I would add to neurodiversity, ASD and sensory integration difficulties. If that is the case then pushing the child to go into school can unfortunately lead to burnout, it’s different to anxiety where they can almost talk themselves out of it. I’m saying this as someone who deals with so many burntout teenagers whose mental health is awful and they end up unable to leave the house at all. And sadly my own child in junior school and two of his friends who are unable to go to school and we have to look at alternatives, if the support they get in school isn’t enough.

My 16 year old refuses to do school work and is failing. She is not happy. She lives with her grandparents. She has no disability

The school should change the way they teach. It is boring as hell. Make it more fun, they are still children not an adults, not a solders to follow stupid rules. Make it more fun and any kid will love going to school.

We are arrogant to not listen to our youth! School use to be an outlet, but the current times, they can research anything at anytime to gain information on intrest! This is the bi product of technology! Schools are way underfunded and behind technology growth, and kids are bored!!! AND MOST TEACHERS ARE UNDER THERE OWN FINANCIALLY BURDENS! HOW CAN A 4TH GRADE TEACHER COMPETE WITH VR SYSTEMS ,INTERNET, AND ANYTHING AT YOUR WANT ! AND MAKE MATH EXCITING 😢😢😢😢
