- I got my hands on this little beauty and let me tell you it's pretty much the favorite small engine I now own. It's really damn cool. The way it blows the little smoke rings and the way it sounds and smells, you have to own one.

It's a beautiful engine, the base mod is perfect. I replaced all the pipes with copper pipe, and propper brass fittings to get rid of the ugly blue Pne fittings. The engine as supplied is great, but modification is the fun of the engine. Great Video AJ :)
Neat little machine! Nice job on the box to hide all the components, it looks great!
I'm glad you like it!
I'm glad you changed the base for the engine it looked messy with all the leads showing the only thing I'd change would be USB charging for the batteries still excellent little project
I agree its much better with all the wires tucked away.

I'll bet that unit would be a treat in a house with tall ceilings and still air! That's a nice alternative for those without the space nor funds to keep the full sized engines.
Yes and these mill engines are really hard to find, and transport.
But it cant do a single job of work.
@@thra5herxb12snobody uses engines for work anyway, the electric motor is far superior, but we enjoy looking at these engines
@@thra5herxb12s It's a model!
Where can I even get one of those?

@AJRestoration, I'm interested in buying this engine! What is the diameter of this engine flywheel? Thanks.
Ill get back to you, sorry I missed your comment.
Nice little engine. I really like the box you made to keep all the ignition parts in order.
Glad you like it, the box does look better.
Do these engines make any usable power, could they be use to light a tent, or charge batteries? Id like to build my own from scratch around 4-5 litres. Operating at 40-50 RPM to 500-600(+/-) with two cylinders in a boxer style engine. Rocking a 8" bore(6" at least) with a 12"-16" stroke. With the #2 cylinder being two cycles behind, #1 intake , when the piston is compressed, and fires #2 starts intake as both pistons are moving down. Make the crank from pieces heat shrank together and pinned or welded. Use three 20" long bits of 3" square bar hand forged if required to make a 4" wide 2" thick throw for the crank, with a 6" wide x 2" thick counter weight on the end with a hole on center made by drift, without removing material. Making a roughly 1.875-1.900" hole, with another 12"-16" at the end. With the hole starting about 1.5" from the end make a set of 15"-18" rods similarly, from 1" plate. with a .875"-
.900" hole at the opposite end. Mill
.120" from the center of each side leaving .300" minimum on tge edges. Cut the cap off drill for 3/8"-7/16" threads and a dowel using rod bolts . Maybe leaving room on the ends outside the bolt for 1/8" dowels .700" long with .300 to fit in tfe cap. The rods holding 1" wide bearings close to 2" diameter.with the main bearings being the same size. Using a oil pump to send oil from the main bearings to the rod bearings. Through the rod to the pin bushing. Squirting the piston cooling it and oiling the rings. a roughly .030"-
.035" hole in the top of the rod squirting oil. With a brass bushing around 1.25" diameter, with a bushing in the piston and the rod. With the bushings swedged in place and honed to size. A 1/16" hole drilled through the rod. The rod journals interference fitted with .005" pressed on hot with the journal cold then 3 1/4" holes drilled and tapped, in the seam area, and
.750" grub screws tq.ed in place. At 120° around the rod journal. Then a 5/8" hole drilled through the rod journals. With a 3/16" hole drilled 1/8" from the center hole at a angle to start breaking throttle the center of the bearing , drill a 1/8" hole .250" deep eith the hole ending up about .220" chamfered. The hole in the end of the journal having a fitting sized steel brake line braised / silver soldered to it. With the tube going into the main journal with similar oil passages. With a
.030" deep x .120" wide groove in it with .003" clearance with a .100" thick pair of brass washers between the main cap and crank. One with about 100 .030" holes connected by a .040" x .040" groove. To allow oil between the washers. acting as thrust bearings. And helping seal the oil in the bearing (or controlling the leak) with another holy washer and a .250" thickwashr. That has .003"-.004" clearance, and two m5 bolts holding it to the outside of the main. With the holy washer between it and the bolt retained washer. the bolts only keep it in place with one bolt in the cap one in the web/Sattle. It being
.750" thick fron the opening to the edge. Wirh the holes in the edge .300" on center from the edge. Working to control the oil preventing the seal from leaking. Using a chevy v8 oil pump running at about 8:1 under drive. With a remote oil filter. Only bypass in emergency. With a over under pressure switch. With the cylinders bolting on the crank case. With the crank case being 1.135" thick in the important areas, joined with webbed .250"-.380" walls. The outside having the webbing, the inside smooth. With a bolt on sump. And a split case. The bottom looking like a engine unpside down. With the cover off. The cover bolting on at the cylinders then a flat cover seals the crank on both ends . The cover made from .300" thick webbed aluminum, like two u shapes turned 90° and put together. Leaving room for the crank in the middle. Then end plates closing the area around the crank. End plates .300" thick x 1" wide with dowels and.1/4" bolts with 1/8" webbing meeting at a 1" thick circle where the crank goes , it is boreed out, for the crank, then milled for the seal. The 1/4" bolt holes recessed to allow a bracket to nolt on to run accessories. The 12" x 4" thick flywheel, machined to allow a SBC flywheel to bolt on and use a chevy starter. Cast either iron cylinders or aluminum cylinders with a iron sleeve. With an aluminum head with 15" head studs 6-8 per cylinder. Eith four 1/4" bolts per cylinder also holding the cylinder to the crank case. The crank case can use a bore from around 4.500" ? to 10"+ (11.375" +/-) the small bore may require a crosd slide piston
Very nice engine.. Thx for sharing A.J.
Thanks for watching!
Nice little project kit. 👍
It sure is, I had a bunch of fun with it!
One ice cube keeps her cool for a while 😂
A really long while haha.
That is neat! How many horse power does it produce?

