Knight Titus was the perfect representation of the player. Ordering your companion around, making them carry all your things, freaking out and running away when you see a high level enemy, and blaming your companion for everything.

Lucy vs the ghoul is literally just a veteran player meeting a new player and I love it. He’s kitted out and knows how to survive, kicks ass and is basically a bullet sponge, meanwhile she has a terrible weapon, no armor, and is trying to talk her way out of stuff. I love it

As much as Knight Titus is an a-hole, the dialogue he has while battling the bear is hilarious. It feels exactly like it'd be if a Fallout player accidentally runs into a bear and is unprepared.

My personal theory is that the entire show is a game of Fallout after the player dies to a Yao Guai.

i remember the first time i played fallout 4 -- got to the part where i fight a deathclaw and i'm in power armor with a gatling. thought i was gonna shred it but went exactly how Knight Titus' fight went -- just a whole lot of running and "fuck"s

i love how as the series progresses, Lucy follows the same pattern as the game MC`s, starts of naive and innocent and gradually grows into a nutty wastelander. All thats missing is the Loot goblin part. Every loots everything in the games.

Have you see the trenches of Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama? Half the south looks like this 😂. It’s insane to me how people can shit on Cali cities but the right never wants to mention how 3rd word the south looks in its worst neighborhoods. Literally blocks of abandon houses that looks like sheds, warehouse buildings abandon since the 70s 😂 Mobile Alabama, Baton Rouge Louisiana ect.
Downtown Filly was so Megaton and Diamond City looking that I had to pause for a second and take it in. Awesome set designs.
It was such a perfect blend of the two! This show really managed to take elements from all popular fallout games and mix them to great effect :D

I like how MJT knows and sings along all of the songs. I found myself doing the same thing while watching these episodes. I still sing along to the FO3 soundtrack to this day for my daily commute. 😊

for all their shortcomings, Bethesda/Fallout really helped introduce younger players to 50's/60's classics.

I love that the creators aren't holding the hand of new people to the world. Exposition is mild, and necessary. The world building keeps new people interested, while also giving the hardcore base all the easter eggs they could hope for.
I'm a Fallout nerd. I've played, and replayed the games sooo many times...
I had low expectations. They blew this out of the park.
The ghoul versus the town really felt like watching a player use VATs, that had to be intentional and I love it so much

one reason i love the show so far is the show dont tell aspect of storytelling. other adaptations (ie percy jackson) suffer from treating the audience like they cant figure things out without a neon sign that says THE POINT and a million arrows pointing at the scene

My parents occasionally poke fun at me because my tastes in music includes bands and singers older than they are.
I think that's just something that happens if you play enough Fallout.
It has Judge Dredd levels of blood and gore in it so far, and i am all for that.. It just is Fallout... In all its glory

This show is almost all practical, it really sets the world as being alive and will age very well in the future. To many productions these days overrely on cgi, good old fashion pratical effects are like wine, they age very gracefully ''chefs kiss'
Sometimes, the perfect CGI are moments that you don't realize there were actually CGI in the first place, confusing them with practical effects. And those also age wonderfully. Both have their benefits, and both can also goes hand to hand when done well, as we can enjoy seeing both CGI and practical effects in the same scenes too!
The way BOS Knight runs away from a monster is so funny🤣

i think amazon really didnt know how people would react to the series because game fans tend to be divisive on things. So they were probably worried not knowing if they had a Last of Us or if they had a Halo. They probably figured it was safe to just drop the first season all at once, get people like myself subscribed or resubscribed and figured they'd work from there. Honestly never played the games but loving the series so far
It's nice to see how many people, who never played Fallout or know much about it, still loves the Amazon series. I played hundreds of hours Fallout (all except FO76 yet) and to me this show is pure joy because of all the eastereggs and references that non-players will not even notice. So I was wondering how it is received by nonplayers and as far as I can tell many really like it anyway. Thats really awesome

I loved Dogmeat as well. He was the only companion that I could tolerate and forgive when he was blocking the door-frame 🤗
I love that they had cheeky references to the suit and weapon upgrades, as well as the perk system and VATS, they did a great job showing without bashing the audience over the head with needless exponential dialogue.
That last scene was the one that fully sold me on the show. The resigned "okey-dokey" with The Ink Spots song starting in the background... I can't really imagine anything more "Fallout-y" Loved it.

It’s one of my favourite older shows. Feel like I should watch it again this year.
The props that you see in the back ground are amazing, so true to the games. And I love the giant bag gag that the squires have to carry around with all the equipment for the knights. so freaking hilarious.

Also when knight Titus is fighting the Yao Guai and it roars causing Titus to run away I think it’s supposed to be a Easter egg towards the fear ability that some enemies have causing the player to run away

I've seen all 8 episodes and it is great. Stats true to Fallout, is filled with references, but you don't need to know the games to follow the show...
I absolutely love the show and hope we get way more iterations of the fallout universe in other forms of media because they’ve just made it so fun from what I’ve seen so far!!

I know Michael Emerson as Harold Finch from the first TV show him and Jonathan Nolan did together in Person of Interest he's absolutely brilliant in that show and one of the 2 leads in the show alongside Jim Cavizel this was a cool role he gave him

I keep thinking the actor who played Maximums seems familiar. Now I know that he looks like Jonathan Majors. Umm, maybe Marvel can recast Majors with him to play Kang. 😅
I feel like there were two types of viewers being introduced to Michael Emerson's character. There were the Lost viewers, wondering if he was going to be a sadistic, cunning villain, or Person of Interest viewers wondering if he'd be a good hearted genius.
It looks like the Harold Finch side of Michael Emerson won though, even featuring a canine companion just like Harold.
In episode one, when I saw the target pictures, I immediately thought of Finch and Bear.

Sellers survival guide gives you a little bit of background on the vault tech side of things. It’s more sort of like a promotional videos in the universe, but it doesn’t really give away anything as far as the actual show itself.
