yooo man, never chased striper before but noticed youre using some lighter rods. how much lead are you casting with those? ive got rods for bass, steelhead, and salmon.. wondering if i can get away with using one of those. thanks in advance
you can use bass rods but it’s more ideal to use longer rods like 8+ feet like surf rods because you never know what size you might reel in, I’ve been using my G loomis 7 feet bass rod and it’s hard to use for live bait. I mainly use it for jerk baits stripers love hitting them over on the freeport side
@@isaacdeaver03 good to know thanks guys, i ended up getting a little 7' mh ugly stik, been casting 4 oz with no issues so far and landed my first striper. 16.75 just short of a keeper
Love your videos bro, Nice catches. Would you mind doing a catch n cook one of these days ?
I have done some catch n cooks before
But I’ll do one soon 👍

Yessir! Making it look too easy! I can’t wait for jerkbait action. It’s already heating up

Nice 🔥
I limited out on bait after watching this video 🔥

what setup and weight ounce do you use in the river my line often drifts and sag with a 5oz.
Medium heavy ugly stick tiger rod
50 lb braid
25 mono leader
Any weight from 6-10 ounce should be ok right now when you cast far
Any hook and slider 👍
Let's getem boys
What do you spray the bait with?
What kind of hooks are best
What was that spray ?

On my lighter rods
I use 1-2 ounce weights.
Bass, steelhead and salmon rods are definitely ok to use to catch them.

Nice day of fishing. You ever fish freeport?
Once in a while
Hey man I’m from the Sacramento area and I want to start a fishing channel just like yours any advice on starting RUclips?
Just do it bro. Be comfortable and confident I’ll keep a eye out for a Channel
Nice catches but what’s up with the net 😂 just drag it onto beach
Can’t lose my thumbnail 😂
We should collage and have some friendly fishing and then we can cookout
tbh you shouldnt spray your bait, pile and blood worms have their own scent the stripers could smell just a heads up
Thanks for the advice but I feel like it won’t hurt to add a little more scent 👍
What is power worm? Is that like lug worm?
Pile worm*
It’s a ocean worm that works really well for striped bass
Aye bro, we can I get one of those carts that you got, I like that it’s foldable.
Walmart has them
What's the limit?
2 per person 18inches and up can keep
could you give me the location
Can you tell me the location please!
Knights landing, outskirts of woodland CA
Nice, say hi to ur mom for me, I’m Sam.
Stop using other scents pile worms have their own scent and stop using ultralight rods it’s gonna break
Bro you need to get all your shit out of the way. You're too congested, and trippin over your own things. Move everything 3ft back from your rods
