The whole soap making is fun, but the cutting part is the most satisfying to watch.
I agree. I like your name Sam LSD
Gorgeous swirl soap! I love the color combination for sure!
Loved the blue spatula in the blue soap and black spatula in the black soap
I didn’t even plan that. I noticed it too when I watched it 🤣
Beautiful colors! I love how you put the remaining soap into those awesome puck molds so nothing went to waste - what a great idea!
I had never seen the technique of melting the solids with the lye water. The outcome was amazing. Right up my alley.
This is a gorgeous fragrance. I used it to make a spa/salt bar. Huge hit!
I tried it and it smells like laundry detergent to me. Maybe I got a bad batch?
You’re so awesome Julie. I have been debating on using this fragrance oil, I don’t love it in the bottle, but sometimes they surprise you. I’ve got to try it now. That is a sexy soap.
Isnt it funny how FOs can be so offputting in the bottle so so nice innthe actual soap? Idk why that is!
I just came and saw this one after having watched a lot of your more recent videos...I love how you gave heat transfer method another try and now all your recent videos use it! I just tried it out this week and I love it! Thanks for the inspiration.
This my beauty is a beauty! Nothing like a black & blue soap!💙
In LOVE with that color!
the music is so good that i just listen to it in the background while looking at other stuff
Your videos are so simple and straight to the point 🥰🥰
Love the swirl💕 so gorgeous
So beautiful! You inspire me to make soaps. 😊
That’s great!! ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely decadent! Thanks for sharing this with us!
Random question. When you are slicing the block I can see what looks like pots of colour. Is it a display or is that how you store your colours. Would love to see a clear pic if possible?
The soap looks gorgeous too. Very brave doing heat transfer, thank you for sharing,
I call it my mica wall 😍 I have a magnetic board and I glued magnets to the lids of my micas. I’ll try to get a good shot for a upcoming video 😬
Those spots appear sometimes because micas are not mixed well
I love the music on your soap videos.
Thanks for making these beautiful videos!!!🥰❤💐🌸😍🌼
Watching your videos are so satisfying!
Thank you :)
So freaking satisfying
That is awesome Ophelia. Thank you
Ooooh your swirls are always so gorgeous! Watching the lye melt the oils was so satisfying but I don’t think we’re there yet ourselves... would be so certain it would get too thick too quick!
It always has with me. This time I got lucky lol But I’m excited to try again. It does save time.
The name is perfect for this design!
Am I the only one to see the really cool skull in one of the cut bars? It’s at 9:24! Gorgeous soap!
I totally do! Look at the back of the loaf at 7:50! There is another!
The pink silicone molds remind me of licorice all sorts and now I need to get me some
I love that blue!!!!
You made the heat transfer method look so easy. I think I’ll give this try. Thank you so much for sharing. 🙂
You’re welcome ☺️
I've been bitten by the soaping bug, and have been researching and watching vids while I assemble supplies. I came across yours and next thing you know I'm buying bars! Love your colors and bar size/shape! Your videos make me want to get my hands on them!
Thank you!!!! It’s such an addiction 😍 🧼
This is a lovely men's soap. Id like to see it done in a dark cobalt blue with the black.
Lovely soap. Love the colors
That’s a beautiful soap.
It stayed pretty fluid.....you’ve inspired me to try it 😉
I love love love this video thanks for actually showing which essential oils are being used cause I'm always so curious on what people use. After seeing that I am now subscribed.
Very magical
I have never tried black & blue together for soap 💙🖤 I love it
I will try it in the New Year.
Lovely! I'm inspired to try the heat transfer method. It seems to be so much more efficient.
It really is great! Just make sure your oils/ butters are in smaller chunks :)
Amazing and beautiful soap.
Very beautiful soap!
Simple (compared to most of your videos) but gorgeous!
Omg! That’s amazing!
I love how every bar is different, and it's a good different. The colours are amazing and the finished product look great!
So pretty and your colors stayed true! That issue you had with the yellow might just be that light color perhaps? Anyway, all of your creations are beautiful, gel or no gel, it is a delight to watch. Thank you for sharing! :-)
Precioso, Me encanta. Estoy enamorada de sus elaboraciones tan tan bonitas ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful colours
Beautiful.
