Lol. I’m South African and I met a Mexican girl a couple years ago. She asked a group of us what we thought Mexico looked like, and despite all of us knowing better, we all answered “orange and dusty” 😂. As people who are very aware of incorrect tropes, you would think we wouldn’t have fallen for this one so easily!
I'm not Mexican, but I've been to different regions of Mexico and it honestly saddens me that people don't know how geographically diverse the country is. I've been to a couple of villages on the Texas border near the gulf. The villages are arid and dry, but so are the towns across the river in Texas. The villages in Mexico, in my opinion, were much more beautiful, sophisticated, and fun to be in. I've also been in southern Mexico down the coastline of Quintana Roo, and it couldn't be more different. The area is filled with dense jungle when you're outside the cities, they have lush flora and fauna, and so much green that it almost hurts your eyes! Between the cities are many Mayan ruins that are older than almost any other stuctures in the Western Hemisphere. Southen Mexico is also the first time I've ever seen a big cat in the wild (a jaguar). And those are just two regions of Mexico. Theres so much else to talk about in that beautiful country, and I hope to see some more of it someday!
I'm American/French and live in Mexico for work (my husband is from mexico city tho). Tbf its fr dusty here. I mean theres huge dunes like an 1 hour away and during qindstorms Everything's coates in a thick layer of dirt. I've traveled to a lot of places and to me it Mexico has the same feel like a lot of places in Asia. Ah except no jungles lol. The people working within and building strong communities is super important in Mexico. My husband and in-laws are Mexico and live near us. When i got sick everyone at my husbands job gave us tons of food and his family came to help. Theres a much closer feeling here than in America tbh. As a kid when I'd see them Near the Louvre or lost, I'd tell them where the Japanese quarter is so they could take the line there to get some food and/or help.

See when Maria kept saying "Sorry for my English, not so good" in her letter I thought that was Nick making fun of how racist of a portrayal of a Mexican person but then I realized that was ACTUALLY THE DIALOGUE FROM THE MOVIE!

The stupidest part about this is that they would be all excited about getting to "convert" a special occasions christian into an every week christian and would be patting themselves on the back for it for the rest of their lives. They wouldn't chase her off.
My favorite thing is when he pulls out the Christianity for dummys book like its drugs. For shame!! But yeah, I grew up in evangelical purity culture church. They would've swarmed around her and indoctrinated her asap. But I'm sure the mom would still talk down to her like "Im the superior Christian, cause Ive been Christian longer".
Exactly. She comes from a Christian background and is clearly interested in learning more about it, even if it's just to get hitched (which honestly is messed up in itself, but whatever). Yet they all treat her like a pariah for not being a "True Christian" of some arbitrary tier system. Like "You're a Level 3 Christian who only prays before a meal when reminded to. Susan here is a Level 10 Christian who prays before every meal, every snack, and before brushing her teeth. You need to step your game up!"
Tbh most of the "in your face, self righteous, holier than thou" Christians I *personally* know ARE the special occasion/when it's convenient Christians. Like sis why is it bad for the gays to get married but it's not bad for you to get railed by a whole group of friends while your boyfriend is at home wondering about you? 😩 Make it make sense
My jaw literally dropped hearing Maria’s letter. It’s genuinely so racist that I’m shocked because the racism so far has been uncomfortable tone deafness but DAMN. They know plenty of Mexicans speak English, right? I hate to sound like a Republican, but you’re in Mexico, speak Spanish (or English because they speak English there also)
Don't worry, you don't sound like a Republican; they'd say "speak English in America, and speak English in Mexico, and speak English everywhere else, stop asking me to learn things that's communism and also reverse racist"
I love the recurring theme in Christian movies that's like "never judge someone based on appearances! (bc anyone could actually be Christian and that's the only reason)" but instead of like a young adult with pink hair and a leather jacket it's just like... a black woman
Yeah but not *too* black - we can't be getting that wild and willy-nilly up in here with our diversification of straight white Christianity. (I'm joking, don't come for me)
As a Mexican...i can tell you the last thing people need is a church 😂😂 there are a dime a dozen. And they would be asking for a catholic church, not christian (i know it's almost the same, but still)
Catholic is under the Christian umbrella. Christian is kind of a blanket term for literally hundreds of different beliefs that all revolve around the same god. Technically speaking, Mormons and JWs are also Christians.
