    Undercoat the underside of the fenders. Primer and bond are both poris and attract water and moister. You're gonna get those rust spots back in half the time as before.

    I don't know if anyone has said anything, but get some rubberized undercoating to spray in the wheel wells to help prevent rust. They make some that isn't super textured so it wouldn't look weird, and plus since it's rubberized it will help fill all the small holes and gaps that may still exist.

  • @nicolewalther9743
    @nicolewalther9743 6 лет назад

    Consider hitting the flairs with a little heat. That will relax the pressure from bending them to fit. Then you can cut the flairs along the bumper line, attach a quick release and everything should still line up.

    Even on a budget build, use panel bond for glueing. Bondo is only for cosmetic purpose and not for integrity or support. The two part epoxy is range from soft and flexible, semi hard semi flexible and hard as a diamond. And they are permanent. It would be perfect to glue the quarter panel that you cut open back together because it will last the life of the car. And it is waterproof.

    Hey bro if you want to see the imperfections before painting it get some black spray paint and hit the areas you bondoed with a light coat of the black. Then sand down the area using a higher grit sandpaper. It will help if you put the sandpaper on a long block. The high and low areas will become evident. You then can go back with bondo and correct those areas. Repeat this step as many times as you please. I’d say atleast 2 or 3 Times....

    Wow I thought you guys would just slap the overfenders there and call it a day (which wouldn't have looked bad if done properly), definitely wasn't expecting the whole bodywork work. IMO it is a good idea, but you gotta get it right, if not it'll look really bad. Liking how you guys are trying to do things properly. Keep it up!
