Andrew, on the cosmetic point, the reason overwatch doesn’t change too much with the skins is because they said they wanted to keep the readability and silhouettes the same. But I definitely think paladins has better cosmetics

Something that I prefer about Paladins over Overwatch is that Paladins has a fantasy asthetic instead of a sci-fi asthetic like Overwatch. It's just personal preference, but it's one of the big selling points for me. Along with Paladins being free-to-play, and the existence of Raeve.

When you said Vivian is forgettable maybe because she was intended to (ironically) xD In the lore, she's known as a loner and strange girl who make friends with her "drones" instead of human, until she got finally recruited by the Magistrate. I forgot but I think in one of her cards it says that she's deeply feeling lonely and the only friends she could make are her drones.

Thats bcoz Overwatch is more inspirated in TF2, where the characters have a high speed acceleration forcing you to move fast to avoid atacks, but you dont have many health.
But Paladins is more a MOBA in 1st person, giving the players more health and less punish for dont move.
Thats why OW its more "stressfull" (and the reason why I main Winston, no aim and a lot of health).

  • @ToxicBearStudios

To add onto the "Team Comp" point - The flexibility that Paladins has is massively attributed to the fact that... Tanks and Healers are just fun to play. You can go into Quick Play and have people actively choose to lock in Healers or Tanks, because every single character is built around feeling good and rewarding. You CAN contribute a tonne to your teams damage. You CAN have more of an impact than simply "healing" or "making space" and that's just at a baseline level - The kits themselves are also far more engaging. Overwatch had to completely remove the major thing that made it so unique because it's infinitely more fun to play ANY of the DPS than it is to play a Tank/Support (Former Dva/Winston main btw), and while the devs are attempting to address this in OW2, I just can't see it working without major changes to half the roster.

    • @doublechindoge7
      @doublechindoge7 2 года назад +2

Big Tank/Support Player in OW here
I can agree on the state of Tanks. Most Tanks _can_ be really fun to play with a functional team behind you, but if you find yourself needing to carry even just a little as a tank you're gonna have to eat every CC in the game as you limp your way onto the objective while getting little to no credit for it. Good news is, in the OW2 beta, it was a completely different story, and I would go as far as to say Tank was the most fun role. (yes, even more fun than DPS)
Supports I _kind of_ disagree on. I think support is actually really fun, the problem is that to this day OW only has 7 supports somehow, when it has 17 DPS characters. I genuinely think all Support needs to be just as fun as DPS is more characters to pick from. The only other issue with supports is when your team doesn't pull their weight, a lot of the time on support you can't really take charge and carry the team yourself like you can with DPS and sometimes Tank - but I struggle to imagine an effective support that could be given the kit to allow them to solo cary without being OP. Some supports are really good at hard-countering certain characters already though, and that's the closest we can get to bekng able to hard carry as support rn, so having a greater variety of counter-picks to be able to switch to would definitely help with that.

Just letting any fan of some English dubbed anime know some of the voice talents who appear in Paladins:
Default Drogoz/Buck's "Buck Wild" skin - Chris Rager, also plays Hercule/Mr. Satan from Drago Ball Z
Default Talus - Erica Mendez, also plays Ryuko Matoi from Kill La Kill & Gon Freecs from Hunter X Hunter
"Invader" Pip, "Wukong" & "Monkey King" Talus, and apparently also default Sha Lin and "L-Exo Suit" Lex - Todd Haberkorn. This guy's in a ton of stuff, but I'll just mention Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tale & Ling Yao from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Default Grover - Christopher Sabat. I mean, it's Christopher Sabat for crying out loud, I don't think I need to elaborate with mentioning any of his other roles. But I will anyway - Vegeta & Picollo from Dragon Ball Z/GT/Kai/Super, Roranoa Zoro from One Piece, All Might from My Hero Academia, Yami Sukihero from Black Clover, Alex Louis Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist, at this point you either know his voice or you don't watch much anime.

