What an awesome adventure man and you did an amazing job filming it! Can't wait for the next trip!
Thanks brother 👊
Absolutely love the Gladiator Footage!
Looking forward to watching both channels videos. I am sure you guys have two different perspectives.
Instablaster...
Your vids are Oscar worthy. It's refreshing to watch an offroad vid that isn't a bunch of shake cam and useless jargon. Great work.
Brad was right. The video and audio editing is second to none! I've seen quite a few of your videos previously, but this one is next level. I immediately subbed and have my fingers crossed you take some more overlanding trips! Your story telling is right on par with Kevin at Lifestyle Overland. Thanks for the hard work of making a great video.
Thanks man! I appreciate the giant compliment 🤘
It's great to see two RUclips heavyweights out on the trails together. Stay humble brother. You have a great channel.
Thank you buddy 👊 I'm honored to be able to hang out with a certified bad ass like brad!
Mark, are you saying they're fat?😅😂🤣
@@OldGriz708 LOL
Your cinematography and editing skills are growing so fast! That "I'm gonna fly!" as your wheel came up was cool as hell. Agree with others, about John Muir. I wish everyone would read his works. Anymore, I just wish everyone would read.
Thank you! I'm glad someone noticed that detail lol
BREATHTAKING BEAUTY COLORS SCENERY VIEWS VIDEO ! THE HISTORY IS AMAZING TO HEAR & SEE ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! THANK YOU ! ENJOYED !
Looked fantastic thanks for letting us tag along 👍🍻
Thanks!
Most amazing trip ever. Every overlanders dream. Men are just like kids. We wana just explore, find cool stuff, go awesome places with good people...
Lol yes we are! Thanks for watching buddy 🤘
I’ve been watching since Nate was still a plumber. This video solidified his RUclips status. One of the best!
Thanks for hanging In there with us!
Little suggestion, get yourself a backpacking foldable or slidable fishing pole. It can be folded down to under a foot and super easy to pack. That way you can have on you all the time. 👍
Nate , i love your videos and the cooperation with Trail recon is wonderful - Thanks
Some of the best videography ive seen in awhile. Good to see people appreciating this great country of ours the beautiful US of A
Thanks for sharing your trip. I had a ‘01 Disco that had 215,000 on it when an idiot pulled in front of me, totaling her out. I loved that car and miss it every day. We didn’t hit anything like you were tackling in this vid, but she definitely had scuffs of memories from our trips. Keep up your great posts.
The editing and time that you put in this video shows. Immaculate scenery and cinematic shots. I’m thoroughly blown away. Great job
Great video again Nate please keep them coming . You were definitely in great company . Take care and be safe my friend .
Thanks brother! I'm glad you are digging the overlander stuff 🤘
@@DirtLifestyle I'm watching Brad's Garage coffee with you guys right now. I enjoy all of your video's Nate whether it's on the trail or in your shop working on your builds.
Thank you for this wonderful share. As always, wonderful footage, down-to-earth narration, beautiful scenery ... it's the works! I love both your adventure and your diy/build videos; I'm very much getting accustomed to your excellent productions ... thank you again ;-)
Great video . Go Land Rover . And patriot campers . Looked to be a great trip enjoyed your video of this trip . From Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A.
Great trip! Great video! I love the cross over between you and Brad's channel!
Great duo! Enjoy watching both of these channels, so seeing the two of you out together wheeling was a blast.
Dude I’ve said it before but it must be states again, from a cinematic standpoint you by far have taken the quality to another level.
And they lived among us. Thanks for the historical sites in your video. Great job. MORE
Thank you!
Good seeing two excellent channels collaborating. Incredibly envious!
Awesome to see an Aussie Patriot Trailer on some US trails 🤘
Your enthusiasm is contagious! Keep the great content coming👍
That's where i grew up. Some of the best places for the outdoors in the world.
Nate I really liked this video. Great selection of music, just really set a cool vibe through the whole thing. Keep it up man!
