    Creating rule if cpr goes 35 then Decrease the budget i think making changes frequently to the campaign ll lead to learning or learning limited which is not good for our campaigns because if you are making any campaign then you should run atleast 7-10 days. Correct me if i m wrong and guide the better one 😊 thanks

      Firstly, I wouldn't be overly worried about the learning phase. It's not that big a deal. Secondly, this budget change is small to the point where it shouldn't put you back in the learning phase.

My question would be that if somebody made a larger test to put this new scaling strategy beside the old one and to see which is performing better in the same conditions? I see that it doesn't make sense to test the exact same campaign duplicated, with the two different scaling method to not compete to each other, but I hope there is a way to see the difference between the two. Thank you very much!

    Thanks Ben. Great content as always. I just completed your Facebook Insider course and I highly recommend it to anyone starting out!
    My concern is the possibility of frequent changes sending the campaign, ad sets, and ads back into the learning phase. Will a 3% daily increase trigger this? If not, about high can we go without triggering the learning phase.
    Lastly, if I have one ad set or ad performing much better than the others, is there a way for me to only increase the budget on that ad set or specific ad? My daily budget was set up for the entire campaign. Thanks Again!

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  Год назад +2

      Thank you very much for the kind words :)
      I wouldn't worry about that. 3% will not have that effect. The generally accepted amount is 10% but I have seen this not be so cut and dry.
      I would pause the underperforming elements and scale away :)

    Hi Ben, Thanks once again for an amazing video - given in your last video on scaling weekly with set amounts, I am wondering if you have a rule of thumb when you would increase by weekly increments vs daily % rules?

    • @wayneli4070
      @wayneli4070 Год назад +1

      Yeah lol, I was checking the other scaling tutorial in which he recommended scaling weekly for stability. If you have a below mid-priced product that is suitable for a broad audience and a daily campaign budget under $200-$500, my advice would be to ignore these fixated rules and scale them based on daily performance: No. of results, CPA, etc. There are no fixed rules at this budget level tbh, it's only when you get to above $1000 campaign budget and by then you should increase the budget by a small amount every time.

  • @pauloinatel
    @pauloinatel 11 месяцев назад

    Ben, this is exactly the opposite of the last scaling video when you talk about the scaling mistakes. You said "if you do it everyday your campaign won't have time to stablish stability". So did you change your mind?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  11 месяцев назад

      It's not the opposite but it is a different strategy. We're using this one more and more and in this video I do explain when you want to use each. In the previous video I said that you didn't want to scale everyday but that was referring to larger increments, which makes all the difference.

  • @j1jordz966

    Hey Ben, great video. I’m planning on increasing my daily budget for a few winning Ads. But I’m torn between how to effectively do this.
    For example. I don’t know whether to just manually increase the daily budget for that specific Ad OR to simply duplicate the entire Ad and then just double the Ad spend.
    However my concern is with the new duplicated Ad wouldn’t it have to go through an entire new learning phase again?
    If that is the case, don’t you think it would be better to just amend the current Ad and just increase the Daily Ad spend?
    What’s your thoughts on this mate? Pros and Cons? If you can get back to me that would be very much appreciated. 🤝

How would you go about scaling in this situation?

    • @BenHeath

      With this set up, you don't have anything to worry about. The worst case scenario is that your budget is increased or decreased 3% once. That is very easily undoable in the rare event that something like that happens.

    I don't understand two things. Previously you said that a 10% increase in budget doesn't make sense and it should be higher... no you say 3% increase. What's even more confusing, you said that we shouldn't change our ads too often but make a change every 5 to 7 days so FB has time to optimize the ads. Now you say, we change the budget every single day?

    • @notme5744
      @notme5744 Год назад +4

      I think the higher than 10% increase is if you're doing it on a week by week basis, where it would take much longer to scale and so would make more sense to increase it by a larger percentage. I would imagine that if you're doing it by 3% per day then it works out about the same as if you were increasing by a larger percentage on a weekly basis. With regards to changing the ads every day, I think that because it's just a small increase in budget that it won't affect facebook's optimisation so won't matter if you're doing it daily.

Quick question about Meta ad attribution, we have campaign doing very well, one of our customers turn into a wholesale buyer, buying 30 orders in 14 days at good discounts, now those orders are kept registered in Meta ads account and we end up with a creative that yield 30 orders, each at CPA = 0.3 usd which is ridiculous. In this video though, it is suggesting doing that exact thing by using daily auto adjustments at 3%. I may be missing something though so I thought I would ask here and see if you can clarify. I apologize if I missed something obvious, I am just doing research for launching a new campaign and want to follow the best advice.