I've always hated the health pack system in overwatch. Having to specifically learn where every single pack is located on every single map and then forcing your play style around the packs if you aren't pocketed by a healer instead of choosing your battles and where you want to fight. It makes the expansiveness of the map less interesting/viable and keeps you out of the fight for a longer period (especially for newer players who have to go on an Easter egg hunt for the packs)

The characters you listed aren’t OP, they’re just literally the easiest characters in the game, and if you’re saying Moira and Lucio are defenseless, you should know that they’re the types of healers who almost never die first unless they make a mistake

I also play rainbow, so I like difficult and punishing games, probably because of how rewarding ranking up and getting better is - you don’t get better by looking up the best builds and load outs, you get better by playing the game more and learning as much as you can (map knowledge and character knowledge is important in both, though). I can see if you’re trying to play a more casual/ less punishing game, paladins is way more like that, and the customizability of things keeps the game fresh, and creating your own builds is really fun. Honestly which game you play matters on personal preference on how you like difficulty in games. As for the nerfing of “strong” healers, Moira and brig are actually meant to be “beginner” characters in the game, but blizzard nerfed them because they almost never died in high ranked lobbies/ had ultimates that instantly won team fights. While this fixed competitive games, it messed up newer players who relied on those heroes to play. If you get good at other characters and go back to Moira, you’ll realize it doesn’t actually take a galaxy brain to survive with her, it just takes some time to learn the game and figure out what to watch out for

I'm an OW player and fan who's kinda just waiting on OW2 and just picked up paladins in the last few months and I play casually, so I feel like maybe my opinion is a little unique from the rest of the paladins playerbase.
These are not in order of what you talked about.
    1. I'd like to argue that the skins in paladins are "too creative" for a moment. Yes in overwatch the skins often look like the character is wearing another outfit or costume but the basis of what the character is never changes. I believe that is a good thing and not only that it's on purpose.
It's for the identifiability of each character.
Conversely, As a newer player in paladins I truly struggle to identify all the characters, especially when most all have skins that change their look so drastically. Example, the new "ripjaw" (I think that's it's name) skin for Buck.
I literally thought it was a new character when I saw it.
Yes, it's a beautiful skin, but if I hadn't found out it was a skin I'd have no idea that was a character already in the game if I had encountered them in game.
This is only hurt further that when I look at both teams loadouts mid-Match, it only shows the player name and the nicknames the game provides.
The roster is big and I'm only a few months in and only have a few characters names committed to memory. If the character name was on the mid-Match loadout screen this may help but it may not be as necessary if the skins didn't drastically change the look and silhouette of each character.
    2. However I agree 1000% on most of your points on customization. Paladins has a lot of systems (sometimes done poorly or feel incomplete but still) that I love.
Talents, loadouts, and items all add something really special to each character.
Probably a main reason I continue to play.
I find it amazing to see what this "overwatch clone" has become.

If you take some time to learn the game, the ttk increases a lot because you get better at health and recourse management, working with your healers/tanks, and learn where to go/when to peek depending on the map and enemy team comp and play style. The game is toxic to new players tho, which sucks because back when the game was first released, everyone died fast because they didn’t know what they were doing, so it sucks that people are toxic to people that are just trying to learn.

You didn’t mention that, in overwatch, there is a gold version of every weapon from each skin, with no exceptions. That means when you do get gold for a character, you literally double the amount of different weapons you can use for that character. Also, OW cosmetics focus on the guns, as that’s the biggest thing in the screen and right next to your focus at all times, so they put most of their effort into weapon design and animations. So, the golden guns look unique and amazing for every weapon for nearly every skin (some are ugly or don’t do much). I got tracer gold when I played OW, and basically got over 15 new weapons instantly. Meanwhile, in paladins, you just get one weapon and sometimes a skin. So, I personally like the way OW handles golden stuff. I watched your overwatch videos, but I don’t think you ever got a gold skin, so I’m just letting you know that exists. Great video tho!

