There are many solutions to the fender liner clearance. I normally tuck the liner behind the new fold of the fender. That way you don’t leave a gap between the fender and liner as they did. Maybe in their case it was still gonna run so they had to cut. I’d use a heat gun to reshape the liner edge a bit if possible before I did that, and in some cases like my SRT-10 Ram, you just have to clearance a hole such as the area directly above the tire after doing a MAX front end (without control arm bracket fabrication) 2” drop with stock 22” rims & tires.

Great episode! It's like you were reading my mind!
As you were rolling the front, I thought "Hey, DIY does not mean doing it with a baseball bat! Rollers are like 60$!", and bam, you pick up the proper tool for the rear!

As much as I love DIY, there’s certain things you should pay a professional to do. Honestly $300 ain’t bad for a job

  • @chasejones3456

You can literally buy the tool that does this for under $200 and still DIY 🤣🤣
If you buy it from Eastwood Company it's under $90 for the tool

I have done a few methods, pipe/bat, fender roller, papermagazine method.... tbh if you know what your doing with the bat and you raise/lower the coilover accordingly it works pretty good... you usually have to repaint it thou!

I can't believe you paid $300, when you can buy the tool he used for $87.....they are not hard to use, and all the insight the guy gave you is in the instructions. Also most people that use a bat to do this cut the bat down to use for this, also you where using the wrong end of the bat....seemed like you used this video to promote your friends service.

My most versatile tool is my Dewalt Angle grinder. The first thing I did, day one when I bought my brand new ‘99 Civic Si is slap some 17” rims on it, drop it 2” and take an angle grinder to the rear quarters. To achieve a 0* camber, there was very little room to even roll. Did the same to wife’s 05 TL within weeks of taking delivery. Just be sure and use touch up paint at the cuts afterwards. Using tape as a cutting guide is a good way to stay straight.

I've rolled several with a nice soft, heavy hammer and a block of wood with a rag wrapped around it. Just work it slowly the whole length of what you want rolled, going a little at a time (wheel off of course!)... back and forth