Thank you! I'm trying super hard to get better with sound design and music. It's a sharp learning curve
@@DirtLifestyle really love the music choice only one thing would be to try and match it with your voice or a little lower. Just dont like always turning it down always and then back up!
You’re providing exactly the wheeling/overlanding content that dudes like me need! Thanks man keep showing us our next destination!
Thanks man 👊
Nice to see that the Patriot Camper performed so well on the Rubicon! I wouldn't have expected anything less from them.
Great to see the Disco is working out for you. Good video 😎👍
So far so good bro 🤘
Man dude I have watched the majority of your videos but this one really stands out to me. Very well put together🤘
One of my most favorite Vids so far. Thank you for sharing.
Nice adventure thank you for sharing. I had a 2004 Disco, was great off road with just a 2 inch lift and larger tires. Got totaled when I got hit by an unlicensed/uninsured/undocumented driver. Switched to a 03 Rubicon TJ for my off road rig, but miss the Disco.
I’ve been away for a while, man it’s good to see outdoor adventures again. Thank you for the video, hopefully I’ll get to drive out west this spring.
Looks like an epic trip. Speechless
Much appreciated buddy! We had a blast 🤘
Great times! I’m glad to see you take the time to enjoy your project. I think too many people get so wrapped up in making the rig they forget what it is for. Love your videos.
You should do more videos like this! The garage is awesome and super helpful, but these videos are a lot of fun to watch! Keep it up homie!!
Dude, spot on vid. Music, cinematography were top notch. The adventure didn't hurt either! Your best to date!
This was awesome footage 👏!! Thanks for filming it and posting!😎😎
Thanks!
Happiness is seeing a Land Rover! As a 71 SIIa 88 owner, I’m eyeing a Disco or a RRC in addition and am following your builds and trails (and travails:/) Great vid and tasty tunes!
I'm glad your digging the disco! Thank you for watching!
All your vids are inspiring buddy. Since watching these I’ve built a bed rack for my 19 Silverado and am making skottles for my friends and fam. Thanks for the inspiration
Awesome video. Seems like an amazing trip. It’s cool to see your Land Rover hanging in there with the new jeeps. Good work.
I loved the scenery, I loved the way the video was edited, great job, and I like your style! It is also great to see Brad as a regular fellow camper!
Absolutely wonderful! Great to see you guys together and great to see a different but great Offroad video!
Thanks!
Love the collaboration. I already follow both channels. I grew up in Sac area and still love finding new places in the Sierras. Thanks for the ideas... great job boys!
Nice Trail caught in great pictures and rounded up with nice taste of music! Discos are often underestimated 💪🏼 Regards from Germany
The quality of this video is insane ! Very good job on the editing. This is so nice to watch. I love seeing the Disco2 doing all this. I’m currently building a LWB Suzuki samurai 4-link rear and 3-link front with 16” airshocks. But I’m thinking of getting me a Discovery too. Love the work you did on this so far. Keep up those fantastic videos !!
Looks like so much fun. And you gave a chef! 😍. I really enjoyed this. Glad RUclips recommended this completely unrelated video 😁
With editing skills like you have, I dont know how you don't have a million subs brother! Glad I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago. You are an inspiration to my jeep builds on my channel!
Thank you brother, I appreciate the giant compliment 👍
Great video! Thanks for mentioning the places you go and the things to see, I would love to do the same trips!
Hit us up we will take you
I live 25 mins from Downieville so awesome you guys went there!
Found your channel through Trail Recon and I am now a subscriber. Great footage and editing. Love the way you put your video together. Keep it up and good luck to you.
Thank you! Brad is a great dude! Welcome aboard 👍
Great job you too 👍 love watching both of you
Thanks man!
@@DirtLifestyle you two do things that we wish we could
Thanks to both of you
I lived in downieville for a few years as a kid. It is beautiful there!
Dude, I live in Chico and grew up in Oroville passed the Dam. I TOTALLY forgot about this old mining town!!! I'm going to check it out soon! Thanks for posting this dude!
