By far one of if not THE greatest G shock that I own. The backlight is the best I have ever seen on a G shock! Legit as bright as a flashlight!
The best watch Casio makes. Possibly the best tool watch on the market.
Even if all sync technologies failed.. Casio will still keep +-15 sec per month which awaseome...
This is the best looking master of G.
Using Bluetooth you don’t get “your phone time” or “internet time” The app will sync the atomic time using a casio server for this purpose.
I bought this watch in this color on a whim a week ago (August 2019) in Tokyo. Was out shopping with wifey in second hand stores. One store had this in very good used condition (I'm a clumsy guy and smash watches up anyway so second hand is no issue to me).
Anyway, just by coincidence I saw it in the watch section in the store and was hooked. Thought about it for a while, then got back to the store and bought it even though I didn't really need it.
I feel great about my purchase, the looks of this watch alone made me want to have it. Extremely complicated but I use the app for settings.

I have the same watch shown and it looks like it was dragged behind a car for 50 miles and still works perfect and no scratches on crystal......

I have this watch and love it. Major issue is with the Bluetooth functionality. Once the app is connected to the phone it is meant to update the time every six hours. Works fine until i turn Bluetooth off on the phone and then switch it back on (flight mode). The watch will then not be updated any more by the app until i unpair and re pair the watch. I have sent this in to the Casio agent who cannot sort out this issue. Very Frustrating that one of the features i like does not work
Warren Peffer thats not a issue if you want to update with your phone you must connect your watch every time is how it works
just take yourself some time to figure the functions out then review it pls.

Its nice, but. I still prefer the last model and overall I prefer the chunkier look of the older model. Loved getting off the plane in New York and watching it do its own thing via GPS to set the time from UTC to the current time in New York.

Great to get one of these new recently, not much new stock left. I liked the look of the 1000 a tad better, but the newer technology on this makes it a wash. New stock of the 1000 seems to have dried up anyways.
I love mine except the buckle where it connects to the strap broke and the replacement band is $150. Pretty steep but the watch is nice otherwise.

Hi How much memory does the watch hold, what I mean is how many logs can it keep before you sync with bluetooth on your phone?

Great review but, out of curiosity, it's the second review for this model and I've noticed that the small 24 hour hand is not marking either the home or world time. Why is that?
The second timezone appears to be reading 9:41 no? Time of watch in video is 2:41, seems to be working.
There should be a version of this with just Bluetooth sync, minus the GPS and atomic time , at a price of around $300.

Last week after watching your video I went to the Casio store near my area to check this watch but I find it too big for my wrist. Then I saw the old model of the gravity master the GWA-1100-1A (2013 model) and it is being sold to the equivalent of 390 USD its not too big for my wrist and Im kinda interested. May I ask would you recommend me buying that watch or do you think its already too old and outdated?? Awaiting for your kind advice/reply thanks in advance..

Why do they insist on the extension of the minute hand covering the hour hand when they align? Reduces legibility. Surely the hour hand should be on top as the minute hand is much longer so won’t get into the way as much. Poor design.

If you want just something that tells the time, just buy a watch at Wal-Mart for $9.99. Yes this watch has all these cool features, durability, and good looks. But, how many normal everyday people out there are "really" going to need or use all those features except for the auto time update when traveling??

Which Citizen? I can't find a Citizen Satellite for less than $1,100. This can be found from authorized dealers for $640.

Not to mention the Casio brand. Smartwatch is the future, this kind of traditional watch even how many technology put in it, it'll be extinct in a few years.
To be honest, I don´t see any point to buy smartwatch for 1000$ that will last 1-3 years at most. Then it´s time to get a new one. Quality watch, be it quartz, auto/manual, will last a decade or even 100 years. They will still be beautiful and sexy 20 years from now.
Anyhow, I don´t see any point in smart watch at all. "not to pull out my phone".. I´d rather pull out my phone, than tap on a tiny screen. It´s easier for me.
Smartwatches are the future for those who wants a piece of non durable technology, it's not for those who likes watches or does real work in hard conditions!.
MrVricolaks lol, no one wear a watch for 100 years & yep they are expensive because the technologies are new. There will be a lot of new features & functions because it's use a display rather than a segment LCD or a complicated analog dial, those kind of watches are hard to use. People nowadays likes something easy to use, that is why a smartwatch invented.
The Eternal in the meantime there will be a durable smartwatch, it's technology is unlimited this traditional kind of watch combining an ancient technology and feature in it was a huge step backwards.
Smart watched is "invented" so companies can make more money out of dumb people. I haven´t met a single person that can justify functions provided by smartwatch worth their price. Not even half the price. It´s a hyped up gimmick and nothing more.
99% is "so you don´t have to take ur phone out" in scenarios that not really relevant. Like "adjusting volume of song" or "answering a call with headphones connected". Well, all my headphones got volume control and pause/play/answer button. I have muted all irrelevant notifications and then one I get - i want to see properly and answer/take actions (for that, I would need to take my phone out).
I´m sure there are few people in the world that really appreciate smartwatch for their functionality. Few in the world. Most people - idiots that get caught in a hype.
I love my Casio that doesn't look like a try hard. This one is a real shitter!
