Picking this bike up for next season. I have been riding a 1995 KDX 200 for 10 years. It’s has taken me to places people dream about going on a dirt bike. Arguably one of the best woods bikes ever made. Kawasaki was stupid not building a new aged KDX. I have been researching the Beta 200rr for a couple of years and from what I hear it’s the KDX 200 Kawasaki never built. Great video and appreciate the knowledge. 👊🤙
Yea mate I raced a kdx200 in 2008 at the ISDE in Greece hahaha they were good bikes especially with a kx125 front end and ohlines rear shock. The beta 200 is great bike nice small frame I absolutely loved mine! Easy for hard enduro riding for me.
Need to get out of the paddock Luke. My Sherco 250 runs with a stock 13/49 and for tight stuff I have a 13/51 with the original Michelin tyre mounted. Worked really well in the sand at Bowen!
I bought a Beta RR 200 2020 from WP this year. I absolutely love the bike - I've never had so much fun on a dirtbike before. It's light, nimble, forgiving, powerful, great on the technical and boosting on the flats. I had a mental picture of how I wanted to feel on a bike, and the Beta ticked every box.
Dude that is awesome!! yea mate they are one hell of a bike, I am building mine at looking at getting a APX head for it to give better lugging power. have you played with the sprockets yet?
Awesome, that'll be crazy. I haven't made any adjustments yet. I've been kicking around on a YZ250 prior, so this is a huuuuuuuuge upgrade already. After a few dozen hours I think I'll have a clearer picture of any adjustments that might be needed.
Just trail rides! Getting too old for MX (bones aren't rubber anymore). Wellington has some good casual riding in the Akatarawa Forest Park, so making good use of that regularly! WBU?
@@schectermf350 oh shit nice man!! Looks like wellington is the place to ride nowadays. I need to head down there for a 2 week road trip hahah and just go riding everywhere
@@LosSquid Well pat yourself on the back, since your videos are the best I´ve seen. Riding it to the max and also showing how fast it can be ridden. Thanks for this analysis aswell. Just goes to show, I chose the exact right next bike after my Xtrainer.
That’s weird it really has no effect on turning hahaha maybe cause the power comes on earlier it’s pulling the bike upwards rather than letting it roll through corners
Hey mate where abouts are you from? Yea long lead times at and it's not just Beta that have issues it's all manufacturers atm unfortunately. I'm super keen to have a go on the 300xt they seem like pretty darn cool bikes.

15/49 is what comes stock in the US, I ran a 14 for a long time but to my surprise I ended up liking the 15 better as it let me use 1st gear more often (slow technical tracks) I also tried a 13 but it was way too low.
Na they come out here stock with a 15 as well. I like the 14 but want to try 13 for the really slow harder stuff. 15 just makes you hard wearing on the clutch which I kinda want to avoid a but more on some hills
@@LosSquid 14 is probably the ticket, but try the 13 since it's inexpensive and simple to swap. For me it was way too low. I really liked the 14 and just for the heck of it I threw the 15 back on one day and was surprised how much better it let the bike "flow" but I ride 90% slow technical trail.
Yea I liked the 15 as well but when we have huge hills and run up the 13 I think would b3 best l. For our nationals ill 4un the 14 or 15T 100% they both feel dam good. Are you on a 200 as well? Do you race much?