She even kissed a dead hedgehog, too, and eventually married a chimpanzee while filming a raunchy Discovery Documentary. And don’t get me started on her rhinoplasty accidents😅
It's actually very common for Christians to go to countries and try to convert people under the guise of teaching English. I encountered it here in Hungary too.
A lot of missionaries are very disingenuous in their dealings in foreign countries disguising their motives behind something else, but then missionaries have pretty much always been the first wave of an invasion force.
@@NelsonStJames It's not just missionaries. In my high school in the 90s here in Hungary we had a couple of American teachers teaching English. I'm not sure what organisation they came with. They had a "Student Night" every Wednesday with games and American snacks and Bible teaching. I grew up atheist, so I knew nothing about the Bible. I actually failed a test for Literature class about the Bible. I went because I wanted to speak to Americans, as it gave me an opportunity to communicate in English and practice. I was interested in learning about the Bible because I'm the type of person who when notices a gap in their knowledge, I just have to remedy that. However, I did notice that there were definite attempts at converting the students to Christianity. It was also the first time I saw people pray IRL before eating. It was weird. Anyway, the school must have caught wind of it, because a few years in they gave a separate time for Bible study and a later time for just playing and stuff. I'm still an atheist.
I dunno, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one since in several countries it is still punishable by death to evangelize. But yeah when comes to Mexico (which is largely Catholic) it is uncalled for.
It's such bizarre character motivation to have Gwen immediately jump to faking her religiosity and signing up for Christian Mingle in her hunt for a husband. It would have made more sense story-wise *and* been a better advertisement for CM if we first got a montage of her trying non-Christian sites and going on dates with men who were jerks looking for hook-ups, before deciding that the way to find a nice man who wanted marriage was to use Christian Mingle.
I’ll never understand why Christians think any language other than English is like the devils language so they must teach everyone English. It’s up there with believing that writing with the left hand is a one way ticket to hell so everyone must write with the right hand (creating PTSD in many. One being my mom.)
Because there's a strong basis of ⚪ supremacy within European descended Christianity. Doubly so for any children of the English. We see this especially now with the rise of ⚪ --Christian-- Nationalism in the US and the UK at this time.
The leading man is so unremarkable that when he showed up at the end I was genuinely like "who is that?" And was convinced he was a different character 😅 Edit: also great Britney shirt
The food service worker in me got heart palpitations at seeing completely uncovered, accessible cakes. The health dept would totally shut this place down and force everyone to take the Safe Food Handling course again.
Also, just in a customer perspective, I don't want to have both at the same time! The heat from the steaks would make the cake warm and melty, and it takes some time to eat a main meal, especially meat. I personally like my cakes pretty fresh from the fridge, except if it's a lava cake or something similar. And the smell of sugar while eating steak doesn't appeal to me at all.
And would it kill them to include some potatoes or carrots or something? Do they literally _only_ serve steak and cake? I didn't even notice other drinks besides water
Heather Locklear's hair is all that matters. And Nick better keep those fiery peanut shell shrapnel farts away from that architectural masterwork of all that is Blonde.
I’m half way through the video, but this movie could already have been fixed if Gwen was an article writer for a magazine or whatever and was given a piece to write about online dating instead of being a marketer with a random project that doesn’t fit into the plot.
The most ironic thing about the Christianity for Dummies book btw is that it would be a GREAT book to use for teaching people about it. The simplest explanation is always to make it clear that it's about them and trying to see Christianity from an outside perspective to teach others; the funny thing is that you'd have to be empathetic to do that which is something no missionaries are. At all. I am a missionary kid and I grew up prostleyzing. There is nothing about it that is good. It's pure evil eurocentric cultural destruction.
