- Helping to solve mysteries is the passion of the members of Sunshine State Sonar, a St. Petersburg-based search team that uses sonar technology to find vehicles, boats, or missing persons under water.
Its amazing how many previously missing people are being found in cars submerged in bodies of water. These volunteer dive groups are awesome for providing closure to so many families.
What's amazing is that the state doesn't do this work on their own.
Yeah there needs to be some kind of zombie squad or something
Yes they adventures with purpose found 10tennagers that had disssappeared a decade ago. Boy Erin foster and jermay Bissell was found inside it. This brought closer to their families
What's sad is that so many people die after accidentally driving into a body of water. It's not hard to escape the car at all, you just have to move quickly and be thinking clearly.
These sonar guys are true heros
Definitely 💯
Sunshine State Sonar is a great dive team ! Thankyou for bringing these people home. Keep up the great work! Stay safe and God Bless!❤❤❤
These guys with Sunshine State Sonar are really kicking butt with what they are doing. ❤❤😊👍👍 GREAT JOB GUYS
Wow, its highly underestimated how much these incidents have happened to missing people 😢

Maybe they need to start putting barriers around these retention ponds at least where it connects to a road. I’m hearing about so many of these cases.

They do in most places, there is just a lot of canals especially along roads down here

Believe it or not, underwater accidental discoveries are pretty common. And just consider what's at the bottom of the oceans! Think about how little of everything has been explored, and also... how cartels and high-roller criminals dispose of... waste. ;)
It's hundreds of bodies in canals all over South Florida
For sure
Excellent group! I do not know how they are funded but their activity is a major help to law enforcement and the families of these poor people!
In many of these videos, the cops get pissed off at the volunteer groups that go out and do this. Its a really weird response.
Just another reason that shows how useless cops are.
Bc the police have to do actual work and nost bust teens for smoking pot

because it means more work for them.
Takes balls to dive into those dangerous Florida waters🐊💀💯
Sure does, I wouldn't do it.
Especially in Sunrise/Sawgrass !!! it’s literally used to be an extension of the everglades before they put a mall on top of it
If someone goes missing along with their WHOLE car.
Odds are that at the bottom of some water.
If these amateur divers can find all of these people, Then it’s clear the local police dive teams, really do not care about finding missing people.
It’s more about how much money is given to a municipality by the state. Having a complete diving team and equipment on hand at all times in the off chance that they have a missing person in a body of water is not financially responsible to the taxpayer. It’s like the city of Orlando Florida having qualified personnel, salt trucks and snow plows on hand in the off chance that it will snow in Orlando. These private companies are funded by donations, this is their gig and I’m happy to support them as unofficial side kick to law enforcement.
@@whyamiheredlbThank you for explaining so that everyone understands about equipment and resources that wouldn’t be needed like salt trucks etc in Florida. Most municipalities/police departments cannot have trained divers and diving equipment. It’s not that they do not want to look for cars that may possibly be in a lake it’s that they It’s just not cost effective for towns to have things they would seldom use. There are several highly trained dive teams who use sonar and have had much success with finding vehicles which have gone missing in waterways. It’s not that police departments don’t want to look in lakes etc for missing cars it’s that they don’t have the resources to do so. Hope this makes sense to people😊
These are not amateur divers. You are a police hater you support criminals. Except if they committed a crime against you you would be calling the police
@@glassglov 8,000 lakes and 50,000 mi of rivers would make it that much more labor and equipment intensive. Plus gators and snakes. 486 drownings but they weren't missing or knew they were in a particular area if they knew they drowned.
I'm sure they would if they could. Would you rather be out on a boat on the lake running a sonar or being shot at, attacked and heckled all day then have to do paperwork and appear in court?
The car came from Lansing Michigan.
These dudes are better than the police period
Much better to outsource this as police are not expected to do these type of searches. Not their jobs, hero.
Police don't have the manpower IE divers etc and equipment these people do.
Another day, another body.
Good find. Outstanding!
How many missing folks are going to be found this way, its just crazy sad😢
Great work! Thanks to AWP for starting these guys off
Audio; "I'm going to throw you a bone". Yeah, bones already found in the Oldsmobile.
😁🦴🚗
Run the Vin number on the car, if the plate is missing. This doesn't take a rocket scientist to track down who was in the car, unless the car was reported stolen.
The car was last registered in 2005 to a young lady who is currently in jail somewhere in florida.
@@Cheritamichelle 2005 ? 1984 Oldsmobile ? driving 30 year old car?
Look up Adventures with a Purpose. This car is registered to an Amy Adkins. It's a 1983 Oldsmobile. The license plate had 1994 tags on it but was being paid up through 2005. It also had a "T" on the license plate which is a government plate. I hope someone digs deeper. Amy Adkins was also not one ofvthe people in the car
🤔
any new info on who the passengers were ?
You were shocked that there was a body in a submerged vehicle that has been there for decades? I’m shocked that local police didn’t look into this pond! It is not a river, Lake, sea, or ocean
Why would they? I want police to their jobs and let these experts do their's. With the severe police shortage in the US we cannot expect police to drop everything, get scuba training and then spend all their time scouring ponds.

Most likely the owner of the car is in there. I wouldn't dispose of a body in my own car unless it was stolen.

RIP MISSING PEOPLE 😮
I bet you that OLDSMOBILE is better than the plastic craps they sale today.
Yeah they were really known for their reliability back then.....NOT!!!
@@paul9912 Actually, that one likely had a 307 Oldsmobile V8 which was a very reliable engine. They had the power of a Briggs and Stratton powered lawn mower, but they were very reliable engines.
I know that's right! I just saw a video about a woman with a 2020 model car that the front hood & bumper looked like it started to melt. Dealership told her it was "probably" because she parked by the windows 🪟 and the sun reflected off them and... it got hot? 🤷🏼♀️ It wasn't covered by the warranty and insurance wouldn't cover it because they said it was one of those situations like lightning, "act of god". 😓😓 THE HOOD WAS MELTED! It looked all shriveled up, it looked like plastic wrap. 🤮🤮🤮 What are they even made of? It's just a chassis with a giant battery. They're basically just giant toy cars.
@beckinfidelis3916 they're made to crumple to reduce the sudden stop impact inside the car. It's much safer. If you want the dangerous car that doesn't crumple. go ahead
This Olds had crumple zones as well. Olds was responsible for the development of airbags and a lot of other technology prevalent in cars today believe it or not
I blame his family because it couldn’t have been my son. I been saying along he was murdered. The night he became missing he did me a CD and me and my little sister went to pick it up. He was telling me he was leaving that him and his kids momma got into a physical fight and she called her brothers on him, and he was never seen after that. The kids mother played a role, he didn’t own a car at that time that’s why he was walking. I offered to give him a ride he said he was good. He was a good person you will never hear anyone say anything negative. 20 years and yuh mean to tell the didn’t try to get a private attorney. His man didn’t want to accept it, she couldn’t him legally mark him deceased so that state did it
Damn that’s ALOT of people in 12m SMH…prayer up🙏
He's looking on Google for info on missing persons? How about running the license tag and VIN number of the car?
Did you see a plate on that car?
They said car was last registered in 2005 .
@@mastertech9961 Then who was it registered to?
@@Cinderblockk No I didn't. Did you see an empty space where the plate belongs?
@CuriousMutation I guess you're forgetting about the vin# that's found on multiple areas of a car, a vin# is way better than a license plate.