If you invested more time in the game you would know why that's the case in ow, some abilities have a higher power level for some heroes such as ana for ex, her abilities can be game changing but require timing and skill and very hard to use but they are on high cooldowns, so if you added a third ability it would completely mess up the balance state of the hero, and same thing can be said for heroes who have 3 abilities such as brigitte her abilities are on low cooldown and not nearly as game changing as anas, so you see, they need a third ability to match the power level of the heroes that have only two. In OW, there’s characters like Lucio who do stuff like speed boost, and the correct play to make when a teammate is low is to speed them out of combat to a health pack or another healer. So, he doesn’t do much damage or healing, but he moves people around the map and speeds characters like Reinhardt, who has a short damage range but deals huge damage, into combat. So, lucios don’t get high stats, but they’re extremely important in certain situations. Stats don’t matter as much in OW bc of this, as it’s more complicated than “who shot the enemy more” or “who healed more”

I definitely agree that Paladins characters are more unique and interesting, but I don’t think this is really a good category to compare, because the story/theme of the two games is really different. Paladins is set in a fantasy world, so they can literally come up with any peculiar or strange character and it can fit in the game, whereas Overwatch is set a few decades in the future of the Earth, so their options are quite limited with the characters, and they can mostly just go the generic sci-fi direction. In my opinion, Overwatch has done quite a good job on the characters with the restrictions it has in terms of character design and the story genre that it fits in. If you compare it to other shooter games with a similar setting, the characters are definitely much better in Overwatch imo. The way Paladins and Overwatch present these characters to their audience is also quite different. Overwatch has the playerbase interact with characters in a way where they feel emotional connections to the characters, while Paladins likes to show all the interesting quirks and storylines of characters, and this is also the result of the differences in the games’ settings, since this is what the games’ settings allows them to do best with their characters and storylines. I’m not saying that Overwatch has no interesting storylines or that Paladins can’t build a connection between the players and the characters, it’s just what the games do better out of those 2 things.

the level up system in paladins, the way you can decide your own playstyle (cassidy just exists as a counter to pharah, pharah just exists as a counter to reaper, reaper exists as a counter to roadhog, roadhog as a counter to tracer and so on. meanwhile in paladins you can play as a damage healer like with damba, you can turn an off tank into a point tank like azaan or smth idk i dont play tank, you can play as a support dps like octavia and the list goes on),the item shop, the character consistency (every champ has 1 fire and 3 abilities and an ult, meanwhile in ow some characters have a fire and 2 abilities but others have 1 fire and 3 abilities plus 5 passives or smth), the overall creativity in the characters and the fact that you cant change heroes (because if you can change heroes itll just be you picking a certain counter then the enemy picking a counter then you picking a counter and then the enemy and so on) are all things i think paladins does better. plus its free... need i say more

there's a lot of interesting tech in overwatch you can learn too if you delve into the game :) and for the autoaim point, it could really go either way. the two autoaim examples you brought up are ultimates while lians are on cooldowns which can be reduced with loadouts and items, so lians can be used much more often, while s76 and mcree have to farm their ult to use it. tactical visor is one of the lower value ultimates and deadeye is difficult to pull off without dying to the point that some higher ranked players use it and cancel it as a quick reload. I do agree with the point about team comp because in paladins the player really is rewarded to learn champions from multiple roles and the availability of healing to every character definitely makes them feel more flexible to play. I disagree with some of your points and agree with others but it is nice to hear your perspective on this comparison! I do feel like there's implicit unavoidable bias of course due to the much lesser time you've spent on ow (Im assuming)

Among the many issues in OW (like CC abundance and overturned characters), OW also sucks for new players right now, bc lots of smurfs (high ranked players on new accounts) and hackers ruin lower level games. However, if you get past that and start to take time to really learn the game, you’ll realize a lot of subtle map, character, and game design aspects of OW that are not present in paladins.
One is that horses aren’t in OW because respawns and timers are synonymous with map and character design, as some characters get to point faster than others, making that an actual weakness on some maps that have longer paths to objective, but those characters that take longer to get there have other map advantages, such as better corners to set up on or better high ground that can’t be used by characters that get to point faster. So, every character is balanced but extremely different, and different maps make you play totally different ways. This is all ignoring team comps and many other things as well, but it makes for some really interesting games as you get better.

