I have a turquoise Blue aluminum tree which is a prized possession. Poinsettia and star light up toppers in mint condition in box along with in box string lights. Found snowman and teddy bear in box Krebs ornaments. Along with my sons great grandmothers Shiny bulbs. Also have vintage tree candle making kit. And various other items from my sons great grandparents. We bought part of the family farm and the attic is full of vintage goods 🥰
Love this video! Don't forget the vinyl/rubber reindeer. The colored ones (blue/green/purple (very rare)) can go for hundreds of dollars. Also some of the celluloid Christmas items are pricey.
I’ve had a few Christmases where I didn’t have it in me to do a tree, and that was just fine. Be kind to yourself this year-it gets easier. You’re such a positive person-I appreciate your honesty-we’re all rooting for you!
I like the Christmas s cups and old Christmas s ballc and small old trees and bubble lights and bells put on Christmas s trees love Patricia curry Danville VA 😍
I love your videos, Emily! Vintage Christmas just soothes my soul and speaks to me like no other time of the year! It’s so special. I loved this video. I collect a lot of vintage Christmas pieces. I have 3 aluminum trees, and my fav thing to collect is Mercury glass ornies from the 50-60s. I just started collecting pixies and Santa’s!! I love them! Would love to see more Christmas videos!!! Keep it up friend. 😀❤️👍
Hello cute items most of which I've saved 30+ yrs and my best vintage finds were from salvage or thrift stores. My mom still has her snowy village from 1960s she handmade from Ivory Snow. I have pine cone guys all around! Happy Holidays Oh..always use costume jewelry for shimmer factor, this year I'm making strings of crystals and bulbs
Sister I am with u on this one , I have a major fetish for the 8 light window candles with orange bulbs , I am so head over heels over these old lights that it really pisses my wife off , she hates em but I love to go to antique malls and go on the hunt , I currently want a aluminum x-mas tree , love your video
Fun video. I have about four or five dozen vintage Shiny Brites and three of the original boxes. I have a large collection of bottle brush trees, too, all vintage, and a vintage lighted ceramic tree with snow tipped branches. I also have two vintage Shiny Brite tree toppers. Love them.
I got the snowman on your mantle for $1.00 at a yard sale.l couldn’t believe it! Love th church you have! You’re style is fantastic! Love how you have fun in you’re own world!
I love the vintage Christmas items but do not want to miss out on new creations, like Christopher Radko. Those egg nog sets are harder to find these days. I do not like egg nog either. I collect it all. Another great video, Emily.
The Santa at 10:20, I have one similar that belo ged to my parents. It is from the 50s and the back is open in the shape of a bag. She always put candy canes in it and now I do the same for my granddaughter.
I found 2 vintage ceramic trees last year at 2 different thrift stores, hubby and I love vintage santa's we were picking up vintage Christmas, before they got really popular around 20 plus yeas ago now I'm lucky to find one or two vintage each year, he found me a Christmas candle blow mold for $8.00 , I love the Gurdley Candles.
Aww my mom has that smooshed face Santa, she said she's had it since she was a kid (60's). His beard was replaced at some point though. Not sure if he's worth anything, but it's one of the few items she still has from her childhood, so he's very special to us!
Such a fun topic! I got a set of Tru-Tone lights the first year they made them (I think 2 years ago) and I loooove them! I got the fabric wrapped cord. They are much more expensive now than when I bought my set. I have to budget for next year to get enough strands for my tree plus the new tree topper they make!
Oh my gosh thank you SO much for sharing! It's awesome hearing you love them that makes me more inclined to purchase them. And I agree their new tree topper is SO cute 🎄
If this tells you anything, I bought $400 worth of Tru-Tone lights last year and placed an early bird order in July (2023) for another $120 worth of C-7 bulbs that should be shipping anytime. Without a doubt, if you like the vintage incandescent lights, you will absolutely love Tru-Tones. Possibly this season you'll be able to order a set. I'd suggest ordering a box of 25 standard lights if you want to try them out. Their site should be reopening soon to take orders for this coming holiday season. Any as anyone who's a past customer or watched their site "thinking about" purchasing some knows, they usually sell out of inventory each season.
How dangerous ae the old c10s really? I fund a BUNCH in my attic and would love to use them outside. Even with a dimmer, they're a hazard? I mean we used them every year growing up in the 80s and 90s... and I just can't afford the trutones sadly.
@@natalie8212 The danger is in the older bulbs that burn really hot, especially when used indoors and on natural trees that eventually dry out. I used modern cool burning incandescent C-7's and C-9's inside on my trees and around doorways for years. They aren't dangerous, I just wanted the even cooler burning and HUGELY more energy efficient Tru-Tones to replace them. If you're using them outdoors they shouldn't be a problem......BTW, I don't know what a C10 is?
Who would have thought my mom's Christmas ornaments would be so popular and they are in the original boxes. Love the Santa mugs 😊

Yes!
Childhood memory unlocked!! The pinecone elves!! I remember those as a kid. I wonder if we still have them somewhere

My jaw dropped when you pulled out that mini winking Santa 😍
And dropped AGAIN when I heard the price you paid for that gorgeous box of Shiny Brites 😲

You can buy the Noma reproduction lights here in Canada!!
Whaaaaaat?! Now I have to look those up! Do they have them in stores or online? I’m in Michigan so I’m just a car ride away from Canada 🇨🇦😂
Oma and Opa? Are you in Pennsylvania? Love your videos - just discovered them!
German titles for grandma and Grandpa.
Thanks for sharing.
