About chickens, it's a side quest where you need to find them all. I believe you can talk to it because you picked up Feather of the Flock after completing the Gil Snapper hunt, the item was in the same area. Later on you need to come to Giza Plains during drought and talk to the person who raises chickens. She will ask you to find the rest of them.
I don't remember what was the reward for it, but some of them were annoyingly to find (especially the one you need to chase around in Rabanastre)
So yeah, just a side quest where you talk to chickens and some of their dialogs were funny, that's all.

Oh wow. This game has soooo many side quests it’s insane
Most I’ve never heard of too

@@JamSac because most of them are missable af. For example there's a small kinda side quest in Nalbina. And you can start it ONLY if you decide to backtrack to Nalbina before you go to Jahara (you'll meet there a girl who is spying on Biggs and Wedge easter egg, and later you'll be able to find her in Archades and she'll give you an item). I mean, who the fuck would do that when the game encourages you to go in a completely different direction? There's also a quest with Viera sitting at the stairs in Bazaar (Rabanastre) and you need to return to her multiple times and answer her questions correctly, then you'll find her in Montblanc guild and she'll give you a really good sword. There's a fishing side quest, the side quest with pendants, side quests about the girl who lost her memory, the side quest of two lovers, the side quest of letters on the airship and many others. I had to write them all down separately from the guides because guides tend to forget mentioning them during walkthroughs or mention them in a separate section of the guide i dunno. Anyway, those are really missable because most of them require specific timing to trigger them and a lot of backtracking. But unfortunately they're not memorable enough either. They're just there and sometimes give you cool items or equipment. That's all.

@@atomicgrave4340 I remember the airship one! But that’s about it
I used to have the official strategy guide but I’ve moved so many times it’s just been lost 😞

I always look forward to your videos. They are so good and a unique take on a final fantasy "playthrough", also it feels nice to have a youtuber mixing the FF world with rpdr/other pop culture stuff. Keep going it's really good 👍

I remember seeing the art for Arcades in a teaser and thinking how impressive it was. It had that epic scope to it with the tall buildings and futuristic vibe. And especially in contrast to how lively and colorful Rabanastre is. Finally getting to Arcades for the first time really did feel like a lengthy journey, and then you get there and it's immediately unwelcoming both in atmosphere and in the mundane things you must do to get ahead.
From a storytelling perspective, it works nicely to really cement that the ideology and way of life between these political states is so different. The party is not there to sight see and partake in the high society way of life. It was also great to have such an eclectic adversary as Cid. The relationship between Cid and Balthier & Balthier's prior position as judge seem like there was so much room to explore as a narrative. Would've been interesting to see what kind of FFXII we would've experienced had they kept the older members of the party as the lead, but alas, I still enjoy what we got for what it is.

Did you realize that you can cast magic and use items on your reserve party members while in battle? You can use L1 and R1 to cycle through the targets in battle and select your inactive party members. I always see you bringing in a dead character to your active party to revive.

I really enjoy this series. I didn’t expect to, but I am! Your editing is quite funny.
That said, I get the problem with Zalera. I don’t know if I would have won that way, but I would have set dispel as a gambit before curing the undead.
Anyway, happy new year and keep it up! I love this game and i love this series. I hope the next ones will be good too. Like maybe an all white mage run or something

just a thought, you probably could have had an easier time with Zalera by either spamming high-grade potions/pheonix downs at them, or by raising everyone's level to a prime number. For example, 41 is prime. Most of his skills are Lv skills, so they only hit targets whose levels are multiples of that number (eg, Lv5 Death would cast Death on everyone whose level is a multiple of 5) So by having everyone with a prime numbered level, they'd all fail.

*btw the death spell is in the paramina rift for basch me like basch gaMiNg D:!*

you hit on a recurring problem with FF games near the end; all too often the party is almost entirely human(or passes for human), despite most settings having multiple other races they could choose from. Think FF6 was the best in regards to non-human playable characters, but it also had the largest party cast of any FF game. Maybe FF9? but haven't played or looked into, so can't say for certain.
Then again, that's a problem with JRPGs in general(or even just most RPGs), giving you mostly or only human character options and leaving the non-humans to be antagonists or set-dressing.(and no, games like FFTA or FFXIV don't really count since we're talking about the main cast of party characters, not ones you make yourself or that are randomly generated. )

what interesting about ff12's ivalice. there other spin off game where it held in the same universe as this ivalice.where you manage a guild of sort that able to recruit characters from other races. i do think they made this with lack of other races because of what the market are and prior game dont really include bunch of other races aside from ff6 and ff9.