In terms of characters... well I hope this doesn't dwindle into a political debate, but...
I like how Hi-Rez and Paladins practically don't give an effin' thing about being relatable as opposed to Blizzard and Overwatch trying to ensure things are relatable. Like in Paladins, you don't have to be a draconic thing to enjoy playing as Drogoz, or you don't have to be an evil marauding demon to enjoy playing as Raum. (There are few exceptions in Overwatch like Winston, Bastion, Wrecking Ball, but as you mentioned in the video, a lot of the characters are human so it would gain points for relatability based on their nationality or their spectrum, like Symmetra with autistic people)
I also like how Hi-Rez absolutely does not touch on the orientation of the characters. Even if I'm fine if some characters turn out to be gay, the fact that orientation is something never touched at all means that they avoid the pandering bullet. Which is honestly fine. (for instance, I don't have qualms with Soldier: 76 or Tracer being gay, but the way they reveal themselves seem to be because Blizzard want to pander on the gay crowd or do some damage control based on the controversy happening at that time)
More power to you if you think relatability or orientation play a very important part in liking a character, but that's just how I think.
EDIT: Okay, I just found out that both Fernando and Saati are supposed to be gay and lesbian respectively. But I'm pretty sure those reveals aren't about saving faces or pure 'relatability' factor.

    • @shareenear9344
      @shareenear9344 Год назад +1

Yes, damnit, finally someone who gets it. Unlike Blizzard, Hi-Rez make gay characters *authentically.* Like, for Saati it just makes sense, c'mon, look at her and at her teaser. And with Fernando it's kinda even poetic: he's the last champ one would suspect to be gay, but him acting all straight and hitting on female characters is just a disguise - he literally pretends to be a person who actually died. In Overwatch, it doesn't make sense, it doesn't fit into the characters' lore or complete them in any way, it doesn't affect anything, it's there for no reason other than just to be there. Just so Blizzard can act all like "Look how tolerant we are 🤡" Yeah, cut the crap.
And even with that, Hi-Rez succeed in making some champs relatable. Take even Drogoz; indeed, you don't have to be a lizardman to like him, but then he also was born without wings which technically makes him disabled; as for me, though, I just love dragons and find Drogoz adorable ☺ On top of having been a Pharah main back when I played Overwatch, that is.

