    Fun idea having you both! I'll be honest, I don't watch most gaming pick-up videos but it was cool to see both of your interactions with jealousy and praise on each other's finds. I'd be down if you did more like this.

    metaljesusrocks I enjoyed the longer video and less edited style. Good decision. Alot of us collect vicariously though you i think lol. Im glad Reggie made a channel! I subbed in the middle of this vid.

    • @MetalJesusRocks
      @MetalJesusRocks  9 лет назад +38

      +Guerilla Games It's funny to hear you say that about the editing. This video had two cameras, was color corrected big time to make them match, tons of b-roll AND used almost 400GB of space before rendering. It was DEFINITELY edited a lot... but the ultimate compliment is that you didn't notice and just paid attention to the content ;)

      @altrogeruvah 9 лет назад +2

      +Guerilla Games Me too, man. I started thinking Metal Jesus was being more and more interested in releasing short, Patron-centered videos, but this was great really, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's the reason I was really into PeteDorr's channel: interesting and fresh content, really long videos, no edits and no cursing. Not sure what he's up to nowadays, but there are some great videos to watch. Thanks Metal Jesus, great video.

      Genuinely nice people make much better youtube content. Gaming wise for me its, MJR, AVGN, Pat Nes Punk and AlphaOmegaSin. I actually hated Alpha at first because he seemed like he was trying way to hard to impress. But as it turns out, he is just super passionate about gaming.

    • @RediscoveringRetro
      @RediscoveringRetro 9 лет назад +2

      +LambOfLucifer I agree. I really like MJRs channel because he and his guests are such decent people. I really dislike some youtubers who almost use YT as an excuse to brag and boast, which I can't personally stand. But I do genuinely like MJR and Reggie. MJR is a real old school collector, and this video has been great to watch, very relaxed and their enjoyment is always great to see.

      +Portable Gaming Hub I totally agree. It bothers me when people say that the vita has no games and I stand there be like "have you even looked at the library"?

    • @ricardomora5187
      @ricardomora5187 9 лет назад

      +Portable Gaming Hub I think the problem is the memory card prices and the fact that majority of the population doesn't really have an opinion. They hear one person say oh the vita is dead. And without actually picking up a vita themselves they start regurgitating that info out to the world. Making other people hear and say that

    Sort of...accidentally stumbled upon one of your videos during one of those...y'know...RUclips loop/watching session deals. I'm really enjoying the content the more I watch, and figured the least I could do was subscribe and leave a comment. I appreciate the commitment and the hard work that goes into these, and moreover, appreciate your dedication and truly real love for your collection and the games you share with your viewers. As a collector, you definitely inspire me (and surely others) to get out there, to dig, to get in there with your bare hands and scavenge for those gems, and just push forward because it's worth it. So, you got me! I'll stay tuned, and here's to many more videos and hours of more content for our nostalgia fixes and general enjoyment!

    MJ, I have a great recommendation for you. I recently saw your guitar lineup video. I noticed you don't have any Fenders. I was never a fan of them either. I always like my sharp edged EMG machines. But recently I've started warming up to the fenders, especially the Tele. I bought 2 guitars, a Jim Root Fender Telecaster (Jim from Slipknot), it's a beautiful white and black Tele stripped bare with just a volume knob, 3 way selector an EMG81 and an EMG 60 pickup, without those Tone knobs there's a more direct signal to the crunchy pickups.
    But i bought something alot more interesting also. I was told by many people in my local music scene to pick up a Squier Classic Vibe Strat or Tele... Yes i said Squier! usually cheap version of the american Fenders. But these Classic Vibes are just beautiful, they're beautifully made actually by Fender, and are limited. They were being made at a huge loss and will end up being very collectible, kind of like those original 1990's Squiers that were made with actual fender parts and are now highly sought after as they sound better than the actual fender's from that era. If you're in your local guitar place, try out a Classic Vibe, I literally havn't touched my Jim Root since i got this 350 dollar guitar.. they're just... i can't exsplain it. The telecaster is modeled after the original Tele (Called either a Broadcaster or Nocaster is it's nickname) so it has the original specs, it even has the 3 brass string saddles as opposed to the 6 steel ones adding to the tone in a lovely way!. Honestly, check one out and respond here if you think i've put you onto something beautiful, collectible and cheap for the amazing quality.
    I've had a couple of Mexican strats before, they were about 550 dollars (equivalent) and these 350 dollar Squier's are far superior in both build quality and sound.

    Jason, I'd go so far as to make a separate playlist with just the pickups videos with you and Reggie, my favorite content on this channel and I've been watching for 12 years!

    I especially enjoyed the longer video. I let it play in the background and listen while I do something else. I look at the screen when I hear something that peaks my interest.

    Wow! I really really really REALLY liked this one. Because it feels so comfortable listen to you guys talks about the games, and how did you get them. You and Reggie have a great chemistry too. I just can only imagine a video this long with Kinsey or DrunkMasterPaul! wow!!!

    Very cool video guys! Love you both! :)
    Back in the day, my spoiled friend had a C64 and we played the hell out of it.
    Delivering newspapers for nickels a piece, you can imagine how long it took me to save up some large cash to buy one as well. Trust me, it was painful that I had to work for mine, but it felt great to achieve it all by myself.
    I was in Radio Shack (year 1983/84 - Canada way back in the day) and fell in love with the TRS-80 Color Computer. The thing that sold me on it was Dungeons of Daggorath. The best game ever and I believe it still is today. Awesome computer. Many games to follow as well. Again, thanks guys. :)

    i like the long videos despite my terribly short attention span. i just pause it and go do something else like eat or sleep or play games i come back to it. watching you guys talk about collecting and playing video games is deeply satisfying, you could say its kinda like vicarious living (there are hardly any collectors of your caliber here in the philippines).

    I really like MetalJesusRocks and Reggie (I'm going to subscribe to his channel!). You guys provide interesting information about games and consoles. I so often find other videos, sometimes on those big game websites, where they're really showing off, bashing certain games, failing miserably at being funny, and there's just this arrogance about them. I really appreciate that you guys keep the BS out of your shows. Keep up the great work!!!

    I usually don't like long videos on RUclips, but when you make long video I really enjoy watching it. And I like that you don't use green screen in videos like this. Your room is just perfect background for your videos.

    That commodore's industrial design is incredible for the time.. It really wouldn't look out of place in a scifi movie.

    You guys talking about the codes reminds me of one of my recent pick ups! My gf game me a bunch gbc games and a case. While we were looking through the stuff she found 3 or 4 little pieces of paper that she wrote when she was little with level codes on it. She isn't a gamer, but to see that look on her face when we started playing was magical!
    Great video like always guys! Love seeing all this Reggie on the channel!

    Another thing I'd like to point out is that the Vita is the most powerful cart based gaming console, which means it has a chance of becoming a collectible mainstay for decades since there is no optical drive to wear out.