Right?! Or even just claim to be using it as a resource for yourself to “grow deeper in your faith” or whatever. They reacted like she had a book titled “How to fake being a Christian” 😂
Lol, they acted like she had a copy of the Satanic Bible in her bag! Also, why would any kid think that book would be important enough to show it to an adult? Especially since this movie wants us to believe none of these kids can speak English, so how can they read it? As a former teacher, I've used a couple "for Dummies" books to help me to get down to the basics of a subject so that I'm better prepared to instruct students in it. I learned a lot, too. It doesn't mean someone is faking knowledge or doesn't know anything about something. She probably knows more about Christianity from that book than all those devote missionary Christians have learned in their entire life. Sorry you were an MK. That sucks.
I'm a PK. Can confirm that even people who had or have empathy will have it pistol whipped out of them by evangelism bc it necessitates "othering" in order to sell the big solution to eternal torture. Honestly... Poison. It'll even poison good people. They will buy and read and watch any trash bc that is what the thing does. They are people that worry that Harry Potter is evil and spent a couple decades super pressed about DND. Watched the most horrific people I've ever met walk in and out of that church. Not a single soul would ever call you out, Gretchen. their head is too far up their own butthole
Since Gretchen in "Mean Girls" was Jewish (she mentions getting earrings for Hanukkah), imagining Gwen as the same character adds an extra layer of colonialism and Christian supremacism to the movie, on top of the layer that was already present
This movie filled my heart with confusion and my once empty womb with a dozen precious moments statues someone left at goodwill after cleaning their dead christian grandmother's house.
They also need to make a film based off of the right stuff a conservative dating site. That site is nothing but a sausage fest and it's hilarious. Nick would tear it apart
Loved the roast about people complaining about how you present. It's none of anyone's business! You look great no matter how you dress or what makeup you do or don't wear (but I'm sure you know that already). People are really out here acting like gender roles have been so rigid and fixed and never changed, just proves how little they know because men used to powder their faces too.
Male celebrities use makeup, so it's still a thing. Pretty much every ancient civilization had their own version of cloth wrapped around the entire body that everyone wore, which today is considered to be a dress. People are super weird and gatekeepy about what people get to wear on their body.
I genuinely don't understand people who get so upset or angry about how somebody else presents and what they wear on/do with their own body, just because it's not to their personal taste. Some folks just love to complain about stuff that's none of their business and doesn't affect them.
How easily influenced is this girl that, instead of going on any other dating app, she went onto the one niche app she knew she shouldn't be on, just because of the ads? Do Bumble & Tinder not exist in this universe or something??
There should've been a scene where she uses any other app, realizes all guys there just want sex, and somehow stumbles onto the Christian site knowing she would find someone there that treats her right. Or idk anything that would explain her decision.
I grew up (survived lol) in an evangelical purity culture church. I went to Mexico and built rooms for orphanages and Church camp. I laughed so hard at him pulling out the Christian for Dummys book like they found drugs. Those people wouldnt have been gatekeeping god. Thats so f-ing weird. My church wld have propped up any newly converted Christian to feel superior to others.
During Nick’s intro, I was thinking how nice it would be if one of these Christian films was actually progressive and inclusive. There are Christians that are pro-choice, LGBT rights, feminist, tolerant of other faiths, etc. They’re not the majority, but they exist. Would be lowkey groundbreaking if it was made.
This kind of stuff does exist, but the problem is that the big Christian media companies are all conservative, so the progressive stuff can't get produced, published, or distributed unless the creator does it all themself. On top of that, when it does still happen somehow, it's too niche for secular (non-Christian) culture to care and mainstream Christian culture (aka Evangelical culture) boycotts the hell out of it.