Something I think paladins also does better than overwatch is listening to their community, and the AoC (assembly of champions) is a good example of that.
The members of the AoC are content creators chosen by the paladins community who will meet with the developers to discuss what the community wants for the game: changes, reworks, improvements. N°5 : While I do agree that the skins are more original on Paladins and that the customization of the skins is better, in terms of actual design and details and everything, Overwatch has the better skins. They're less original and out there but the skins have so much depth and so many details, many of these skins are also lore skins. But yeah Overwatch is more "serious", no matter the skin everyone must be able to identify the hero immediately, hence why there's no voice pack or different animations (Mercy is the only one that has a skin with different sound effects I believe and it's very minimal). The one thing that Overwatch definitely does better than Paladins on skins though, is the availability. It feels just so hard to get any skin with Paladin because they're all locked behind some kind of chest or whatever. In Overwatch you can just buy the skins, the events ones are a bit more expensive but you get a lot of gold just by playing and, except for Pink Mercy and OWL specials, you can buy all the skins when the event comes back the year after or during anniversary. Paladins skins are a lot harder to get after their initial release, or at least that's how I feel. As for mounts, it just simply is not something doable in Overwatch and it would harm the game, it's not designed like that and the breaks during fights are very important.
N°4 : Yeah when they decided to lock roles it was when the game really take a turn for the worse IMO. But hey, DPS complained enough so they got what they wanted in OW2, guess it pays off to whine non stop. As for the Ban system, it should really never be added to Overwatch. First, there's half the heroes in OW as there are in Paladins, second you have no kit custom, you have to switch, so banning heroes is a big no no. Another thing is, since Blizzard is so bad at balancing the game, or at least they take so long, that would mean that some heroes would be perma ban for probably more than a year. Take Mercy during Moth meta, that thing lasted for 18 months. Sure with a ban system it would not have existed but she also would not have been available for 18 months in rank. Same things with Rein who is often a must pick, not because he's busted, but because there's literally no other tank that can do what he does. That's one thing that I would add on the Paladins side : the metas don't seem to be nearly as stagnant as Overwatch and the devs don't seem to be too stubborn to change problematic designs and instead change the way the game is played completely to "fix things" and end up not fixing anything.
N°3: While I do personnally agree with showing more stats, I have to say I do not want Overwatch do that, I would even like them to remove the medals. The community is just so toxic that they use every single thing to harrass you no matter your level. There's also the fact that the roles in Overwatch are a lot more intricate than in Paladin, there are 3 categories but in reality in the Support role alone, Mercy should either have max healing if she's main heal or max damage boost if she's off heal, Moira should have max heal and a lot of damage, Lucio should have little heal but tons of assists etc. People are such hypocrits that they'll just overlook that and tell you that your Lucio did no healing and that's why you lost even though he's not supposed to, or your Widow has little damage even though she has tons of solo elim which is what matters on her etc. That's what's happening with the medals already. As for the infos, yeah it makes no sense that there's no detailed info in game, that's just weird.
N°2: That's kinda what I said above. Overwatch is "realistic", as in these characters could really exist in the future, the dragons and stuff are for skins only. That's Overwatch being more serious, it's really a personnal preference thing. As for hero design, once again Overwatch is a lot more realistic, almost every ability is something that could exist for real, it has explanations and everything, but in terms of complexity I'd say both game are equal. Your example for Pharah and Droggoz is good, but you can also find examples for the opposite like Treeman and Lucio: Lucio's kit is by far more fun, complex, and interesting. As for autoaim, while I once again do agree, on Overwatch these are ults while Lian is an ability, meaning it will be used a lot more. Besides McCree's ult is often used as a quick reload because it is honestly pretty bad.
N°1: eeeeeh i really agree with this point especially now with the role lock. One thing though "Grokh's ult is like Zen's ult if it were cooler and more useful" --> literally the best ult in Overwatch but okay :')

Ok I did not just hear you say overwatch is more intricate than paladins did I? Overwatch, without a doubt, is way shallower than paladins, and whilst paladins in comparison to a lot of other games doesn’t go that in depth with card and loadouts it’s certainly infinitely more intricate than overwatch
You know about the card and load out system right? It’s what turns Raum, the minigun wielding off tank into a weird healer, Grohk, the lightning orc shaped support into an incredible damage dealer and Cassie, the mid long range crossbow DPS into an agile close range assassin, and you’re gonna tell me that overwatch with slight variations in how you can play each character, like running mercy as an off healer damage booster, is “more intricate” than paladins? Excuse me whilst I turn my healer pip into a backline flanker and my Flanker Buck into a point tank…I’m done now, now tell me how running lucio as a meme damage dealer is more interesting than anything paladins does
If I misunderstood something I apologise but paladins gets by with just Credits Earned, Objective time, K/D/A, Damage done, Shielding done and Healing done and no one questions it when Skye (Flanker) heals more than Grohk (Healer)

@@f.b.iagent3971 I did not say that. The only thing that I said that could be interpreted like that is my comment about Grover and Lucio but that was not really what I said, it was more : for two characters that are quite similar, some are better in Paladins and some are better in Overwatch. Lucio has the better kit and in this particular case I do believe that his kit is by far more complex and diverse than Grover's even with the card system (since Lucio can do so many things), but Droggoz, without the cards, is already better than Pharah. I agree with everything except the characters part. The designs of the characters in Overwatch are the way they are due to lore and world building.
As for the autoaim thing you mentioned, those are ultimates. You won't use them as much. Now if you mentioned Winston or Moira? I'll bite. But those Ultimates are no more devastating than Lex, or being eaten by Yagorath.
What I WILL give Paladins a leg up on vs Overwatch, is the characters having similar weapons. If I want to use an Assault rifle, I can pick Viktor, Tyra, Vivian or even Khan. In Overwatch? ONLY Soldier 76! Revolver? Androxus or Lex. Overwatch? Only McCree. I don't get the benefit of using that weapon with a different kit.

