I have one since May 2015. It is the most robust and exact watch I have. It replaced my Rolex GMT Master II when I am traveling in other time zones. The beauty of it is that only few watch enthusiasts will recognize what it is and the rest only notices g-Shock. Leaving flight mode when stepping out of the airport and expose it to clear sky and it will find the time zone by GPS reception. Brilliant 👌🏽😊
I also wanna get one 😎
Your still wear one?
@@hathaway.1166 no, I Sold it last year. My travel was no longe in different time zones and so I had no need for it anymore.
People are questioning the validity of the price of these watches. I suppose it depends on how much you like the look of it. The solar powered and automatic timekeeping, are both invaluable properties. I have a twelve year old beater solar wave-captor, and it still runs on its original battery. I liked it so much I bought a better solar wave-captor. ... Am still baulking at the price of these though. ... I suppose it depends on how long the battery, and the movement will last. Otherwise, you will never have to have it serviced, and never have to open it for a new battery. It will always tell you the right time. (One night of charging in front of a low energy light bulb, will last six months.) Last thing to consider is that you will never break it, if you drop it.
Resin cases are prone to scuffs. This one is excellent. Its nice to see that Casio is hearing out its customers.
i have last years model and its an awesome watch.
titmusspaultpaul5
Which model sir.
MT-G
I've got an Omega sat waiting for its battery to be changed, does not look as good as this watch, i'm considering getting this.
I love mine. The watch has a hand adjust function. So perfect alignment is easy to obtain this being said I've never had to use in the 14 months I've owned. My every day watch is the Pro Trek 7000 but this is my favorite watch to date and I have a small collection of 8. Five G-Shocks a Pro- Trec, a Noblia, and an Armor lite.
Hand adjustment???
Difference between the MT-G, and MR-G. ...... MT-G uses wave-captor (Covers Europe, US, Japan, and China). Some MT-G include global positioning. .. MR-G uses wave-ceptor, and GPS. GPS setting is used to regulate watch's time-zone, and to set the time where no radio wave-captor signal is present. ............. I think all MRG are made of titanium. Whereas MT-G are made of steel.
@ Green Bow : your GPS difference claim is wrong. The first MTG-S1000 have wave captor, the MTG-G1000 have wave captor and GPS. You are referring to the MTG-S1000D series. Google MTG-G1000D series (with GPS) ruclips.net/video/A_zmm5HEWVw/видео.html

amazing atomic watch! Mr. G gets so much more attention than others in my collection with 3 to 4 times more in price. you guys should be aware of the fact that there aren't that many brands out there with cult following. Besides Rolex, Panerai, Seiko, what other mainstream brands have die hard fans? Casio watches tend to retain their value pretty good even better than modern Rolex!
I have Edifice EQB 700 and it's main advantage is its adjustment via BlueTooth. Overall, this works so well I would never buy any other watch without it because I just cannot remember all the buttons adjusting this or that. I also get an exact time synch via the network time and am within 2 seconds of the subway train time. Now, the real reason I could not get MR-G 1000 is its references to "Global." I know the earth is flat and I would gladly pay 3k for top of the line Edifice EQB 600, which has the Azimuthal Projection right on the watch. Just add the solar charge indicator (like the 700 has), the rounded dome crystal (like the 700 has) -- and I am all in. Oh, the day time hand should be non-linear indicating the solar day. In other words, make this hand enter the day portion at sunrise, reach straight up vertical at noon, and go to the dark side at sunset. Do this for the local time (not the world time like on the 600, which I also have). Make the ocean-land contrast better than on the present 600. Finally, both the 600 and the 700 are great traveling watches because most flights today are one-stop flights. The first destination is your "world" city and when you get there you make it your local time with one push of a button. (Watch handles day of the week and the day of the month change just fine.) Now, if you continue on to the next city, use your phone to set your new "world" time -- and you are ready to make it your local time with one button push when there. I'm happy with my Edifice watches.
