No problem guys! Glad to give you your first live Tool experience!!!!
Man, that's a pretty cool thing of you to do. Er.... a TOTALLY cool thing to do. Nice one!
Damn, that's such a cool (and nice) thing to do!
that is fantastic!! hope you guys love it.
Thank you so much!! 🙌🔥 it was a dream come true that i will remember forever! This band is SO unique and it sounds freaking awesome, and it was so cool to be around others who appreciate them!
I hope they do a review of the show. If it was like the show I saw, it will be a high water mark that all other shows get compared to. Have fun!
The song is about growing as a human being and releasing anger and grudges we hold against others. Saturn plays the role of the interrogator in astrology and it visits you every 29 years, which is how long it takes saturn to orbit the sun. . If you've learned your lessons and released anger, it will lift you up to a higher plane of existence. If you remain prideful and seeking vengeance, it will drag you back down to begin learning again. You will repeat this cycle of either evolving and ascending to a higher plane or continually being brought back to the beginning until you get it right.
That was briliant. You just showed me humanity isn't all bad
@@andrethomas7096 humanity is what each of us chooses to make of ourselves. So, in that, I choose to love you, Andre, and hope for the best to find you.
I'm 51 years old and I failed the first time Saturn found me. I was angry and prideful and was taken right back down again. I hope to be up to the task the next time I'm visited so that I may become that which I've failed to become so far.
@@clintwood9472 I'm still trying at 50. A lot of frustration not anger for me. Maybe all that is going on in the world. Hell our parents said the same thing but this time it feels different. Thank you and bless you.
One of the most succinct a perfect summations of this song I've ever seen from someone...and as a TOOL nut, I've seen a LOT of people going into essay format to explain this. Pedantic bores. It really is as simply put and exact as you put down. Bravo, clint.....Bravo.
Brilliant 😎🙌
Since Neil Peart passed away, Danny Carrey is THE best drummer alive.
Idk even if he was still alive , Danny still might be
Yea he was really really good. I was blown away by the speed and precision 🥲
I don't know man, Lars Ulrich is still alive 😂
@@hmpz36911 Shame on you
Tomas haake.. even Danny has stated he was starstruck listening to haake..

You can choose to hold a "GRUDGE" and let it continue to drag you down or you can let the "GRUDGE" go and elevate yourself to a better place. Is pretty much this songs meaning.
"What are you gonna do without lyrics at this concert?" 🤣🤣 Made me laugh out loud!
a story in sound
Tool "sounds like an ayahuasca ceremony" may be the most accurate description I've ever heard.
an Apache conjuring
so true. it is a conduit to interdimensional travel.
Wait until they hear Rosetta Stoned!
That 20+ second scream gives me goosebumps every. Damn. Time!! And we got a small taste of it live. Haven’t heard Maynard scream that part live since 2005 🤘
Heard in Feb 22 in DC.....Maynard still got it. Blows me away everytime I hear them live.
Absolutely fantastic! I've been a fan for 30 years and I finally got to see them live last month!!!! Number 1 best experience! EVER!!!!!!
Best morning EVER. waking up to you guys having a blast at a Tool concert is the shit!
"It's gonna be like some kind of ceremony..."
Yup, that's a Tool concert all right. It's definitely an experience you don't forget!
Have fun at the show tonight you two!
I was fortunate enough to see Tool in their prime during the Lateralus tour in 2002...My beautiful wife bought us tickets to their show at the (then) Air Canada Centre in Toronto for my birthday!
We were waiting out on the hall when sudddenly The Grudge started playing and I was like, "Damn, why would they start playing the album when they are playing live tonight??"...Then we saw people running to the floor and realized that the show just started...In other words, their live sound was very studio-esc in quality...I couldn't hear the difference
I absolutely Love Lex's connection with Tool
Have a blast. TOOL is the greatest live band in History. None of the 500 bands I've seen come close
Rammstein?
Saw rammstein on family values tour....not good...Pyro gimmicks
@@michaeldinsen7641 was it the original family values tour from late 90s? If so then their show has expanded and gotten so much better since then. On the family values tour they didn’t have their full set up since they were openers. In that regard early tool shows weren’t anything special either.
Definitely can't argue with that. Seeing them live is a true experience of the senses! The only other band I would mention in the same breath for the ultimate in live performance is Pink Floyd.
Agreed. But my favs were Pink Floyd Pulse tour and NIN With Teeth tour with the mesh video screen in front of the band.
its so crazy as a long time Tool fan, to see all these reaction channels and random people starting to understand what an amazing band they are. Ive been telling anyone who will listen that they are the most important metal/rock band of our time for the last 30 years, its weird to finally see the rest of the world start to agree.
