RARE ANTIQUE 6HP John Deere HIT MISS engine REVIVAL

What a BRUTE! this is a really nice original paint 6hp John Deere my friend David picked up a month or so ago and we wanted to get it running. Someone swapped the original low tension magneto and ignitor for a high tension magneto and spark plug. through some clever red neck engineering and a little welding we manage to make it back to the way it was 100 years ago! hope you enjoy!

Gotta preface this with I don't know anything about old engines and how they work. But, when Jay Leno hand cranks his old cars he tucks his thumb in a certain way so it doesn't get broken if there is kickback or something. You guys might want to look this up? IDK

yes and no. with the way the crank is made on these engines it cant really cause the same problems as one for a car. it is good practice on tractors and cars though!