    @thearoy3338 3 года назад +1

Overwatch Player here: I actually think this is a very nice non-biased analysis on what paladins does better, but here's a few post thoughts that I have
For number 5, I can fully admit that the cosmetics in paladins are more dramatic and out there, but for Overwatch, it's important to note a few things: The skins in overwatch (in my opinion) do a better job of committing to avoiding gameplay advantages/disadvantages. For example, some skins in paladins drastically change the effects on a weapon so badly that people would opt to change it out. Of course, this comes with another benefit of paladins with more customization, but there is the issue that the skins even hinder the player to begin with. The skins in overwatch also do look more like costumes because... they kind of are? Some skins focus on lore, and some skins are hinted at/talked about through interactions. I think the main point was to keep the general idea of the character the same, making it fundamentally different from what paladins is going for. Finally, the overwatch skins are a LOT more accessible, and for many are a goal to collect during events and such (something I think paladins could work on.) This is of course because paladins doesn't cost money, meaning they need to monetize something, but that doesn't change that Overwatch does have a consistent amount of skins for each character, all that you can unlock for free.
For number 4, it's an interesting topic. For one I do see how the team comps and queues can be a bit annoying especially for dps but here's some things to note: It was VERY annoying trying to play such a team oriented game where you can get obliterated before you even realize it when there were simply teams with no shields. The combat between overwatch and paladins (specifically the ttk) are drastically different, meaning you really couldn't get away with a 4 dps 2 healer team like you can in paladins. Back when I used to play paladins over overwatch, I remember the most aggravating thing was when your team would skip out on an important role like frontline or healer, and you were forced into a team battle without them because you can't switch (not that paladins needs to add a switching mechanic.) To address the queue times, from what I have seen you mostly played characters per video, meaning you weren't playing much flex. By flexing, you can get priority passes so that you can effectively half the queue times on dps. When queueing for flex, healer, and tank, the queue times are also less than a minute, but I can fully agree that DPS queue times are a dread and are mostly the reason I avoid the role.
For number 3, I have nothing to say. I do like the career profile, but it's undeniable that the stats paladins provides are infinitely more useful than a few meaningless medals.
Number 2 is of course a messy topic. On one hand, the actual gameplay is a bit different so I don't want to focus too much on the skills. In the world that overwatch has built, it doesn't really make sense for fairies and dragons and such to exist because there's simply no magic or anything of the sort. Overwatch focuses on a more scientific world where there are really just humans, omnics (the robot guys), and of course the genetically modified animals. That being said, I do think the character designs of paladins are a lot more intriguing and unique especially for a team shooter game, but in the context of overwatch and its lore, I think those characters are more fleshed out. As for the autoaim argument, I don't really think Soldier and Mccree are an issue. For starters, those are both ults, meaning they're not something able to be commonly used. On top of this, those ults are actually considered some of the lower tier ults in the game, with soldier being the considered the worst (and is the reason he gets little play at a high level.) Soldier's ult makes it to where he can't get headshots, meaning he drops dps and can even lose to another soldier without their ult, and mccree gives enough time for the entire team to move. At the highest level, high noon is used as a mere zoning tool or even a 2nd instant reload ability like his combat roll. The auto target is a pretty small aspect of overwatch that isn't too big of an issue (excluding maybe moira who has very mediocre dps) Either way both games have great and super cool characters.
For number 1, there's simply no debate. The customization with cards and talents and such are simply better in paladins and I have nothing more to say about it. I've preached for a long time that mechanically the idea of customizable abilities and talents are something overwatch should take inspiration from paladins on. They are actually going this route for the pve in overwatch 2, but I don't think they'll be adding it to the pvp aspect. (fingers crossed)
All in all, great video :)

In terms of number 1, it is straight up the reason I refuse to try paladins, I dont find that level of customization to be even slightly enjoyable. It adds to much variability to the game play. Character x should always have character x's set abilities and character y theirs. I dont want to have to guess whether character x has their set abilities or some other random abilities. Also having item shops contributes to snowballing which is just completely unenjoyable for both teams.

