Hasan Askari he still doesn’t hit the notes in 96, and does that weird drop-off in notes. “Maybe I just want to fly\” “we’ll see things they’ll never seee-aah” He’s doing that because he’s already losing the ability to hit the note. You might like this style, but his range was perfect in 94. He just didn’t have the rock and roll hoarseness. I preferred his britpop perfect pitch voice, not his Axl Rose.

2006 was just a terrible year for Liam sadly, thank God his finally back in form sounding amazing than ever before and nailing oasis song just like the old times
loved the innocence of 94. love the rasp of 95-00. beautiful once again in 2017 onwards. for someone who didn’t look after their voice for years and technically doesn’t sing the “right way”, it’s amazing how he’s restored it. he gave singing everything throughout the 90s & 00s and the passion was always there, damaged voice or not, nobody can take that away from him.
His 2017 performance at One Love Concert is amazing. Absolutely loved it. I think people are actually overlooking the fact that our voice changes as we age. You'd know that if you are 40/50 and realize how different and clearer you sounded in your early youth years. Liam might have overused his vocal chords, he's been singing for over 25 years. But let's not forget that he started singing when he was quite young and now he is a middle-aged man. So that's another reason why we are seeing a gradual change in his voice with time.
@@GuerrillaGuitar I remind people all the time some have it and some dont. I have seen it in local acts getting bigger. Anthony Green Saosin/circa survive... His vocal chords can take abuse and he makes it happen. Craigery from Chiodos who liked higher notes.... He lost his power.
Considering his style of singing and his lifestyle, its impressive that he can still deliver in 2017. 25 years of heavy throat abuse! He is a legend. Ps.: 2006 was really awful, but its the worse presentation from that year!
Fam the way he sings is literally toxic to his whole vocals by singing up instead of straight he’s using his throat instead of diaphragm so even though it sound good it dies quicker than any other voice
IMO his voice from 1998-2003 wasn't that bad, Glastonbury 2004 was when I'd consider it the downfall. That 2006 Argentina performance was especially his absolute worst, in the full video he's stopping mid sentence like "Maybe, I just wanna fla- wanna live but don't wanna da- maybe I just wanna brea- maybe I just DON'T BELIV-" Kinda regret that the video missed out the years 2000-2002, Wembley in 2000 and Rio 2001 were alright concerts as-well.
he was really fucking good through SOTSOG era, Heathen Chemistry he was okay, then in 2004 he got wayy worse. I'd say he's the best he's been since 2001, but not as good as he was then. At least he's a good singer again now, but through 2001 he was awesome.
Yeah I agree 2004 and onward was pretty cancer, except right until 2017 when he brought improvement to his voice. I think either Philadelphia 1999 or Rio 2001 were his best when it came to rasp/Lennon-esque because he could still hold the notes. I still think his 1994-1997 was his absolute apex but his 2017 voice is definitely the best its been since AT LEAST before Glastonbury 2004 right? maybe pushing 2000-2003?
This song is amazing. Full of emotion and attitude the combination of lyrics and the mood set by the music sends chills. Only great can song deliver that. I like liams voice through out all the years he delivers everytime.
I watched the whole 1996 Live Forever and it’s a miracle, that his vocal chords didn’t tear apart. He was playing with his voice and not in a good way and shout from throat with full strenght. If he didn’t do this his vocal range could be stood more wide.
Same reason why Dylan sounds like shite today. Throat singing and not in a natural voice. Dylan’s real voice is Nashville Skyline. Kurt Cobain Dane problem. He’d blow his voice out the top of every tour. Then you get people like Bob Weir (Grateful Dead) and he sounds the same 50 years and 5000+ shows later. Robert Smith (The Cure) sounds the same after 45 years. It’s all technique
@@mumbles215 sincs I learned next to the poor technique Liam Gallagher is suffering in various diseases which didn’t help with his voice. For example Hashimoto’s Tyroiditis, Laryngitis and Hay Fever. I think Liam today learned singing again. His voice had a unique tone and he has a great stage presence which makes him to be enjoyable. I don’t mind that Liam is what it is today. I love what he achieves since 2017.
1) His technique of singing upward into the mic puts undue pressure and strain on the vocal cords and that alone will cause roblems after decades. 2) His style of singing from his throat more than his diaphragm is also unsustainable for decades without damaging your vocal cords. 3) Singing this way for over an hour every night for months at a time obviously expedites throwing ones voice out when using all these techniques. Liam does not sing in his natural voice obviously. And for that his throat has paid the price. I'm pretty sure he had polyps on his vocal cords around 2005 and quietly had them removed. He is currently singing more in his natural voice but unfortunately the damage has been done and it's irreparable. And the "medical conditions"regarding his throat you hear about which fans use as to take blame off Liam (if they are even true) was created by 25 years of punishing his voice. John Lennon's best pal in the 70s Harry Nilsson had the same issues.
