Halfway through making this I saw that I had already done a video like this just a year ago... But I didn't want to waste all the work I did so here it is. I'll also be uploading a random vlog I filmed 3 months ago later today :P
I think cucumber is fine for bunnies but it is mostly water... not a great deal of nutrition for them but bunnies need lots of water in their diet so that is okay I would think. The dark green leafy veges would be better though. I think the darker green the leaf the better. Make sure they get lots of hay in their diet though... to keep the digestive system moving.
My bunny loves Raspberries and bananas. She enjoys basically anything except Papaya, Pineapple and any type of melon. She's very stubborn about the things she dislikes lol. And I know it's not a snack, but sometimes I hide a few small bits of plantain (the herbs) in our room for her to find, it never fails to make her happy!
My rabbit likes banana by far and a feed him Cerritos which have no coloring and extra sugur! Your rabbits are so cute and your videos are so very helpful and inspiring! I got a rabbit not too long ago maybe two months because of your channel and a another rabbit channel! Ps. Rowen is supper cute!
Great videos!!!! This one helps me more because when I am going to get my bunny I was going to do a lot wrong. And you also gave more information than most videos on treats I have seen form other things and people! Love them!👍🏿
I don't know how many times I've gone to the pet store and had to stop people from buying Bad treats for their rabbits🤔.It's always the same response "Why not there's a rabbit on the package"😩.Your videos have Help me so much when I was and stell are learning about Rabbits.I tell people please do your research before bringing home a BunBun they're not easy, low maintenance pet (Is any animal🤷♀️).I always give them the same references like The Rabbit House Society,Blah Blah Blah (there's so many more) then I tell them about RUclips and your channel (A few others of course). My favorite thing about you is,you get straight to the point.Anyway sorry for the story ☺🤦♀️ Love your channel.
I like your bunnies. One of my bunny doesn't liked to be touched. My female bunny gave birth to 5 baby bunnies and they are 4 weeks old. So cute to cuddle them. I never feed my bunnies treats n sweets. Just keeping them natural
I have a problem. (Okay, it’s not really that big of a deal) but I just got a rabbit and he is SUPER picky! I am trying to find a treat to give to him that he likes, but he won’t eat them. He doesn’t even eat most of his greens (he only likes lettuce) I’ve tried giving him all types of fruits (banana, apple, strawberry, blueberries, carrots, etc.) what should I do?
People want to make money, even if it means selling junk. But Cao-Cao still eats better than me! She loves her greens. It's veggie this and veggie that.
You could substitute the word rabbit for child and all the information would still apply. Especially the question of if it’s made for them and it’s in stores how come it’s not good for them? It’s all about the $. Thank you for being aware. ☮️❤️☕️-Kirsten
Hey! I'm getting rabbits after winter! :D ♡ I was wondering, have you done a video about rabbit illnesses and sicknesses? If not then can you do one? It would really help! ;)
My bunny loves those oxbow digestive package as treats also! And if she hears the glass container of dried carrots she jumps in my lap just to try to use me to grab some lol
Storm and misty are sooo cute, as always 💜 love your videos 🐇🥕, my rabbits favorite treats are banana, I haven't met a bunny yet that doesn't like them 😂🍌
My friend feed her guinea pigs (I know not rabbits but oh well) and she always wants to feed colourful ones and stuff like chocolate drops and things that look fun. However I encourage her to feed stuff like dried or fresh forage and fruit. Also my friend who used 5o have gerbils comes to get my animal supplies with me and I point out stuff like that's not good and shes like oh well why do they sell it because it must be safe and I get so angry lol
I have a treat question. I know when it’s summer you have to keep them cool and I watched your video on the frozen cube veggie treats. Can bunnies choke on them? Im thinking on doing that when I get one in the future but I just want to be sure. Love your videos and I watch them everyday!!!
Sorry this is not an answer but if you'd like some kinda bunny ice cream that they won't choke on you can mash a banana and freeze it and give it to them!
I love you so much I have just started my own channel because you inspired me to Storm and misty are so cute My rabbits are netherland dwarf rabbits called Luna and tiger 🐰🐰
Hi Abby, We just went through changing our bunny's diet from pellets to strictly hay after noticing it having a really bad pooping problem. It's only been a few days since the transition. Would you still recommend integrating some pellets or would it be okay to completely omit them? Thanks.
Sometimes i give my bun apples and she goes CRAZY she grabs it and runs then when she finishes she begs and periscopes for more😂 I also have tried dehydrated strawberries but she didnt really like them i might try again tho bc we were on a road trip then too
so i eat dinner in my room, my rabbits have free range of my room. sometimes when im eating food they hop up on my bed and snatch.... of course i say NO in a stern voice and take it back.. i was eating chicken breast when he jumped up.. knowing him i put him down in fear he would eat my chicken... so i put my chicken on my nightstand as i left the room. i come back 1 minute later to see him on the night stand and him having taken a smalk bite of chicken. so now i have bought a cage to put him in when i leave my room ot am wating cause he is such a piggy. i called the vet and took him in for a check up the next day.. i new he would be fine and he need a check up anyways. thats my boy patrick. millie hates all food except lettuce hay and a certain very expensive brand of pellet.
Dang I bought the yogurt drops and now my rabbit doesn't want anything else...and now i see they're not good for her😭 and now ima have to find out how to get her to eat again and not just want treats
Hi Abby idk if you will read this but i asked my mom if I can give my 9 week yr old bunny a carrot as a treat but she said his digestive system isn’t “ready yet” so can u tell me how old bunny’s are suppose to be to eat veggies and fruit(Ik my grammar is horrible)
I used to give my bunnies treats with corn flour, I’m not ever going to buy that again. These people need to know that some people don’t know those aren’t good for bunnies
Ash Kitty Do not give iceberg lettuce! It contains a chemical that is harmful to rabbits. Other lettuces like romaine, butter lettuce, red leaf lettuce and green leaf lettuce are good. Since you are new to rabbits, please do thorough research and talk to your vet to educate yourself on the proper care and feeding of rabbits. They have extremely sensitive digestive systems and get sick quickly and easily, so you need to know what you’re doing! To start, this is a great website to learn. There are links within this article that list the types and amounts of fresh veggies and fruits that can be fed. rabbit.org/faq-diet/ And don’t forget that 85% of a rabbit’s daily diet should consist of fresh hay-preferably timothy hay. (Orchard hay is a good alternative, but most buns prefer timothy.) Hay contains high fiber and nutrients that are critical to a rabbit’s good health. A rabbit should consume an amount of hay per day that is equal to the size of their body! Treats should be the last thing on the list and be fed in great moderation.
Ash Kitty Yes! But as with all fruit, feed in moderation due to high sugar and starch, both of which are hard on a rabbit’s digestive system. An approximate amount of fruit to feed your rabbit is a teaspoon per 2 lbs of body weight daily in one feeding or divided into multiple feedings. Better yet, feed it every other day.
When my mom was little she had a farm with her family she fed them a whole apple and alot of other fruits and veggies and they didnt get sick from the apple seeds she used to give them potato skin and i feed that to my bunny too
Stefi DiDi WRONG!!! Apple seeds are toxic to rabbits!! This is mentioned in many vet articles online and on many rabbit websites such as the House Rabbit Society. You are spreading harmful info to people to claim otherwise!!
Halfway through making this I saw that I had already done a video like this just a year ago... But I didn't want to waste all the work I did so here it is.