It is awesome to see you take your Disco out. I wanted one but ended up with an XJ. I wanted a box on wheels and couldn't find a decent Disco.
Look at it this way...with the money you saved buying the xj and that you'll save on modsbuilding it, that's more money in gas to get out there and use it
Great video, I enjoyed watching both you and brad’s videos. It filled in some gaps and questions I had. Would have been cool to see Marco there. That dude is a top notch cook. Glad the disco made it.
Thank you! We all missed Marco but next time he will be with us 🤘
Man that seemed like a really nice trip. Glad the disco held up, these experiences are worth gold, nothing better than being on the trail.
It was awesome! Brad is one of my favorite people 👍
I love seeing the old discos out and about. A truly well kept Disco 1 or Disco 2 that you have can run forever if maintenance is kept up on them. Also From having owned a Disco 1 and seen it against Disco 2's and jeeps in action the only real week point is the axles on the D2. not so much the housing but the shafts themselves. I cant wait to see your one ton swap under it, though given how these trucks are setup the radius arm/trailing arm suspension is fairly robust. The ones you have i can tell are after market to support the lift but they work amazing off road. Rear end is a trailing arm Watts link combo which is better then the piviot ball 3/4 link the D1's, Defenders, and Range Rover Classics had on them. Is the Watts better then a 4 link i'm not sure but its fairly solid for how LR designed them back then.
Awesome footage Nate!! So rad follow you 4 along!
Thank you!
Wow, that looked like a great getaway! Awesome footage and editing-thumbs up to you and Brad’s son.
That Disco and those Gladiators did great over some tight technical stuff. Especially with the trailer. I know Brad sold his now.
This is why I need an old Jeep to tow behind the Sprinter: base camp and exploration. Have the moto but need room for the wife and dog!
Looking forward to more travel along with your build videos in 2021.
One thing I’d like to see is your ratings for the trails you guys take. Break them down by experience and type of equipment that could make it. Are there by-passes or turn-arounds?
Some look easy-not on this video-but probably aren’t and some look difficult with high clearance 4x4 only signs but then you see some guy in a Prius driving them.
Just a thought for future?
Very nice video! The footage and comments are better than a costly film production! Keep on the great work you do!👍😎
Thank you!
My go to place, lots to see in Plumas National Forest. We take our 2002 Land Cruser up there
Nice!
Good to see both Dirt Lifestyle and Trail Recon, both that I follow together. Different video than both of you have posted. Thanks
Awesome vid I was engaged the whole time! Lovin this content esp with the trailrecon collab. Dico’s all the way (mines diesel tho and nearly 20 years old still going strong just a minor cab leak by the top of front passenger door).
love the mix between build and adventure , keep it up very inspiring to get my build going.
Thank you!
Got to find a way to visit these trails soon!!! Thanks for this great video! @trailrecon Brad, it's always nice to "see" you ! ehhe Where's MArco?!?!? :D Cheers guys!
Thanks for showing the content of the trailer going down the trail... i’m working on designing a new lightweight off-road trailer... just gives me something to think about
Im a new follower and I love that I found the channel, it makes me miss the rich history of California and the Adventures with my buddies! You make me want to ditch my ranger and back pack for an old Rover! I love the build and content!
Thank you! Northern California is very special 👍
Excellent filming and editing on this trip. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Loved the video and doing the collaboration with Brad fantastic job
Thanks!
Nate! Super cool video! I have friends up in the area, and we venture to Downyville often, i always take the motorcycle up when i come from AZ, as soon as my bronco build is done it's coming with me to hit the trails!
Great video Nate. The wife and I like to just jump on the bike or in the JL and explore. Those old cemetaries are a gold nugget in themselves, to see the history. If they could only tell a story of the past.
