Thanks for this video! I’ve tried broad targeting many times with new e-commerce ad accounts, and they never seem to bring results compared to smaller interest audiences. The budget is usually $20-30 daily. The clients always get impatient after weeks of no sales 😅

Hi, really nice video thank you very much ! How do you setup your ABO ? Each winner ads in a seperate adset ? For the 3 campaign(ABO, CBO+ and BID) do you use the same creative or its 3-6 ads different in every campaign ? Thank you !
Because not all of my scaling camapigns are going to be ran as ABOs. Therefore I want a separate campaign that I can see each ad and its results controlled.
Measure on a 3 day basis to decide whether or not to turn off a campaign/ads completely. If the campaign is just bad for the day just reset the budgets at 12 am. If it’s unprofitable on a 3 day window then turn it off it completely
Hey Alex, thanks for the great video. How should one handle bid caps during the day? If my budget is set to €300 and my bid is €65, then Facebook doesn't spend the money completely. Should I scale the bid on good days? So, just increase the bid cap every 3 hours, e.g., from €65 to €75 and then to €85, as long as the ROAS is good. If the ROAS turns bad, then reduce the bid caps again.

That's interesting! i'm gonna try it, i have two questions, when i add new creatives on my ABO it ruined my ROAS during the day, how can i add new creatives on the BM without disturbing the ROAS from the campaign which the creatives are added ? And you said in the video that we should not be afraid to cut adset if they are not performing, I have a CBO and Advatantage + running too, can i cut the ad sets which are not performing, is that gonna disturb the algorithm of the campaign where i cut those ad sets ?

Hey Alex, is $1600 the max budget that you scale each campaign to? or have you tried this surf scaling strategy starting off with a higher budget than $100 then scaling much further that $1600?
Up to your personal preference/comfort level. I have started budget at $300 and then by 6pm they were up to $2400+. I'd increase as much as you can remain profitable and take advantage of those winning pockets.

Exactly, why wait 3 days or however long to get a campaign out of the learning phase to start spending? It's never been an issue for me, but something you can split test. You could have 2 identical camapigns and Have 1 campaign that you scale as I showed in the video and 1 campaign that you gradually increase the budget by 20%.

It's performing very weirdly, like 3 days in a row roas 2-3, where all adsets perform good, then 2-3 days with roas 0.5-1 (all adset perform sh*t). Overall campaign is still profitable. I am doubling down on testing ads, but it still incredibly unstable. How would you manage it?
Typically I have 1 ABO testing campaign (I call it my creative sandbox) and whatever performs best I would take the existing post ID and move it to a new Scaling campaign. From what you are stating if its 2-3 days in a row where it will be good or bad on a consistent basis you may need to adjust your budget for buyer behavior. So scale more aggressively on those 3 days where performance is usually higher and scale down on the days where it usually doesn't perform well. I have had products in the past that do really well during the week but on the weekends underperform so take that into account. Hope that helps... i have campiagns with 10 sales within 4 days , should i apply bud cap strategy ? and do i have to duplicate the same campaign 5 times and schedule it for tomorrow?
Before you run multiple duplicate campaigns with bid caps you should try to find your "winning bid" first. Test ranges around 2x your AOV - if you want to be more agressive in spending test 3x. Once you have your winning bid(s) I wouldn't do more than probably 3 of the same duplicated campaigns if you are going to go that route. My example for 5 was shown for demonstation purposes. But most importantly over everything is you need to test before dumping money into any campaign type.

Ah gotcha. Yeah with smaller budgets you might stick with interests. Because we spend $10000s per day we need broad audiences in order to scale

No Bid cap is always your profit margin like if you are selling something 100$ and your profit margin is 65$ then you can set your bid cap 65$

QUESTION - Do you re-start the campaigns/ads that you turned off at 12 am to see if they work the next day or once they are OFF they are discarded?

Not if you are already profitable on that campaign - also why you check in every 3 hours
Why 2x AOV for bid cap? That’s a lot or even 3x.
Because ideally you are scaling and you want your Bid to spend. If it's too low then facebook wont push any spend towards the campaign.