What a wonderful video! So well explained and quick. New like and subscriber.
Thank you so much. I appreciate you being here 🥰
Wow thanks for sharing
Love the colors! I am going to try to duplicate this with melt and pour! I’m still intimidated about c/p. I did one batch and was like 😱
Oh gosh the color would look amazing in Melt and Pour 😍
Thanks for video.
Watched it on 2x speed, awesome soap
Thank you ☺️
I bet that was fast! Lol I sped it up to 2x speed when I edited it.
I can just see this style but in pink and gray!
the trick with this method is to really be careful with the amount of stick blending you do. i find that it stays runny for me for quite a while but once it starts to set up, it's all over red rover.
Stunning!!
Last question: On average, how much does each bar weigh? Is there an industry standard weight for bars of soap? I'm asking because I want to make my bars in the right size and weight. Thank you again. I subscribed yesterday and look forward to learning your brilliant techniques.
You can make them any size. Most people cut them to be around 4-5pz. Mine are 7oz. I cut mine to be a little thicker :)
So you just poured fresh lye water over the hard oils?
Yes. :)
💙🖤💙🖤💙 love it!!
Nice content
super swirls and colour combination I only wish we could smell the soap to lol
Hiya! I’ve haven’t come across this way of melting the hard oils before! Could you explain hair to do it and when (does the lye water need to come down to a certain temperature first etc?)... I’m a bit mesmerised now about this technique, I reckon it could save me loads of time and enable me to make soap more regularly without taking so much time away from family 🙌 thanks in advance!
As soon as you mix your lye into your water and it dissolves fully (about 1 minute of stirring) you want to pour it over your hard oils. You want the heat to melt the oils so you’ll will not want it to set and cool. Also make sure your oils and butters are in smaller chunks so they melt faster :)
Thank you so much for that! 🤗
The charcoal doesn’t stick to skin or absorb fragrance?
No :)
Grrr...I am jealous! I am a newbie and I can't even get defined swirls yet.
Absalutely Beauful job!
Question, if you are still available...how come my beautiful melatic micas, do not show through, in cold process. It seems like it is a waste of melatic properties, and I should just use regular pigments.
Thank You!🙌
I think it’s because soap turns more solid and opaque so the sparkle doesn’t come through like it would with melt and pour. I still use mica :)
@@OpheliasSoapery Thank you for taking the time to reply!🙌 I agree
What a nice job well done , question what is the lye water ? And most the soap I’m watching they used the sodium hydroxide but in ur video it wasn’t right? Sorry for these questions I’m new in soap fans. Thanks in advance
Sodium hydroxide is lye :)
@@OpheliasSoapery thanks a million
You’re welcome 😊
Good job
What temp is your lye before adding the oils? Won’t this scorch them?
The lye water is super hot. Around 200° but as soon as it hits the butters and oils it cools down instantly. It doesn’t scorch :)
Sorry if you seen my previous reply. I forgot I did the heat transfer method for this soap 🤣
Does the hard oils weight the same as if it was melted?
Yes :)
@Josephine Gibson Weight will stay the same when melted. It's only the Volume that changes.
I am so interested of your cutter where May y buy it. Thank you
There are links to them in the description box :)
I have older versions so they look different :)
I thought we should make sure the temperature of lye solution and oil at almost the same temperature before mixing the two together ?
You can totally do it that way. But you can also do it this way :)
Ophelia’s Soapery I see. Thanks a lot for your reply. I asked coz I am a newbie and I soaped once at low temperature (both lye and oil were at 86°f ) and the soap was crumbly at certain parts. Someone told me it’s because I soaped at low temperature.
Ha ha no Rahma I am talking of the pots on the wall! 🤣
🤔
Hi, great stuff. Does the heat transfer method cause any of the oils and butters to overheat causing deterioration of the health benefits to the skin? Just curious as it must be pretty hot when you first pour it on. Thanks. :-)
I don’t believe so. It cools down rapidly as soon as you start mixing :)
How come your soap never has the bumps in it when you cut it? Is that about the oils you use? Or the temp you soap at?
I do get them. Usually after they’ve cured for a while. I plane my soaps so it smooths them out.
@@OpheliasSoapery Thank you so much for replying.
