This dudes descriptions of who this board is for just sold me. I wanted something more performancey than my sweet potato and to step down slightly in volume.... this is what im ordering monday.
oh right on!! stoked it helped
We had a team rider try my board out and he was loving it!!
He's super picky and he usually does not settle for something that just kind of works for him.
Which I like because he's not one of those team writers that are write anything and say it's good. I like to get proper real feedback and not just get a bunch of fluff all the time.. - DAvid
Very solid review guys, mahalo 🤙🏽
oh right on!! Thank you glad we redid it..-DAvid
Solid interview
Thank you very much Mark did such an excellent job...stoked we redid it... Our first interview, we were both kind of not feeling it so we ended up redoing it. Glad we did.. - DAvid
Great video! I currently ride a 5’10” seaside 39.4L, a 6’4” S boss 37.7L. Would you recommend the 5’10” or the 6,0 machadocado? I’m 6’4, 190# intermediate surfer
The 510 is V 37.6 & 60 is 40.1....I would say the 60... It's more of a growler so don't go down in volume. Our team rider rode my board and it's a few volumes too big but he said it didn't feel like he's too much on top of the water
I guess because the rails are so pinched.
With that extra volume you'll be able to float through the whitewash super junk days... So might as well make it fun.

Cool interview! Board is super playful.
Thank you!
Good interview. However, the available sizes is too big of a jump in litres between the sizes. Also, the Seaside has very thin tail too but the rails are less refined than the Mavacado and is more forgiving. I haven’t tried it but I think this is not ideal in mushy surf. I think it’s more suited to smaller punchier waves where majority of people are likely to use a dedicated shortboard. I’ll stick with my seaside which is easy to catch small punchy waves and still perform and Dom 2 in slightly bigger punchier waves and a modern mini Simmons for Uber grovelling. I think this won’t sell as much as previous FireWire boards released but you never know. Also, got a Twinzer fin board which personally is the better fin setup as it’s in between a twin and thruster with positive drive and good control. Saying all that, each to their own feelings/thoughts but FireWire should make a twinzer fin type board and market it…an alternative new feel and will be exciting!
Nope
Clear explanations from @mark 😮
Totally agree ! Stoked to be able to have someone that can help me - David
The biscuit
Are you asking if this is similar to the biscuit?
To me no
Maybe the bottom contours
This one have a wider taiI more even distribution of foam
I believe the biscuit has more of a rounded squash, way more thicker under the chest from what I remember .....but it's been a long time since I seen one.
It would be really cool to make a biscuit..we have a many in Hawaii that are short and stocky and that's a perfect board for them.