What component is actually doing the loud clacking noise?
That is the cam actuating on the small roller bearings on the valve rockers, the cam has a agressive pitch causing the clacking noise.
Great engine and great sound , almost like a Lanz Bulldog !
What is purpose of shis electicity because diesel dont need sparkplug???
This is not the diesel version, this one uses gasoline, hence the sparkplug.
That's cool!
Firing order of a small block engine
Very nice
Thanks buddy!
Is the piston water cooled. Is that what the metal hose on the bottom is for and the top one feeds back to the water holder at the back?
Yes the piston is water cooled. It has a small water pump for the coolant
Absolutely beautiful.
I don't know why, but the Chinese have a nasty habit of fitting things the wrong way round!
In this case the engines Flywheel.
If you look at the curved spokes of Any stationary engine, like the Blackstones for example- the curved spokes of the flywheel ALWAYS are fitted so the spokes chop into the air the opposite way round!
Amazing little invention. I'm not sure how you could put it to use but it does make pretty smoke rings! 😂
It seems you can make a little generator from it, other that that its purely a toy. I love the smoke rings haha.
Does it have enough power to drive a mini pump jack?
Really ought to re-do the connections to the switch - without the wires being looped through the hole in the tabs, the vibration from the engine will likely cause the solder joint to eventually break.
What is it power?
Your videos integrate ASMR into them. Enjoy it.
That's the plan! Glad you enjoy it!
Look at the wobble on that thing @ 12:01
Too beautiful really....
Thank you very much!
Great 👍👍
Thank you 👍
Loveee it 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
Looks like the flywheel has a little runout. Otherwise nice.
Where can I get one in kit form?. Brian.
Sadly they dot sell it in kit form yet but here is the link to pre built.

unboxing vids are such garbage, If you want to show off a model; the contents of the box, JUST GET ON WITH IT!! Who really cares about the way something is packaged and unpackaged.
It is a way of showing people what to expect when buying this model. It is part of the experience.
were can i buy one
So how does it work?
Seriously. I don't see a source of heat as you would for, say, a classic Wilesco steam engine. But it seems to be putting out steam.
Its just an engine. Works like any other engine
@@dietznutz1 So it is an internal combustion engine running on what? Gasoline? Alcohol?
@frederickwilt5541 petrol with two stroke oil, it's just a different shape than other more conventional engines
Oh look a sharp knife and a box full of packing
Looks a stylish and interesting engine at first glance, but the cross axis gears are out of line and the flywheel is either loose or poorly machined.
Sounds like it's running pretty good but what's causing the the big wheel wobble is it a bad casting or is it a bent crankshaft
The flywheel is not perfectly balanced.
@@AJRestorationc'est pas une question d'équilibrage ! 😅
Seriously!@@AJRestoration
Looks like the contents of the shipping box settled. Kinda like potato chips. For the minor assembly required, it could hardly be called a kit.
Drop a proper pulley on it and drive a lineshaft of pulleys, to power Wilesco stationery mechanical candy. Sawing wood mobile, pumping well water mechanical all minds of fun stuff.
Wilesco model steam.
Engine price kya hai
Cute, but $700??!!
deserves to be rebuilt tho. Some of the factory workers were actually really in lack of attention. even those pipings aren't lined up
Seems to run pretty good but I would never accept a cast wheel that is crooked and wobbling like that. Totally unacceptable. Looks like whoever milled it was drunk as a skunk
Lots of room for improvement that flywheel would be on my lathe immediately and some work on the wiring layout and coolant lines.
If I had a lathe I would also give it some love.
I've just looked at the price of these models, and that's expensive it only cost me £180.00 for a real one that's roughly 240 us dollars
Where I am from the real thing roughly costs 2600 US dollars. Its really damn expensive, that is IF you can find one for sale.
@AJRestoration Yes, I had to look around to find one, and it did take a long time, but it was well worth the wait, especially for that price, I dropped lucky I was a bit miffed about two years ago when I found out that one of my neighbours had taken 3 stationery engine's to the scrap yard just a few day's before I had spoke to him and all of them were in working order what a great shame
Hey! Where’d you find your real one?
@AnthonyHolloway-o4d I found it at a place called fergi Land. I actually went there to get a cylinder head for a tea 20 Ferguson tractor and just happened to see it and ask if it was for sale and it was it needed work to get running if memory serves me i think i paid £180. for it
Lot of mechanical noise, is it the water pump ?
O ja! Dat is handig als de elektriciteit in jou land kapot is
Absoluut!

Spend $650 and get a wobbly flywheel and agressive cams that make a horrible noise - I don't think so!
I think it sounds fine but I can agree that it is really expensive.
Batteries? No!
Too much aluminum.