I must say it has been so awesome to watch all the reactors that are just getting introduced to Tool, experience their music here and then seeing some of them like yourselves actually get to experience them live. I know you guys had a great time! Welcome to the family you have now been baptized
Ps. I saw them three weeks ago in San Diego and once again what an out-of-body experience
Can’t wait to see the show review. Been wanting to see tool for 20 years now and still haven’t made it to a show… I hope it’s what you’re expecting and more!
I saw them 20 years ago on the lateralus tour.Im going in march .Without my wife alone. She understood.....
@@nickagarrie have a great time! I could not imagine getting to catch the lateralus tour. Amazing
I’m going in a few weeks. First time. I’m 46. My 21 year old daughter is joining me. I’ve avoided concerts for years because of cost and the overall hassle yet I LOVE live music. My resolution this year and going forward is to not miss any shows that I really want.
We went to see Tool last Wednesday here in San Antonio, it was definitely an experience. Definitely in the top 3 concerts in my life. Have fun y’all. 🤘🏼
Same here, my first Tool concert. Took my 17 yr. old son and he was mesmerized !
That's very cool of that dude. Have an amazing time tonight, you two. It's gonna be a great show. Have fun 👍🏻
So glad to see this man! So many new TOOL fans and old TOOL fans sharing in the same experience. I have tattooed their band logo and name in my body, I have listened and listened and cried along to many TOOL songs. I HAVE HEALED many wounds from my childhood and young adulthood with their music....and now I can proudly say I HAVE EXPERIENCED TOOL LIVE 🙏🙏. I can die now 😂😂
Dude, I cannot believe you guys got to see TOOL live!! I saw them before the pandemic and they were freaking awesome!! So happy to see people who appreciate the music get a chance to experience to enjoy them live. Prepare yourselves for a mind melting experience!!! 👁🧠 I hope you guys do a review of the concert, personally for me, I have to be in the pit for a TOOL concert.
This is still my favorite Tool song. A constant reminder to let things go. And Maynard's 25 second scream. lol.
Tool was my favorite all-time concert, over the theatrics of Rob Zombie, the pyrotechnics of Metallica, the insanity of Slayer mosh pits, etc. Hope you have a blast at the concert! Take it all in, it's an experience!
I've been a Tool fanatic for almost 30 years. I enjoy watching Tool reactions because I'm old and it's what I do ...but I don't really think I've ever heard anyone comment with anything especially unique or insightful - until now. Lex, I will be using your comment of "it's like a story in sound" from now on out. Bravo, my dear. Bad ass.
Tools has their own level of music and live shows. No other band compares. Glad you got to experience it. Check out “lost keys/ rosetta stoned on the 10,000 days album
I'm so excited when I see a reactor that actually appreciates the music get to see them live. I've been to 4 shows and each 1 was an experience beyond words. I've tried to explain it to my wife to get her to go with me but she just isn't ready I guess. Wish me luck for the next tour
She says we can't afford it...but I think she's right because once she goes she won't stop going
Such a beautiful decadence of subtlety that leads into a beautiful symphony of aggression
Enjoy the show! They are awesome live, can’t wait to see them again next week in Boston!
Alright, I LET GO all of my GRUDGES about not enough tool videos. Lex's smirk at 8:35 makes me smile, you can see her head bang right before it kicks in on Maynards scream. She really does have some sort of sixth sense when it comes to Rock.
I used to see Maynard when he lived near my hometown in Michigan in the 80s. He played in a band called TexANS.
The lights and the sound of TOOL. They don't let up.
I saw Tool in Grand rapids Michigan. The concert was suppose to be on 9/11 but because of the tragedy, they rescheduled for the Thursday after 9/11. Maynard was covered up and you couldn't see his face then at concerts. One of the best shows. His voice soared through the Van Andel Arena. Amazing
Enjoy!!! I see them March 10th. The visuals are always great. Maynard tends to sing from the back by the drums with no light on him and they typically don't do an encore fyi. I'm excited for you both. Have fun and be safe.
So pumped for you two. Love your reactions. Spiral Out tonight!
Thanks Brad and Lex, Tool saved my life when I was getting clean and sober.
Right in Two needs a listen 🎶
✌♥️
This made my day! I’m so glad y’all get to experience and see TOOL 🤘🏼🌀
Who ever gave y’all the tickets… solid 👍🏼
I’ve seen 5 shows this tour and think this as is tight as I’ve ever heard. The new set list and visuals are impeccable.
Can’t wait to hear a report 😁🌀🤘🏼
I have a huge grin right now. I am so excited you guys get to go see Tool live!! It will be an experience; I am certain of that. I bought my tickets in early October and I am seeing them at the end of March. Peace and love Brad & Lex!!! Have fun!!
end of March? you going to Cleveland? been waiting since Detroilet in 11/19.