"I know the earth is flat" 😂😂😂
Always loved the Casio brand and have a dozen of their watches but these high end models are way too expensive.
Wish I had one tho
Wow it just looks so cool the red one especially
Actually the street price is not that expensive, just bought the sis version MRG-G1000D-1A, only cost around 1.6K, even for MRG-G1000B-1A the price here is less than 1.9K
The sec hand doesn't seemed to be aligned to the markers. Such a shame.
and after he showed off that fancy video of Casio's assembly lab and their special station for perfectly aligning hands it especially seems odd.
😀 haa, That was the first thing i noticed,
I've seen Swiss quartz watches hands not align with the markers, and the primary reason why I invest in automatics instead of an expensive quartz.
It can be re-aligned by a function provided to the user.
Could be because it's a prototype, but I'm not sure
It's only rival is the Seiko Astron... Far more impressed by the latest MRG series
Not only the seiko astron you should check citizen gps line!
I prefer the MTG for less than 1/3 of the price.
For a watch made to tell the exact time, I'd find it hard to actually read the exact time off it. The minute markers aren't very clear
In a watch this expensive I would at least expect the second hand to hit the markers correctly. Also, and this is just me personally, I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a Casio. I have no trouble spending that money on a good automatic watch but with a casio my limit is around 500-600 bucks.
I like Casio watches just for fun. I've paid well over 3k for watches in the past but I really can't see myself paying more than like $800 for something Casio.. and then it better be really nice.. The watch was nice from what I saw but still 3 grand?
A Rolex has nowhere near the features or durability.
I still don’t know what type of movement it actually is!
Yes it solar powered, but is it a Quartz movement (under the skin!) ? Or maybe not?
Please explain ....
I like it!
i thought this was bit over priced with very less resale value so ended up purchasing MTG kikou Ibe edition .
Is that a mid-size MR-G? Does mid-size MR-G exist?
does it set the time automatically? My 6 band g-shock doesn't... I thought I will get an automatic update on mine.
it should set the time automatically. my 6 band g-shock syncs every night at 3 AM
@@TheDesius my 6 band g-shock never syncs.. I live in st. louis. where do you live?
@@americanexpress888 in the netherlands
you can manually sync it if you go to the sync menu and hold the sync button.
maybe it is not getting a signal on your location. mine hasn't synced in 3 days because it couldn't get a signal but usually it manages to get a signal almost every day.
@Robin B, if your wave-captor does not receive, try it in different places, like away from anything metal. E.g. my wave-ceptors will not sinc, if I place them under my PC monitor.
The Casio MR-G has GPD sync too though. If it fails to sinc by multi-band 6, it will go into an automatic attempt at GPS sinc. However I would use manual GPS sinc because it needs to be held steady when doing that.
Otro MR-G con la manecilla de los segundos No Alineada con los Indicadores Indices.. mostrando un gran desfase, lastima porque el reloj es Precioso pero para lo que cuesta debería ir Perfecto
Yo devolví 4 modelos por ese problema
For 8 THOUSAND $$$ you think the hands would align perfect with the markers on the watch right in the middle? How is it off? It makes it look like a cheap watch
They don't get more accurate than this
Citizen - Hold my beer.
I had an Omega quartz once that only gained half a second a month. This Casio gains +/- half second a day, but corrects it every day. Awesome watch. Doesn't feel that big, once you get used to it.
Green Bow how do u how much it gains or not?
@@silverghost4206 oh thanks
Beautiful watch. I would have one if I won the lottery. 😁
The gshock version if the casio edfice...
Where can I see where the high end g-shocks are made?
Um.........youtube maybe?
I bought one of these watches about a year ago. I have watch collections. I kept it in the box for about a year and now that I took it out today it’s not working it was a brand new watch when I bought it. Would you have any ideas why it’s not working?
william simin just put it undet sunlight for a few hours and it will charge
😂 is that a serious question?
