    I love handmade soft sculpture santas and snowmen they've gotten so expensive now to buy what with the time it takes to make them so glad I've been buying them for probably 30 years now my collection is fabulous! I have been obsessed with collecting vintage and antique Christmas for many years.

    As a child now I feel priced out of many items but every now and then get super Lucky and find a lovely 1950s blow mold for a buck 50

      If you’re ever in Belvidere, New Jersey - check out my shop … we are very reasonably priced because we want people to enjoy the things we sell - not just see them on display at an overpriced shop 😉

    Your choices were spot on. I found myself saying yes to everyone. I would add one more deers. Deers are a huge part of my decor. Whether they are statues, ornaments used in domes, planters or stuffed. I just love them. I love all colors but the 50’s with the pink, red, teal and even lime green. But what a great video to show my nieces about all that make Christmas and family come together. Thanks

      Thank you Sheila! I appreciate you watching and I’m glad you enjoyed it… and yes - deer would have been a good addition to the list! The bright colored ones from the 50’s were a lot of fun… thanks again for watching and have a great Christmas! 💕

    What an interesting video. I know how popular vintage items are now and this was very informative. I remember so many of these as a child. The ceramic tree was always brought out along with a plastic tree that we stuck gumdrops on the tips of the branches. I loved that plastic tree because we children got to stick the gumdrops on. Great video.

    I have a 1990 12 days of CMAS tin. In it I have the 12 days of CMAS Hallmark ornaments. I love it. I collect some vintage CMAS but my favorites are my vintage and antique ornaments on my CMAS tree. It is very unusual.

      I’m not sure if it’s just east coast🤔… I think Anthropologie had them last year - probably close to a million dollars a wreath hahaha … the ones featured in this video, one of my vendors actually made and sold out of them! They were a hit but they do take a lot of time to make … thank you for watching!!

    Hi from Montreal,
    I enjoyed your report although I don't collect most of the items you featured. My favs are glass ornaments - particularly older ones. This year I broke one of my glass ornaments... the only one of its kind that i had. Can you recommend the best way to repair (even partially) such ornaments? Particularly what kind of glue?
    I look forward to passing by, hopefully this summer!
    Thanks for a nice presentation!
    Catherine

    • @TheCellarDoorAntiqueMarket
      @TheCellarDoorAntiqueMarket  Год назад +1

      Thank you so much for watching Catherine! I am a huge fan of vintage glass ornaments also! Ugh I’m sorry to hear one of your favorites broke! Having three kids, I usually have one Christmas decor ‘casualty’ every year … 😭
      I find super glue compatible with glass works best - I like gorilla glue in the blue top bottle the most for those types of projects…
      If all else fails and the ornament is just too far gone, maybe find a small clear glass ornaments that you can put the pieces of the broken ornament inside - add some glitter and a small family photo in it as well… thanks again so much for watching! I’ve been off RUclips for over 2 months and I am trying to get back to making more content so I appreciate your message today!

    Any additional info on the Christmas glasses? My mom has a ton, but I worry that they may be like her other glassware and have lead paint.

    • @TheCellarDoorAntiqueMarket
      @TheCellarDoorAntiqueMarket  Год назад +2

      I know - it stinks some of them do have high levels of lead… there is a test kit you can purchase off of Amazon that can tell you the lead levels in any type of
      glassware or pottery… maybe I’ll do a video about that in the near future 🤔
      Thank you for watching!!

    One of my regular pet peeves: People calling all species of evergreen cones, PINEcones.
    You show Spruce cones, Fir cones, Hemlock cones, Cedar cones, Juniper cones, and Pine cones, and call all of them Pine. Its like saying "A bowl full of Apples", while showing a bowl full of mixed fruits of every kind; oranges, pears, grapes, plums, bananas, - and apples.
