I feel like these have a darker meaning. Like this is how it is for Jimin...he smiles at the camera but inside he can't hold himself together. he feels like he is "caught in a lie" of who he is. Jimin's song makes me emotional. I feel for him. I think this song speaks about him suffering from identity crisis as an idol. I think he feels like he's caught in a lie. A lie about who and what he is really like, a lie that he can't undo anymore because he has been doing it for so long and people expect him to act and be that certain way. I feel like a lot of idols suffer from identity crisis because the public is always watching their every move and they are always expected to be the very best versions of themselves and to be the role models of youth. But as every other human being, we aren't perfect at all. We have flaws. We make mistakes. But as an idol, unfortunately, you can't really show all that. I'm not sure if Jimin is actually suffering from depression but in his lyrics, it feels like he is. The lyrics perfectly fits someone who is trying to hide his depression from himself and everyone else. Lying about feeling okay when he's not. He smiles, laughs, and acts happy because he doesn't want someone to know how his life is actually nothing but a living hell. He lies because he can't accept his own depression and other people won't accept it. He can't really understand why he is like this either so how can he even try to explain it to someone else? He doesn't want to burden everyone so he keeps it to himself. He tries to hold everything in. Always trying to keep it together but he knows that it never goes away. It only grows stronger, bigger and heavier, engulfing his entire being. He needs someone to help him. He wants someone to save him. He wishes people would listen and understand but he can't even tell anyone. Because no one is willing to listen and no one will ever understand. So he suffers...silently. Alone. Lost. Caught in his own lie. Trapped in his own pain. Drowning in his sadness, hopelessness and despair. There is no escape. He desperately tries to find his lost innocence and act like the person he was before but he can hardly find that person in the past. Because that person is long gone. Now, he is nothing but a liar, living a lie.

Theory(Actually Save me reference): Jimin tries to lie during his monthly check-up in the hospital in front of camera that he doesn't remember his trauma or that it doesn't affect him anymore and he is fine. But suddenly he gets a seizure and he is caught in a lie. He did all this because he wants to get out. He doesn't want to see his mother who occasionally comes just to pent her anger at him. He just wants to get away from the suffocating hospital which feels like a prison to him.

Edit- I am reading Demian and these lines that RM is saying is in very first 2 pages and I am freaking out!! Not just the lines RM said in this short film, but all the 7 short film of wings era, what RM was saying was from Demian!! Omg I will say it again.