The issue is that Christian media is made in droves by conservative Christians and produced for people like themselves to keep themselves in an echo chamber. Since these types don't want to look at any secular media, they just look at their own, no matter how bad the quality, which is also why these movies also suck lol.
there is this new campaign in Brazil all over TikTok and instagram, from mostly neo-pentecostal evangelical Christians, called "não falem por mim" (don't speak for me). It's a bunch of women saying how they want to be submissive to their husbands, have children, be housewives, blah blah blah and that they don't need feminism. Essentially that feminists are not speaking for them. It's so baffling... The understanding these people have of feminism is both completely off and also confusing. There is this new wave of reactionaries (I am not going to even call them conservatives. That is too nice of a term for what it is) that is both scaring and fascinating me. Mostly scaring. Also scarring.
maybe it's 'cause i've been reading lots of manga lately, but so sick of the trope of competent woman falling for blah guy and suddenly becoming incompetent and also there's some other woman thrown in because the author couldn't think of anything else lol
Fun fact: the kindly bike guy is Corbin Burnsen-the director of the movie, a consistent actor in Christian movies dating back to the 80’s (including a rapture movie with Mr. T), and most famously WAS THE DAD FROM PSYCH
as someone who only knows him from psych, corbin bernsen never fails to let me down every time i hear that he is in another bonkers christian movie LMAO. henry why
One of my 47 YO coworkers still says his daddy when talking about his dad. I love him and he is the sweetest but everytime I hear him say that my brain has a moment.
Since it’s supposed to be a romantic comedy, they should’ve had her do something nice for someone else, random act of kindness thing (or have someone help her), have them say they’ll pray for her, and have her shrug/laugh it off (either to them or someone else). That would’ve fit into the intro of the movie and given us “she’s nice but kinda meh on religion” at the start.
my dad met his wife on christian mingle LOL they got together in like 2014 and got married in 2018. my stepbrother tried to become a state trooper (he told them he smoked weed once so they rejected him but he definitely had cop vibes) and my step sister accused me of stealing her things simply because i was poor and she hated me. they are finally getting divorced which is the only blessing that ever came from christian mingle 😌 edit: my step mom refused to let me have my childhood cat with me when i lived with them but now that they’re getting divorced my dad is taking the cat 🙏✝️🕊️
I wonder how Lacey managed to look so good still when she’s 40, then you pointed out how long ago this movie had been filmed. Mama was only 33 back in 2015. I can’t believe it took seven years for it to release everywhere. How could they have deprived the world of this cinematic masterpiece??
When I was 25, I was working on my BS in Zoology and a good friend told me if I wanted to get married, I should start wearing more skirts and blouses (my go-to style was t-shirts and jeans). I wasn't sure if I should laugh my ass off or be pissed as hell she had the brass to tell me to change how I dressed to attract men (I was also pissed she'd interpreted "I'm jealous you're going to have a sex life"--because she was getting married and we were both Conservative Christians--to have anything to do with wanting to be married. I'd said more than once I did not want to be married while attending school and I meant it 100%. She had as well, but then her boyfriend proposed and...well...so much for not being married while she was in school. I mean, she was 25! You can't wait forever! /s). I told her exactly what I thought of her suggestion. 😈 I'm still a t-shirt and jeans woman and I'm still single, happily so (I got 99 problems but a man ain't one! 😄). I used to be all, "I need to find a man and get married!", but I got sick of feeling totally invisible to men, feeling like a slab of meat on display when I used dating sites, and being rejected by men. A very few of the men I met--all of the 'Christians'--abused or sexually assaulted me.
It's horrible that you've had those experiences. Honestly though, your friend's logic is so silly--why would you want to attract someone who wouldn't be into the style you actually want to wear?
The main character is a Christian straw man trope. Every church has this idea of the "bad lazy Christian" who doesn't practice the faith as hard as they should but feel guilty about it. It's a genre trope, like every church and denomination has their own straw Christian stereotype to convince themselves that they're a "good" Christian. It helps to kind of guilt ppl into devoting all of their time and energy to the church
And the really frustrating thing about this practice is that Jesus himself looked down on outward gestures or displays of religiosity that were showy but empty in actual impact or meaningfulness towards improving oneself and one's quality of life, or helping to improve others and the quality of their lives. Much of his example surrounded engaging in kindness in a quiet, humble manner that may not be outwardly flashy, but can still be recognizable to someone who understands how true kindness works to shape one's character and improve people's lives. Despite this, people keep circling back towards looking for outward displays of their religion as evidence of devotion to said religion.
