Hi Rachel 🌺. Your have abeautiful and amazing plants in the green house . Have alovely day.🌻 🎄🌻
Thank you so much! You too.
Have become so obsessed with South African bulbs because of Douentza - thanks Rach!
You are very welcome. Always happy to pass on my passions and South African bulbs are a biggie.
What a truely amazing plant collection !!
Thanks a lot
Your greenhouses are surprise boxes full of treats. You have some cute suculents too 💝😘😘
We all love the succulents. Thank you, Fernanda 😊
Hello Rachel, Thank you for the tour! I love the variety of plants that you have. It's like visiting a beautiful garden center. ❤❤❤
Aw, thanks, Wanda. I hope you can visit me for real some day. Take care.
What a true Plants Woman you are. All your plants beautifully arranged, everything so neat and tidy 👏🪴 you always introduce me to plants l have never seen. Thank you for a great video.
Thank you, Penelope. You are very kind. I love unusual plants and always do my best to seek them out. I am very happy if I can share that passion with others, like you, who appreciate it. Have a great day.
Rachel ❤ what a gorgeous glass house 🏡
It looks very organized and all your plants looks so healthy 🌿💚
Thank you 😊
I planted daffodil bulbs that didn’t come up until the third year. Two weeks ago irises popped up under my kitchen window. They didn’t come up after I planted them, but survived a record breaking summer underground.
Amazing
so jealous of your greenhouses. My dream is a orangery where I can overwinter citrus trees.
An orangery is such a beautiful and classic addition to a garden. Scented citrus flowers are the best!
Those veltheimia are amazing, I think I might have to look into getting one and seeing how it does.
(Love the weathered terracotta!)
I don't know where you are but I can highly recommend veltheimia. So little trouble and completely rewarding with flowers. Easier to find in Ireland these days too. By the way, I do love terra cotta pots but washing all my spares this winter made me realise I've gone a bit overboard 😂
I always enjoy seeing your cacti and succulents, especially your little pachy! I cannot remember, do you have a geayi?
Thank you so much. I don't have a Pachypodium geayi. These amazing Madagascar caudex trees are very hard to find in Ireland so they are my precious. I have lamerei and saundersii and you have reminded me to bring them indoors. I am not sure that a 5 degree minimum is enough for them and they are young. Thank you.
@@GardeningatDouentza better to be safe than sorry!
I loved the winter tour! Thank you. I would like to know if you plan to put that pot of tulips outside because if it gets too cold won’t the pot get ruined? Yes there is always something that wasn’t done, like that sock that didn’t make it into the washer.
Hello there. Yes, clay pots can crack in frost. I keep my tulips in the greenhouse until shortly before flowering. By that stage danger of frost is slight
Can you grow gunnera where you are. Big leaf you have.
If Rachel planted a Gunnera (near her paved seating area) then added the 2 pots of tree fern... she might attract a flock of Pterodactyls :)
I have that impatiens it’s always up and down
Yes, the big leaves gunnera does well here but we have had a few dry summers which has left it looking sad.
Haha. What a great thought 😂
What do you mean up and down? That sometimes it does better than others? Mine has done better since I repotted it. I had had it in too dry a mix.
Hi , very useful video. I have planted tulips in pots too. I am in southern UK. At the moment, I have left them outside. Should I move the pots into my unheated glass house? I, too, have other bulbs I have forgotten to plant. 😊
Potted tulips do best with some protection. If you have a nicely sheltered position outdoors then your tulips will be fine there. If you do decide to move them into the unheated greenhouse, do remember to water them occasionally and not let them dry out completely. It is easy to forget the odd packet of bulbs, isn't it!
Thanks 😊
Perhaps those mischievous little Leprechauns hid that bag of 🌷Bulbs you just discovered in the New greenhouse :)
Those divils. Could be 😅