I don’t even need to read the comments or watch the follow up video you do of the concert. I know you loved every damn minute of it. From the instrumentals, Danny’s insane drumming, Adam tearing the place apart with his guitar riffs, Justin’s bass thundering the rafters and Maynard’s voice reverberating throughout your souls! The visuals and light show. The crowd’s vibes. It can’t be topped. Been seeing the boys live since 1996. They have gotten better over time. They’ve never went backwards. Only forwards
Yes finally The Grudge!!!!!!!! My all time fav!!!
I've seen TOOL four times over the past 30 years. The first time I witnessed the shit was at the 1992 Lollapalooza concert (second stage) and was blown away. Nobody knew who the fuck they were back then and they literally destroyed every other act. Including Pearl Jam and The Red Hot Chili Peppers on the main stage. So different. It's been a journey since then and, although TOOL fans are admittedly a bit pretentious, we're insufferable for good reason.
WOW! That is so awesome you get to see TOOL. This tour is amazing. Saw them for the 15th time a few weeks ago! I remember my first TOOL show back in 1996! Please share your experience!
I had missed my chance when they came to my area ,don't miss yours ,seeing great bands is an epic experience that
may never come again ,enjoy them while you can!..👍😎
Great reaction & review you two!...👍👍
SATURN comes back around every 29.5 years, its been used as a marker for people to look forward till its next pass and/or look back , its about personal growth in a nutshell. Sloppy description but kinda get the gist i hope. Any who, headed off to tool, they are wicked awesome live. Be cool to see what transformation it has on brad especially. we know shes going love it . its more than a band playing songs for those who think deeply.
hell yea, glad you guys saw Tool. those tix ain't cheap but they were incredible when I saw them (late 2019)
Tool is definitely on my bucket list to see!
better hurry. they are all pushing 60. with exception of Justin. he's the baby of the group. lol
@@klipfellgames1158 I know right! I finally got to see SlipKnot this year as they are getting up there too!
I went to a Tool concert at the Blaisdell arena in Honolulu. Not a big fan of Arena rock concerts but it was an experience. Plus I kinda meet Kirk Hammett of Metallica who was a special guest on a few songs and was chilling in the tech booth next to me. I tried to lean over and get him to sign my beer napkin, but he wasn't having it.
Welcome to the TooL army, this show will blow your mind!! Enjoy and spiral out.❤️🔥💯🌀😎
Stoked for you two to see Tool. Very special experience
The two of you together have such an amazing dynamic.. spending these years with you both has been a beautiful experience.. I thank you, for bringing us along 🙏🏼
Have fun! I went for the first time 2 days ago. Most amazing musical experience I've ever had
Always great watching you guys listen and react to Tool songs. I think this one of their better compositions in how the lyrics are very much a part of the music. The first segment talks about the grudges we hold against others, what it does to us in a negative way, how reluctant we are to let go of our grudges and how it continues to destroy us until we choose to let them go. There's a musical interlude where Maynard demonstrates his letting his grudges go, transmutating them to 'gold'. He then invites us to let go of our grudges and plays a maelstrom of music at the end while we fill it with our own screams of release. Fantastic song.
One of the most epic screams of all times. And Maynard still has the pipes.
Tool, hands down is the most artistic and precise band in all of Metal/Alternative!
This is one of the best and most important lyrics of Maynard’s career to me. It’s so insightful about the psychology of grudge holding and the effect of forgiveness. I don’t get get all the Saturn shit, but whatevs 😂
I would go with "H." just bcuz he wrote the lyrics about his son Devo. Imo
So excited for you guys!! It’s going to be an awesome show!
Tool, 40 degrees in Sept in NC. Best concert I've ever been too. And yes they played this song!
"What are you gonna do without lyrics at a concert?" Lol. Awesome.
Enjoy the gig you guys! It’s gonna be MIND BLOWING!
Super stoked for you two to these masters in person🤘🤘
OMG I'm so jealous. The concert must be amazing
Tool is the most intellectual group of musicians and theologians to ever lay tracks down. They are very deep!!! Hope you guys had a great time at the concert 🎵.
I can't wait to see your guy's experience from the concert. That is an amazing concert to be able to go and experience.
I’m so happy you guys got to experience tool live rock and roll brad and lex
So fun to see your music journey. Hope you both absolutely loved the concert and I’m going to my first TOOL concert as well when they get to Sweden in April. Have loved this band since I was 12 years old and I’m finally gonna get to see them live at the age of 21
Tool fans are normally some of the smartest, nicest people out there in my opinion. lol Tool music is very deep and introspective. With mystical and growth in spirituality as part of their teachings. Astrology stuff isn't uncommon in their music either. Music not normally for the close minded. Need an open mind. Yall are perfect for Tool music.
