Randomly saw a video of yours when i was watching NDYakAngler and thought id check it out... been binge watching your videos for the past two hours😅 the way you explain things is great. Easy to understand even if youre a novice. Youre a hell of teacher, keep up the good work bro
That was a good video. As someone who is pretty good at catching bass, but HORRIBLE at catching trout, I really paid close attention to your tips. What were you using as your rod/ reel combo? I liked the look of that rod.
Thanks pal! Trout are finicky but once you get a good understanding of them, it’s not much different than catching smallmouth bass tbh. The rod is a 6’9 St. Croix trout series rod, 2 piece medium lite action. The reel is a 2000 size shimano vanford. One of my favorite setups I’ve ever owned!
@fishkrazed I read a few comments down and saw you answered that question about the rod earlier (I guess I should have read first, then asked the question😅). Thanks for the reply.... I am starting to make my own inline spinners so maybe I will have better luck this season. If not, there are always bass around 🤣
@@thatsaprettygoodfish6342 there is also another how to video listed in my playlists, where I go more in depth on rod and reel, and places to look for trout if you want to check it out!
@@fishkrazed I will. Thanks for the replies. It is nice when someone with a larger channel takes time to respond to someone whose channel has a fraction of the subs. You just landed a new subscriber here!

FISH BOY!!!! Let’s Gooooooo
🔥🔥🔥
do you need to put weight on the inline spinner on your end of the reel?
You can add weight if you need to, definitely above the spinner about 8-12”. 🤙🏼
Epic
Thanks 🤙🏼🙌🏼
what is your main line and leader line lb?
In this video I was using 8lb pline fluorocarbon for both!
What rod is that?
It’s a St. Croix trout series rod! In the video before this one I go a little more in depth about the rods/reels I use for different applications. 🤙🏼
Where is this?
The Appalachian mountains 🙂