The only analog Casio i ever considered, but it's just too big (thickness)
Beautiful watch, but way too much of a price.
a digery doo.. anyone know if i can find one for like 1500? has to be this color!
Have to say 3000 is ridiculous think of what could be had at this range
Tudor Pelagos. Yes please.
Funny thing to say on a G-shock review. By definition, no Omega Rolex fan should even bother watching...
But for G-shock fans, the price is perfectly justified, in the Seiko Astron league. Just consider the materials, the tech, the fit and finish... There is not much to be compared with... It's a niche market.
Christophe Chardon that's true I purchased a $50 g shock which I now consider to be a waste of money
@@ChristopheChardon Nothing wrong with an Omega and a Casio G-Shock.
3000 bucks for an un-servicable G Shock???
3000 dollars for a Casio G-shock. Think of all the nice watches one can buy for 3000 dollars.....
Yeah, this one.
Super luxury mature persons G-Shock
Some Can tell me to use alarm on MTG ?????
Intriguing, but priced way too high for me. Seiko has done a much better job showing they can make watches worthy of such a price tag.
Japan should replace HK with TW for Taiwan.
3000$ dollars for a watch with a wristband like that is ridiculous.
US $3000 for a watch that looks like a Korean boombox from the 1980s? Good luck with that.
@sickasso72 to each its own, to me the seiko prospex is a boring watch, same like any rolex, sure it might be a good quality watch, but that doesn't make it nice looking...
You need to see one in the flesh.
please subtitle in spanish
SMH, $3k for a G-Shock
wow
Digital digerrydo
I'm better off sticking with my cheap ass mrw 200h
$3k for a Casio?🤣🤣🤭
You think that's alot, there are Casio models that retail for $7,500.00
Lol.. People pay tens of millions for watches that is not as accurate as those digital watches.. So who is laughing who..
There’s actually nothing different from this and most high end g shocks. Only case and band materials.
Three grand for a Casio!! a Quartz, battery powered CASIO?? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well patek philippe or other luxury brands don't have alot of features that Casio has.. So don't laugh.. And people just paying millions on those so called branded Swiss watches
Honestly, you need to see one. I own a Glashutte Original and I find the quality on the MR G every bit as good as my GO, which is exceptional.
Stop starting your videos with “please like and subscribe to this video”. Its extremely annoying. People who want to subscribe will subscribe they don’t need you to say it.
Fuck this - go buy a Tudor Pelagos with mechanical in-house movement for $3000 - a watch that is 1000 x better.
If I need a knuckle duster, I'll buy a knuckle duster.
Thank you, Mr. Spock, I didn't realize that.
Presumably a regular $300 G-Shock can withstand all those things you mentioned as well?
This vid is a pathetic waste of time, skip it if you can
Hate to state this; I would rather have an iwatch...this thing looks atrocious!
Taste is subjective.
An iwatch (I assume you mean an apple watch) is just an electronic device, which happens to tell the time. There is simply no comparison to a MR-G or any other premium wrist watch. They're different devices for different purposes.
@@tylerama Hey, don't contradict yourself...Apple WATCH and then go on to state electronic device...it's worn on the wrist and it tells the time, digitally...still a watch!
Even if you stated, notification device...that MR- G would be guilty as well...bet, it has an alarm function!
"Happens," to tell the time...that was cute!
You might make a good politician... someday!
@@idid1866 Ok then, 'Apple electronic device which is worn on the wrist and tells the time amongst a myriad of other functions'. Quite obviously I stated 'Apple watch' because that is the products name and I was stating that I made an assumption that was what you were referring to, as you quoted 'iwatch'.
The MR-G doesn't show notifications, only the time and the day/date. You appear to be an Apple fan and great for you - but to try bagging out a high end watch over an apple 'watch' is laughable. What makes it looks 'atrocious' to you ?
@@tylerama Nope, you assume too much...I don't like the Apple Watch, at all! You calling this MR-G Luxury, is dubious and really the only thing laughable!