The mum being Chandler’s mum from Friends made me so happy, like you may have turned to sky daddy now but we remember that dress from Monica and Chandlers wedding reception miss ma’am
At 10:14 I gasped! Yeah, babies are super slipper when wet. That’s why they normally just sprinkle a little bit of water on the baby’s head when they’re that small being baptized. Did you see that mother’s quick reflexes?!
Oh my god the table at 33:00 The food is all the same colour brown it's honestly impressive, chocolate cake and steak all exactly the same shade of dark brown all at once. Yum.
The minor plot point of the guy following in his fathers footsteps, and him in his fathers footsteps etc. could have provided a really interesting turning point for a very different movie. Like the guy realizes the only reason he is Christian is because he has been told his whole life he has to be, like his father before him, not because he actually believes
WHYYYY are you not a writer, producer, or director yet??? With your critiques, i feel like you could turn any of these aweful movies into something BEYOND worth watching. You are honestly so intelligent and well versed with your video breakdowns. I'm also suprised you aren't at a million subscribers yet. Love you Nick! Keep being awesome!❤❤❤
A few years ago someone I used to know posted that she met her husband on CM . Reading it I spat out my coffee through my nose . He may have been on CM but like they were both married and worked together so how/why would you need to meet on CM ? It’s funny because she was a huge traditional marriage believer 😂 I didn’t call her out but it was hilarious to know that she worked w/ him for four years in the same small company but it took CM to get them both to leave their spouse for each other ?
the audible “YESSS” when you see nick uploaded 🥹🤣💫 life’s been rough lately! so i’ve been solely binging their channel, specifically the twilight series for over a week & a half now (i can’t afford patreon till next month 🥲) so i’m v excited for this one. wishing nick & everyone the best week💗🎉
I wish in the end, when that guy came to Mexico thinking he would win her back, her sexy Mexican boyfriend came walking up. (It would have been even better if they had spoke to each other in Spanish and the christian dude couldn't understand them - showing that he was lying about things too!)
Christianity for Dummies isn't even all that incriminating. Like Bible study is a normal thing so she could've just said she wanted to see what Christianity looks like to outsiders to see if maybe it would help her in her spiritual journey. Considering she's there partially to teach religion to children it makes sense for her to seek a simplified version of religion that she could apply to teaching children. There's a lot of reasons for why she could have that book and even jusy curiosity is a decent exuse. Idk why Ms. Marketing Genius would struggle so hard to think of something.
Ohhhh years ago my mother thought she’d “help” me with my choice of men and put me on CM- the first response I got was quite shocking and not at all the type she thought would be on there 🤣 I still bring up the story to her
I do enjoy it when you critique Christian themed content. Please find more! BTW I enjoyed your rant about Lot's wife and daughters, however only Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt. His daughters survived and got Lot drunk so that they could sleep with him as they thought they needed to repopulate the earth and their dad was the last male. I think they both had sons, so oops.
Tired of the horrible dating scene? Join Christian Mingle to get free gatekeeping and bullying from our devout community who "welcomes everyone!" Uproot your entire life and move to a foreign country after getting dumped twice by the same man, who then bangs his "sister" for a year, just to come back to you when you finally out-Christian her!
I just got dumped and I immediately came home and started watching Nick because it was the only one who could make me smile. I love your videos Nick, you are so great.
I just started the video, but I had to say how cute your eyeliner is! Every time I try and use the white I look like I was disappointed at a elementary school carnival. Yours is perfectly done and suits you, I am equal parts jealous and impressed.
I've literally never met a single American (or human being for that matter) who didn't know what the word "papa" means. Also why did Gwyneth's jaw fall to the floor when the Mexican girl spoke Spanish 😭 they made her so unlikable and don't even realize lmao.
