    Trains: Class 387 121 (Great Northern) - 2:22
One of two level crossings located within the settlement of Watlington around ten miles south of King's Lynn within the Fenlands of Norfolk. This level crossing has two full-road-width barriers located on the same side of the road. Original halogen lights remain in operation at this level crossing to the day of recording, and are in okay condition despite a broken red light shade on one of them and a twisted amber light on another. Both alarms here are quiet, one of which was sounding with a skipping tone when this video was recorded, and the barriers grind rather loudly when they raise and lower which mostly drowned out the alarm sound, even from up close. The barriers themselves are the only aspect that has changed at this level crossing throughout the years, replacing GWE barriers in the early 2010s. This level crossing is located on the edge of the village of Watlington, a short distance north on the Fen Line from the station, and the road beyond this level crossing leads traffic deeper into the Fens.
When I was filming at this location, I could hear the other level crossing in Watlington, located between the station's staggered platforms, sounding as it lowered for the southbound service shortly after this level crossing was lowered, although I did not have time to visit that level crossing on this date due to the line's lack of train frequency. That level crossing has LED wigwags, and I have since visited and filmed it.
    Thanks for watching!