Only 18 hrs later and the soap is ready to be cut? I have zero exp in making these, but some vids say like 30+ days to wait. I bit puzzled now, hmmm.... :/
Yes you can cut the soap after 18 hours. I think you’re thinking of curing. Yes you want to cure your soap for 30 days (it lets the water evaporate and the soap will be harder, last longer in the shower and more gentle)
Not sure if anyone can answer this for me or not. So, I've noticed in this video, her mixtures are liquid but seem to be well mixed. Whenever I'm ready to pour mine into the mold, (not this recipe) it's basically pudding. My lye solution is 130 degrees, and my oils and fats are 130 degrees before I add my solution to it. Am I over emulsifying it? Is it because I'm using beef Tallow and not strictly vegetable products? I haven't been doing this long, obviously, but I'd like to make designs like this and with the end result I'm getting, it's not necessarily pourable.
I always like to have my lye water and oils at room temperature (around 75-85°) the warmer you soap the faster your batter will thicken up.
On this video with the heat transfer method I had my liquid oils at room temp and by the time my lye water melted my hard oils it was around 110° so when I added my liquid oils it cooled it down to 98°. I also try and do as little stick blending as possible. The more you do the thicker it becomes.
I hope I helped! ❤️
@@OpheliasSoapery Yes, thank you :) I'll give it a try with a smaller batch and hopefully have some different results
The first time I soaped at room temp. It changed my life 🤣❤️❤️❤️
question what size mold is that I went to their website and I honestly don't know what to start out with I know I don't want to start out with 25 lb
Definitely the single loaf for starting out. www.workshopheritage.com/collections/soap-molds/products/mini-2-pounds-tall-skinny-soap-mold-with-silicone-liner
what is your preservative in this soap
Soap does not need a preservative. Soap has pH level that does not allow mold or bacteria growth in your soaps.
Where did you get the small pink molds from?
eBay :)
I've used that fragrance before. It REALLY LASTS in cold process soap.
رائع جدا
Darn I wanted see them coming out of the molds more than the big box :(
Well Hi fellow Okie!
Hi!!! 💗💗
Where did the white come from?
There isn’t any white. But the blue definitely lightened up a bit.
Excellent soap swirling and method, never seen that before using n the heat transfer method. Music is corny though. Sounds like low budget 1990 movie🙄
Crazy!!!!! I seen faces in every bar . ALOT of creepy ones too! so cook
The music from where.. Please ??
It’s called Orange by Topher Mohr and Alex Elena. It’s a song RUclips provides.
Do you by any chance sell these bars of soap on eBay if so how do I find you or if you sell them somewhere else could you send me a link so I can buy them I'm sick of buying soap that has dangerous chemicals and it's high time that I finally use clean homemade soap that cleans you up all the same but better cuz you know there's nothing dangerous in it. from moonlight shine 💙
I do not sell on eBay. But I do have a website :)

How much did the batch in this video yield?
How many bars? Or how big is the batch in oz?
I want to know the weight yield as well as how many bars are in each batch. Incredible work! Thank you for posting this video!!!
I believe it was 120oz of oils and since this batch was cut in my half size bars it yields 36 bars. But normally I would get 18 full size bars.
Hi , i am new in your chanel. My english is not so good. How can i ccontact u.? I want yo start my bissnes. From Argentina and spain. Thanks
Wow nice. I want
😃😃😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lovely, but too big for my palm...well they appear quite large.
You can cut a soap in half. Last twice as long too 😉
8:10 nightmare before Christmas?
I seen it too!
8:10 and 8:57 there’s a jack-o-lantern face on the side of the soap block 🎃
The piece at 9:24 looks like a skull. 💀
wow so cool
LOVE watching this maker work! Very straightforward. No miss, no fuss, no self aggrandizement. No backpatting! Simply does what they set out to do in a calm, realistic manner...
Thank you sooo much. I appreciate that 💖💖💖💖💖
I knew lye heated when mixed with water, but I didn’t know it got that hot.
Very good music choice, it was really “stranger things” soap making version!! 👌🏻🤘🏻👍🖤
Thank you ☺️
I love the figure at 7:55! Long, flowing, gorgeous haired gal! Super cool!!
It reminds me the Aurora Borealis. You could do it! I love it
Another beautiful soap, love the swirls too.