Not relevant at all but finding out that days of our lives was an actual show and not just a fake soap opera on friends was a big moment for me a few years back lol
Do you do all your editing alone Nick? Because I just want to say how much I appreciate your accurate and informative captions on your videos, they are invaluable to people like me with hearing loss issues. You are also one of few creators who is easy to both clearly hear and lipread because of your perfect diction too (that’s what she said 😏). You’d be surprised how few creators edit their captions, and how many do not even activate auto captions (flawed, but better than none).
I'm a Christian, but I never miss any of these videos cause I'm not a regular Christian, I'm a cool Christian... (I wonder how many will get the joke 😊)
This movie : "Wow you can eat anything in France and not gain a pound !" Me, a French person : *agressively remembers that one video of a famous chef preparing crêpes and putting an ungodly amount of butter, cream, sugar and several types of alcohol in the preparation*
My cousin from the USA was living in France for a while to study and he started having health problems because of all the high calorie food he was eating, so yeah XD
I was literally just watching your twilight series love your videos. In the process of getting through the series. I hope you do Harry Potter, hunger games too.
There's a wonderful Christmas episode of Real Housewives of New York which includes a punk band performance that describes exactly this- highly recommend
I think the point in ending the movie with the "escuela" sign was that it's made of driftwood. A very far fetched tie back to the "driftwood moment" thing.
You can just tell that this is the kind of movie where, if you called the people responsible for it out for being racist, they'd respond by telling you that isn't possible because there are black people (or just one black person) in the movie.
I know it wasn’t intentional but the chili dog comment about the love interest is really funny to me considering Lacey Chabert also played Sonic’s love interest in one game and chili dog’s are Sonic’s favorite food and the main thing he is always seen eating
I'm just saying any other dating site make a movie where their client met a partner on their site and then she joined a cult, it's probably a PSA about web safty and a horror movie.
Fun fact: The seafaring Titanic extra that is the boss of the advertising company is Stephen Tobolowsky. He's from Groundhog Day and Freaky Friday. I wonder how much they were paying these actors to be in this movie. 😂
I have been waiting for you to do this movie! It's so bad and as a Christian, it pissed me off how the main character was treated as not a real Christian when all the "real" Christians in the movie were the most un-Christlike characters in the movie. Also, whoever said that you're too much energy with the makeup and all that, just forget those people. You do you however you want because you are amazing! I love you and your channel. My (agnostic) husband and I always cheer when we see a new video from you!
As a Mexican it always cracks me up that American movies often portray Mexico as a dusty Wild West town with an orange filter
There’s a really good movie called the bronze screen about Mexican and South American film makers. They talked about this technique. It’s really good.
@@h3art_3y3she visuals we absorb throughout our lives do leave an imprint, even when we know intellectually that movies aren't 'real life.'

The actress playing the Mexican girl has the thickest American accent when speaking Spanish and I snorted coffee out my nose when she talked.
“Her faith was shaken, not stirred” is poetry
I’ll never understand why Christians think any language other than English is like the devils language so they must teach everyone English. It’s up there with believing that writing with the left hand is a one way ticket to hell so everyone must write with the right hand (creating PTSD in many. One being my mom.)
Because there's a strong basis of ⚪ supremacy within European descended Christianity.

That sucks.

Progressive and inclusive Christians don't feel the need to separate themselves from the rest of the world.
there is this new campaign in Brazil all over TikTok and instagram, from mostly neo-pentecostal evangelical Christians, called "não falem por mim" (don't speak for me).

Right? Everyone should be able to practice how they want. It's not some other person's job to look down on them. Focus on your own shit.

You’d be surprised how few creators edit their captions, and how many do not even activate auto captions (flawed, but better than none).
I'm a Christian, but I never miss any of these videos cause I'm not a regular Christian, I'm a cool Christian...
(I wonder how many will get the joke 😊)
I tell my teen girls that I'm not a regular mom on a weekly basis. They don't appreciate it nearly enough.