Thank you! I feel the same. The feeling of seeing graves that old almost takes you back in some small way. It was a very cool and humbling suprise 👍
Hey bro I know this channel is huge now and you might not see this comment, but those panoramic shots from the second day in the morning were frikkin awesome tons of quality
Looks like fun and the food made me hungry. Brad trailrecon he’s awesome. I’m glad you guys linked up to off-road and explore.
Brad is the best! Thanks for watching!
My two favorite channels. Nice job guys.
Thanks!
I really enjoyed that video, had a nice mixture of just what I needed late one night. A great little adventure. Years back I did a fair bit of offroading and miss those times here in the UK.
Got a Cybertruck on order and it's 500+ mile electric range should be more than enough for some weekends exploring some interesting places I have never been around our little country and beyond. Can't wait to explore some more remote parts of Wales which for me I have seen very little of with it's long history and old abandoned mining towns which your video made me think of !
...perhaps go explore some old mines too with some friends (something else I have not done in too long which used to be a fun hobby of mine). Good times to be had :)
Thanks! I want one of those trucks bad!
It might not need much of a lift, it comes with adjustable air suspension with up to 16" of travel as spec'd atm, but Elon recently tweeted that they are respec'ing it's suspension (what it will come with) to be able to take on the Baja 1000 which he says they are also entering! They already have an experimental battery capable of 3650 miles of range, so they could certainly run it on one charge. Comes with 32 inch wheels btw, I think some of you guys run 35" ?
Really looking forward to this Beast! ^_^
Great video. Your rig did a great job. You passed my home town if you came down the 5. Be safe and keep overlanding.
Nate, absolutely an awesome video! Very relaxing I'm sure. Thank you for sharing it with us! Keep them coming!
-Rick
What an awesome adventure!! Live the dream brother! Love the Land Rover. We have a LR4 but its seen nothing but beach sand.
What an awesome trip!!!!
Wow.. Beautiful country
one of your best videos yet! Keep up the great work and awesome views!
1. 9:00 If you find the bullet or shell casings from the shooting you can report that too. 😀
2. If you and Marco got together and filmed a trail cooking video OMG 😱
3. Watched the #Joolca demonstration video. I’ll be ordering that thing ASAP.
That was really cool man. I grew up taking those off roads outside of Downieville. You can spend days and days cruising around there.
Great Video! It is very nice to see how you build your projects and then use and test them! I hope you can do more overland trips! by the way the land rover is looking great! I already want to see it with the new suspension! Greetings and support from Venezuela! I hope I can put my XJ like this someday! please never stop making this kind of videos! One of the best on RUclips!
Thanks brother!
Amazing video! I've loved your fab videos and the ones wheeling in the Jeep, but seeing you capture a trip like this is even better.
Thank you!
Excellent job, guys! Love watching y'all's adventures!
Thank you!
History is important .. Keep up the good work Nate ! 🇺🇸
Was in downieville just a few weeks back to do poker flat, cleghorn bar and snake lakes.
Those buildings and graveyard in howland flat were amazing.
First time viewer after seeing you on Trail Recon. Great video. Definitely subscribing.
The builds, the skills, the trails, you’ll here forever man. One of the most complete channels over here!.
Thank you! Welcome aboard!
Some of the best music and cinematography anywhere.
Thank you! I appreciate it!
18 seconds in and my jaw is on the floor! Amazing B Roll!
Lol thank you! I really appreciate it 🤘
slow mo, silhouette, close up, drone, music - edit clinic. keeping this in mind in case i ever video. new to channel. subscribed. nice work!
You have serious talent and an eye for framing, which is hard when things are done live! Also, your use of black space is fantastic, not an easy thing to use well! Really sections the video nicely and helps keep peoples' attention
Amazing trip. Good times! Well done guys!!
Awesome as per the usual, looked like a killer time dude!!!
Truly fantastic video Nate. Your production quality is AMAZING! Great work!
Can’t wait for the next one! I love to see a fellow disco owner putting the rig to use.
Thanks!
Nate this is your best work ever!
Thank you!
Absolutely excellent dude, excellent. Thank you.
