Thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play. Please please do a reaction video to Voice Plays cover of Hell Fire. It is from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It is a very dark song & as usual Geoff played the evil villain. His acting skills are amazing. Just wait till you hear him at the end. He is finally & long overdue I may add showing us his full vocal range. He is a force to be reckoned with.
hey have been asked to perform at the Chicago concert in New Jersey this month. Voiceplay is so tight and talented the listener can often forget there are NO instruments and it is all their voices. Nice reaction You get it
Voiceplay is the best, hands down!
Geoff, Eli, and Layne have been singing together since 2012, Geoff and Layne since 1997 (professionally), since middle and high school before that. Cesar joined them in 2021.
They each record in their home studios, send it back to the arranger (Geoff in this case). He edits it, does the first mix, sends it to Ed Boyer for final mix, and then they record the video, singing along to the audio recording.
Between Creep and Hellfire, they did Drunken Sailor. You gotta react to it, you will bust a gut laughing. Watch to the end, it ain't always over when you think it is.
🥃 in that fabulous jar 😉. They are insanely talented. Very old Irish folk song - covered by everyone and their dog, but they still made it their own. A capella greatness.

This is a very old Irish song from 1600s. My great-uncle George (Irishman) sang this to me when I was little. I think now that Uncle George was trying to get my dad to pour him a whiskey.

This arrangement is subtly complex. The intricacies are so interwoven that you don't notice.
All of VoicePlay's arrangements are usually done by Geoff or Layne. The lighting, production and everything except for the videographer and mix engineer are their multi-talented selves.
They do their own mixing but send the final mixing to be polished up by Ed Boyer their sound engineer. Same guy that does the mixing for Pentatonix & Home Free as well as many other acapella groups.