Me it's from Mean Girls. :)
I’m cool mom
JESUS, MAN!
my day is always better when nick posts!! 😊❤
my heart!
The cut to her date at around 7 minutes in was a jumpscare. There is something very uncanny valley about him.
I thought so too. I thought maybe AI
I for one love the extra makeup, slay gender neutral monarch
This movie : "Wow you can eat anything in France and not gain a pound !"
Me, a French person : *agressively remembers that one video of a famous chef preparing crêpes and putting an ungodly amount of butter, cream, sugar and several types of alcohol in the preparation*
My cousin from the USA was living in France for a while to study and he started having health problems because of all the high calorie food he was eating, so yeah XD
“…You’re dressed for a choir concert.”
Is the most unassuming, but soul-cutting insult I’ve ever heard!
it feels like they tried to make her a manic pixie dream girl but missed the mark drastically
I’m so sorry, Nick, but my chronic diarrhea and abdominal pains has actually given me the right to refer to my stomach as tummy. It’s all I have
You get a pass (pun somewhat intended), as long as you don't also include 'potty' in your everyday vocabulary
I always love how Nick’s suggestions for scenes and lines that would have been better are always SO good and clever
I was literally just watching your twilight series love your videos. In the process of getting through the series. I hope you do Harry Potter, hunger games too.
ooh thank you so much! and those are great ideassss forgot about HP!
Yes because there is a new Hunger Games coming soon too!
@@NickDiRamioTVcan’t wait to hear you tear JK Terfing apart
"Skullf*cked by Santa" sounds like a death metal band that only covers Christmas songs
There's a wonderful Christmas episode of Real Housewives of New York which includes a punk band performance that describes exactly this- highly recommend
Embarrassingly, I've seen this movie and had completely blocked it out until now
I think the point in ending the movie with the "escuela" sign was that it's made of driftwood. A very far fetched tie back to the "driftwood moment" thing.
I literally died 🤣 at the part where Nick responded to maria's letter. That part cracked me up!! Nick is so brutal it's hilarious.
Agreed! I had to watch it three times lol.
"Your brother in Christ,
-Glory Hole"
😊
“Smiling with his too many teeth” lmfao - this is one of your very best Nic! Well done
I was drinking and the Maria letter came up and i SPLASHED KOMBUCHA INTO MY EYE
"Just Do It Normal" needs to be a new series 😂😂😂
A bunch of shorts!
You can just tell that this is the kind of movie where, if you called the people responsible for it out for being racist, they'd respond by telling you that isn't possible because there are black people (or just one black person) in the movie.
Please, PLEASE add merch featuring your "Just Do It Normal" black-and-white still. That's just money in the bank.
Dammit Nick - I’m getting ready to go to bed and THIS is when you decide to post a new video? I’ve already popped my melatonin 💤
Relatable.
Omg I love to watch this movie, it’s so bad. Thank you for reviewing it, I can’t wait to watch!
yayyy i love that youve seen this one!
I know it wasn’t intentional but the chili dog comment about the love interest is really funny to me considering Lacey Chabert also played Sonic’s love interest in one game and chili dog’s are Sonic’s favorite food and the main thing he is always seen eating
Nick has the color shifting thing in the background specifically for me and my adhd brain.
I'm just saying any other dating site make a movie where their client met a partner on their site and then she joined a cult, it's probably a PSA about web safty and a horror movie.
This is also a horror movie, but I mean like they will MEAN for it to be a horror movie.
Fun fact: The seafaring Titanic extra that is the boss of the advertising company is Stephen Tobolowsky. He's from Groundhog Day and Freaky Friday. I wonder how much they were paying these actors to be in this movie. 😂
He also played Sandy Ryerson in Glee. 😆
I was trying to figure out where I knew him from!
From what i read lacey chabert gets 1.4 million a movie
“Have you met R. Kelly” 😂 I’m dying
Why is the dating site called “Christian Mingle”? “Mingling” isn’t quite building lasting, marriage-goal serious relationships.
Maybe someone named it Single Mingle, and whoever renamed it didn't get the rhyme...
