    I have this exact machine, bought it from Walmart website in August 2010. This machine has never leaked, I have not had one issue with this Haier washer. I think you will be pleased for a long time with this machine. Thanks for the plumbing tip.

    I have the next larger size of Haier washer and I LOVE it!
    You did a very detailed explanation of the setup and workings of this machine. Thank you for that.
    Some people have bragged about the Panda double-tub machine. I don’t know why anyone would choose that time-consumer over this automatic machine except for the price. My opinion is for you to save your money and choose this automatic model instead. You put your clothes in and walk away. In about an hour, you come back to perfectly clean and almost dry clothes. It’s worth the extra cost.

  • @bcora181
    @bcora181 6 лет назад +17

    Thanks for such a detailed review! I'd also like to suggest that you use a lint trap on the drain hose. You can buy it at your local hardware store, or use nylon stockings, and tie it to the end of the drain hose. This keeps the clothes' lint from clogging your drain. 😀

      I actually came up with a better way. I read somewhere that vegetation likes "gray water" that comes from a washer because of the phosphorous and nitrogen in the detergents. If not done too much in one place, plants do as well as if irrigated with clean water. So I capture the drain water and pour it in different areas of my yard.

      Sounds good!
      I just got my machine yesterday (yay!) and I'm having a hard time screwing on the metal plate. Did you use a manual screwdriver or a power drill for this? Also, do you recommend using WD-40 to help the screws go through the holes easier?

    • @MyKitchenVlog
      @MyKitchenVlog  6 лет назад +2

      I used a standard philips screwdriver. They're sheet metal screws that will cut their own way through; so it does require a little more effort. I wouldn't use a lubricant like WD-40 because if they're lubed they might loosen from vibration when the machine is working. I hope that helps. -Dennis

    WOW. You REALLY went into detail! I've had a few machines (that didn't have wheels) so I placed it on a $13 *dolly* bought off eBay that I simply rolled into my kitchen & hooked up to the sink when needed then rolled it into my dining room corner when I didn't. Many times ppl sell their used one's on Craigslist, Offer Up or FB Marketplace for $150 or less. Ppl have sold them (for as little as) *$25* bux! They are GREAT to have because it sure as hell saves you time, aggravation & money having to lug clothes to the laundromat then sit there until they are done! Thanks for the video!😁✔️

    Dennis,
    I am kinda feeling sorry for you. You said 10 years washing laundry by hand!
    Here I have been going to the laundry mat, and complaining the whole time, I hate the laundry mat.
    I thought since you live in a double wide you have full size washer and dryer hooked up.
    Dennis, now I am so glad for you.
    I really hope this washing machine serves you well.

    • @MyKitchenVlog
      @MyKitchenVlog  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you Jody. Yes, I live in a double-wide, but it doesn't have hookups for washer dryer (and the single-wides around me have them). I guess that was a choice of the original owner. The new portable washer has been working well. I'll never complain about doing laundry again. I'm very happy. -Dennis

    Excellent excellent video, thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. Your tips will help me greatly. Your voice is so nice, calm and friendly
    I only have one little complaint, i wish you showed a full load of laundry.
    Im trying to decide between a .9 cu, 1.6cu or 2.0.
    It just for just one adult but it would be nice to see how many say, pairs of jeans can you add in one load comfortably with it being still wash, rinse and drain property without over loading.
    I also have queen size sheets and double sized fluffy like blanket. The kind you see sometimes on the back of a sofa.

    • @MyKitchenVlog
      @MyKitchenVlog  4 года назад +3

      Thanks for the positive feedback. As for size, I was limited by the size of the doorway the machine needed to fit through to wheel it into the bathroom where the hookups are. My machine can easily handle two thick pairs to jeans or four shirts at the large load setting. I hope that helps. -Dennis

    No studio lighting in the bathroom.... appalling... the nerve of some people! LOL
    Did seem strange seeing you outside the kitchen, kind of like when you see people in street clothes the first time.
    Very nice machine and what a joy it will be not to wash manually.
    On a cheap note, have been making my own laundry soap for over a decade - much better than detergents in every way.
    If memory serves it costs me a penny or so a load. There is a liquid version you can make as well.

    • @MyKitchenVlog
      @MyKitchenVlog  6 лет назад +1

      And I didn't do a white balance either. I must be slipping. I looked into the idea of homemade laundry soap. It seems easy enough. I might try it. Thanks Jake. -Dennis

    Great Video. I have a 24 ft travel trailer i want a wash machine but afraid of leaks so I googled hooking up wash machine in shower and found you. They no longer make your machine. Do you have another brand model you recommend? Thank you M:

    • @MyKitchenVlog
      @MyKitchenVlog  3 года назад

      I only own the one machine; so I don't know about the others. My consideration was size. Measure the door width and the space where you want to use it and store it. Buy one that would fit. Also, some don't come with casters, but you might be able to buy them separately. I hope that helps.

  • @meeshiemeeshie
    @meeshiemeeshie 4 года назад

    Directions on machine I’m looking at said machine must be transported upright and yet you’ve laid it on its side so is there a reason they say this or can I lay it to transport from the store?? Any thoughts ?? Thanks

    • @MyKitchenVlog
      @MyKitchenVlog  4 года назад

      You need to lay it on its side to put the casters and the bottom plate on. You'd probably be okay putting it on its side for a trip home from the store. I think "upright" is important if other boxes are stacked on top.

      The brass insert that goes into the quick coupling fit into the gray end of the water supply hose, as shown in the video at 9 minutes 45 seconds. Everything fit together exactly as it should.
