Blind and Slow are goated in this game. I use it on every boss encounter when the boss isn't immune. Most fights become way easier if you use status effects.

Funny enough, Monk is actually a quite good Class for Penelo, since she has the lowest base HP in the game and Monk has the highest amount of HP growth which balance her out insanely good. But the actual thing i am happy about is the fact that Fran is a Virgo, as myself, AND she is the only playable Viera in the game.. and Viera literally are my most favorite Race in the entire Frenchise, simply because they are bunny humanoids and bunnies are my favorite animals 💜
Remember there are bunny boys they are canonically part of the race. The lore is that the female bunnies are the ones who go out and hunt and are seen while the male bunnies stay back in the villages and aren't seen very often.

I want to play class combos I don't usually think of, and I don't want to assign them to gender-roles(ie men typically get physical jobs while women get magical/support jobs). I stole some of the class combo names from a gamefaqs thread. Early challenge: get Zodiac Spear asap, have Fran be the dragoon my bun boi in XIV always aims to be. Main challenges: Do all hunts at recommended level(no over leveling or waiting until they become piss easy). Will probably cap level for Hell Wyrm regardless. 100% the map without buying maps. Vaan: White Monk (White Mage + Monk) -- Unarmed Penelo: Berserker (Shikari + Foebreaker) -- Axes or Hammers Balthier: Steam Wizard/Gun Mage (Machinist + Red Battlemage) -- Guns Fran: Chronal Dragoon (Uhlan + Time Battlemage) -- Spears, maybe Crossbows Ashe: Spellblade (Black Mage + Knight) -- Hand-bombs Basch: Samurai (Bushi + Archer) -- Katana and bows I'll likely take way too much time playing this game. I tend to spend long hours just exploring, and 100%ing the map without purchasing any is just going to add to that 😂

As a kid I hated the gil snapper, it was such a hard challenge for a dumb me with no internet. You killing it was the highlight I was waiting for in this series.
I've been thoroughly enjoying this it has made me go back to my copy of 12. Not a zodiak challenge like yours but I was only doing one-job per character and doing hunts as I got them and I have to say... some of them are just brick and I do wonder how you're going to manage them. Like the Golem at Nabrudis Deadlands
You know I finished intro and I think I'll leave this series at that. Not because I don't like the series but because I think it's finally time I go and buy the game (next time it's on sale) and finally play the game to the finish. Small me bought the ps2 version when it came out but I think I gave up around Belial because I experienced FF series in order of Tactics Advance (gba) - > X-2 -> X -> IX -> XII and twelve was just too different for my child brain to comprehend. Now as older player and with bigger brain (and having experienced XI macroing as a RDM) I think I can finally really appreciate XII to its fullest.
The grand kiltias is mote like the pope. Their plan was to plead with Vayne's father for peace after they restore Dalmasca as a sovereign nation, knowing he would at least listen to their plea.
Ozomone plain is my fav map on early game, cuz i can farm weap called "kogarasumaru" while grinding exp n lp. And then sell them at jahara 🤣🤣🤣 Im playing ps2 vers btw, i dunno if this thing still work on remastered version

Green Mage is a thing in a couple other games. FFTA2 comes to mind, where it has mainly status ailments and buffing magics, and wields maces/robes.