      @BenHeath  Год назад +1

      Sure it's a good question. What a lot of people will do is increase a budget by say 20% every few days. That you want to avoid and you have the worst of both worlds. You are increasing the budget too quickly and doing so in large enough increments to disrupt the campaign. You either want to do so in small enough increments that the disruption is minimal or less frequently and in larger increments.

    This is really helpful, Ben. But now I wonder about the audience needing to expand while increasing the budget.
    I have one campaign, structured the way you've recommended in an older video. Is that structure still recommended? (CBO, a lookalike, a cold, plus retargeting all in one?)
    I'm afraid I'll need to increase my audience as I increase my $50/day budget. My best performing sales ad set in my CBO campaign is a 1% lookalike with only 3-4 million in the audience. The other is a cold audience ad set of 5-7 million (but FB loves the lookalike the best); the only other ad set is retargeting which has a small minimum spend or else it gets nothing.
    Is adding new ad set to this same campaign the best thing to do? Or will it negatively impact the optimization? Or are we at a point where we should be keeping the number of ad sets to a minimum and go broad?
    Thank you, Ben!!

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  Год назад +2

      Happy to help :)
      I do like to introduce new ad sets into the existing campaign - that way you benefit from the learning that has already taken place.
      I do still like using the previously recommended structure.
      And increasing a lookalike % as you scale for example, is something we do often.

    There might be a bit of a problem with that tactic - Facebook under- and over-reporting. What do you think about that?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  Год назад +1

      That is always something to think about. If you are using something like instant forms then don’t worry about it. Otherwise I think there are things you can do to mitigate. Firstly the 3 day time horizon helps and can be expanded. Secondly you can set your target result a bit further away from the actual number.

    Hi Ben, amazing video my man! I wanted to ask I know sometimes when you keep increasing your budget Meta can reset your audience data. By using this strategy, would it affect the audience data / reset it?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  Год назад

      Thanks a lot. Meta doesn't reset audience data when you scale. You do sometimes see campaigns re-enter the learning phase but that's not the same thing and won't happen with these scaling increments.

    If a create a rule for campaign and have ABO does it work on ABO also
    Or
    If i have CBO and i setup rule for adsets does it work on CBO as well
    Now should i create a rule for both separately or campaign or adset ?

    Mate you're a lifesaver. I have a dropshipping store and I'm running 2 successful CBO campaign ( same product but different ads set and creative) and each with only 1 interest and 1 creative.
    I've been duplicating each campaign, also manually recreating the same campaign and increasing CBO budget by $1 but it's getting worse.
    My ad account is a mess now. I used to get 15 sales a day and now just 1 or 2 sales.
    Do you think i should turn off all campaign and follow your technique?

    Top quality information! Question; with a high CPL, our agency usually just turn of the ad set/ads and create new one in order to see find new good performing ads. I would not in this case see any reason to have an automated decrease percentage rule if I were to turn of the ads either way. What's your input on this?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  Год назад

      Sure you can stick with that approach instead if you prefer. Some businesses won't be in a position to create new ads whenever they need so will need to be more budget focused.

    Do you have a video on how to calculate the max lead costs? I sell courses and sometimes people buy the course months after optin. I only feel about what is too costly and what is not. The ROA is not helpful because Facebook tracking is not reliable. I use Sam Ovens's tracking sheet but this gives me not full confidence. I would love to have a concrete number and scale the shit out of fb till I reach this max cost without worrying :D

    Hi Ben, great video as always. I have followed your process above and am confident that my rule should be implementing however my lifetime budget still remains the original. Therefore, how can I trust that this is working? Should I be seeing a live reflection in the budget column? I'm tempted to scrap the rule and just add the extra budget so at least I know it will spend the full scaleable amount.

    Hi Ben! Extremely engaged with your content here! Would also audiences overlapping among ad sets affect in a similar way? For instance, I'm getting a winning ad set to its maximum scalable point, so now I'm planning to scale the campaign in a horizontal way, that is, starting running a new ad set (new audience) within the same campaign, but part of the audience of this new ad set will probably overlap with the one from the old ad set. So If I do so, will my old winning ad set start to underperform then? Any suggestions or better ideas when an ad set is not scalable anymore?

    • @BenHeath

    Thanks for this it is helpful. I have one question - You have selected 3 days as a time range so it means in the last 3 days CPR should be less than 30 pounds. However, with CPR we also put 8K impression condition. Do you think it will be difficult to get both the condition right at a same time?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  Год назад

      Good question, but it won’t be for most advertisers as 8,000 impressions doesn’t cost a lot. If you are operating with a smaller but then you can change the timeframe