Yall will enjoy their concert! Progressive metal. Brad will love their drums to keep him in it. Very tribal drum beats and they have signature changes and tempo changes in their music.
Super excited for you two! I'm going to see them in Detroit and Grand Rapids next month.
just saw them in H-town 2-4-22,, they killed it...🔥🔥🔥
Enjoy guys. looking forward to your follow up video. TOOL TOOL TOOL yeah baby.
Just saw them a few weeks ago. So glad you guys got to see them.
Ooohhh shiz!!! I am soo excited you guys are going tonight! I went in Tuesday. Yes the grudge is on the list.
Just watched the Vlog. I couldn’t be happier for you two.
One does not just simply “pause TOOL” 🤣
Saturn comes around every 28 years, representing a change or evolving time in one’s life. 28 years is also around 10,000 days 😉
The same amount of time Maynards mom suffered before dying. The grudge is the stone that will weigh you down if you do not let go!
Let em pause, I wanna hear their thoughts. Also Tool is musically dense to most people, give them some time to digest it.
Tool is a very cerebral group and complex. They seem like beginners of Tool. Let them pause and reflect.
I think he was riffing off of “one does not simply walk into Mordor” and yet, if you’ve seen the movies, that’s essentially what they did. I think he’s likening pausing Tool to walking into Mordor: one can and probably should do it, but it’s going to cause a disturbance of some sort.
So when he screams go is the same duration in seconds for Saturn returns. That’s how brilliant they are 🤯
Tool is good for the brain and soul.
This song has to be one of my favorites. This is awesome you got to see them live. They're awesome live!
Have fun! Saw them a few weeks ago. Tool is fantastic in concert.
Y'all are blessed as fuck right now you got some great fans in this page for real That's a real that's a real fam right there congratulations man you guys are going to love it
How amazing you’ve been given the chance to see them!! I’ve been listening to them my whole life and saw them live or the first time in 2019. It’s definitely once in a lifetime for some!
Saturn is the astrological symbol for Karma and can also represent when people reach maturity. The Stone is a reference to the philosopher's stone from Alchemy which was sought to transmute metal (usually lead) into gold. He was going for 29 seconds on the scream. He made it 27ish. He does it well live but not that long.
This song is constantly rotating through my top 5 favorite Tool songs.
I'm so happy for you Lex! It's going to be great! Jamal aka Jamel went to see them. I can't go in Colorado shot mandate
Someone gave you Tool tickets! Thats wild. Im going to see them in Budapest in May :)
Hope you guys have a great time at TOOL!!!!
So hype for yall! Just be yourselves. Have no expectations and enjoy your vibes! Create memories! Congrats.
Your going to ❤️their show... Seen them 2 best concerts ever been too...
You should do a reaction to seeing Tool Live. It's a thing. I'd love to hear what you experienced
You guys have definitely been one of the gifts of all time to see true artistic genius!
Saturn is literally Saturn. It's orbital period is about 30 years, so at most Saturn will ascend In your lifetime 3 times. It's a song about how grudges weigh down the soul/spirit and drag you down. Choose to let it go and ascend like Saturn, you only have so many chances to turn your life around. Btw the scream is 30sec long, same as the orbital period of Saturn in years.
TOOL ARMY there is one big family. You will be surprised. Enjoy
Best give any human ❤ could ever receive 🙌 👏 💯 🙏 ❤ 👌
It's as simple as give away the stone you wanna throw at someone from a gruge you hold. Saturn's rotation around the sun is 27 years 10,000 days which is supposed to be a relevant experience for us each in a profound way. A few examples I can think of is the 1st and most significant to this song being Maynards mom was paralyzed 27 years til her passing. Another is the 27 club. Google 27 club rock n Roll singers. So yeah that 25 sec scream 😱 is followed by him screaming LET GO!!!!!!! OVER & OVER
LATERALUS!!!!! Seeing them live is unbelievable. Five times for me now...
been noticing alot of reaction vids from you guys. Their live shows are the best and second to none. Would love to see a reaction on one of their concerts.
I love TOOL, so deep and provocative. I miss living in S. FL, seen so many shows. Jealous of y'all, but happy you got to experience it. Love y'all
I want to hear all about it when you get home!
Hey what's up guys! Greetings from South Florida! So glad you guys got to go to the tool concert, already watched that video. Tool rocks! And so do you guys! God bless you! Peace!
Gonna see them in DC on the 22nd! Cant wait!!!!
im stoked for you guys to see them live, nothing like it
'maybe the grudge is your burden.' YES
I seen them last week in San Antonio, Awesome show.
