or overdrive control for the front and rear. Our current MR24 transmission design focuses on adjusting the overall wheel speed of the vehicle through different gearing options. However, for those looking for individual adjustments on the front and rear, our range of worm gear options could be a great solution. These allow for more precise control over each axle's speed and torque.
@littleguyracingparts I wasn't trying to be negative btw. I love your parts and what you guys do for the micro/mini crawler scene. In my situation tho the worm gears wouldn't work as the rigs I would want the over/underdrive gearbox for are running fcx24 portal axles and sadly the only over and underdrive gears for the fcx24 axles I can find are the ones from aliexpress. I would love to run super 8s on them but I've been trying to get my hands on a set for about a year or so now as they are always out of stock
@@sofghost6663 I just snagged a set from their site 2 weeks ago. The rear was in stock and I bought the parts to build the front. They're in stock now BTW.

Still keeping it together 👍🏻 I’m working on the trepador video this weekend. I’m also very interested in that Meus transmission!
I think it would be cool to see the high speed gear on 3s speed run.
So I got the pro scale light kit for the TRX4M K10 from my RC shop. & I got the Injora +4 mm axles for my TRX4M Bronco, thing's gonna get wide! 😎

With the availability of different axle gear sets and this transmission along with esc programming we will be able to really dial in these little guys

You mention you haven't fixed the understeer on this build. Any tips on fixing understeer? I have a build plagued with it as well. Thanks!
Someone mentioned I should try reversing the tire direction. I’m going to try that to see if it works
It would be really Kool to make the same course you have indoors but out of real rocks and dirt 🤔
All this aftermarket support is making me want to do a SCX24 build...
Good cheap fun.
They shouldn’t be calling it over and under drive. It’s going to confuse people. Should be calling it speed and crawl gearing.
If people can't differ between over and underdrive maybe it's time to learn 🤷