Something extra to add are the loot boxes
I must clarify that I am not a fan of loots boxes in games because it is frustrating to spend your money on a box where you cannot choose what you are going to get (you can get what you wanted on the first throw or spend all your money in that chest and not having obtained anything of your interest)
but at least one good thing that Paladins boxes have over Overwatch ones is that they can't touch you repeatedly, you can't get an item that you already have.
I've seen Overwatch RUclipsrs (who should already have 80% cosmetics in the game) make "opening +50 chests" videos at new events. And maybe at chest # 42 is that they finally get one of the new skins of the event because the previous 41 boxes only obtained objects that they already had.
And the worst thing is that if you get a repeat, the game makes up for it by giving you coins that are not worth half of what the skin / pose / play of the game cinematic, etc ...

I feel like the freedom to form team comps without balancing for roles is a detriment more often than it is a benefit, I really liked paladins' gameplay but wanting to play dps and almost never having people willing to play tanks and supports was what made me quit the game. Yeah queue times in Overwatch suck but at least the match will feel competitive rather than just a curbstomp because we have 5 DPS.
Even in QP classic it feels better because you can change your character at any point in the match, often people will get tired of being destroyed and will actually switch to something useful.
Other than that I agree with your points, great video!

    3) Biggest thing imo is the death recap which is imo massive thing that i would like to see in OW
    2) I have always had a much bigger issue with auto aim in paladins. (well mostly) because of the fact that in OW they are easier to shut down and are ults you know? where as lian is like oh in a duel im just half HP before itt even starts because she has auto aim always.
    1) Imo both have an advantage so in a competitive play i like to know what the enemies are capable of where has more variability like you said meaning in casual game play is imo better.

While I do understand your point and i totally agreed with #1, saying that you can only play one way in OW is just something a low level player would say haha no offense, we alll were noobs a some point! But OW is a good example of an "easy game to play but a damn hard af game to master". The fastest example is Reinhardt, in low level all you do is put your shield and press W, at mid-higher levels YOU are the team captain, you are setting the pacing of the game, you are playing those "mind games" with the enemy.. That's the whole meme in OW "MAIN tank difference" . Or something like Mercy "the easiest character in OW" where you are only pressing left click , not even aiming and walking like a brain dead bot, maybe a low-mid level player, because a higher level is tracking every single ability the enemy has and flying all around the map without touching the ground of dying not even one time. Yes, in OW everyone has the same kit but you have a lot of "micro-decisions" to take, it's something like 1 sec to choose ONE option out of 20 possible thing to do, and only one is the correct anwser, the other options will kill you and your team will lose the team fight. It's really hard tbh, this is why Competitive sucks in OW

Overall, I think this video was pretty well handled in terms of bias. Of course, I disagree with a few things most notably the character switching aspect. If you are drogoz for example, going up against lian on an open map, you can hardly reach her she AUTO AIMS and your team will basically be fighting a 4v5. In a world where you can counterpick by playing someone else, that seems much more exciting as it encourages changing up your comp to try and win the fight. My opinion obviously, but I feel that would only help the game instead of relying on most of the time luck to win a bad matchup. Yes, skill is involved but if you have an equal skill drogoz and lian against eachother, the lian will most definitely win.

on the stat point, well i think paladins does good at showing the board except for 1 thing: dmg taken during match, which is important to the tank (because champion like Terminus, Inara doesnt have shield to show how much they try to survive, or how much dmg they were received)
also, with the death cap, well i think due to the lack of space, but this will miss one or two enemies if u get kill by 4 or more

I love both games, but something I don’t like about Overwatch, is how much ultimates affect the game. Like if half the heroes ult, your reaction should just be to run or put up a shield, hoping it lasts (unless it’s Hanzo’s ult, then you just run)

I’m a fan of both games and just want to say something real quick about the gold skins in overwatch. There are gold skins in overwatch in the form of the seoul dynasty overwatch league skin. Even though in normal situations you need to pay 5 bucks for each skin they still look amazing and defently deserve it.
