One thing I can't stand is when someone says "the Maxx Slash wasn't designed for jumping". That's obviously NOT true -- it's almost exactly the same design as the Maxx, which is a serious basher. It has vent cutout holes in the body to reduce parachuting. It has optional shock extension parts to increase suspension travel for big air. It's not that it "wasn''t designed" for jumping, it just sucks at it. Traxxas tried to make something that could jump (just like the Slash and all of their SCTs), they just failed at it.
@@DanBrando the purpose of my channel is to spread good information, so when people spread ignorance it’s pretty annoying since it’s directly against what I’m trying to do.
The suspension on mine, right outta the box, was way too soft. Swap the shocks out with the Sledge shocks... or at least the springs. And bump up the viscosity of oil, and it should handle a skate park with good results.... I usually stick to the pavement/parking lots... just to hear the tires screech is worth it!!!
KC RC ramp, this guy doesn’t respond. I suggest getting the HD model. It will come with the plastic stiffener. Make sure you have something electric to assemble it. Lots of damn screws
They are an awesome truck, just gotta find it's sweet spot...get the front suspension right and it's awesome on little jumps, in dirt just like you are!!!
You’re using a ramp designed to encourage back flips and you’re wondering why you can’t get the nose down on a vehicle with a body notorious for catching air. Then you are wondering why the dirt mound works better … well that’s because it’s a flatter “ramp”. Sooooo get a ramp without a curve and you’ll see some nice Dukes of Hazzard jumps and landings.
You clearly don't understand how jumping and recovery works. Instead, you are focusing on defending the truck at any cost. Which i will never understand.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogsno Jason. He’s actually correct. You’re a good dude but in this case I believe he was just stating what alot of us racers already know.

Damn Razor.. ok I do appreciate your channel and all the insight you have but seems like you are genuinely stressed about this.

Looks like a fun spot to bad it won’t last much longer!
Damn that's a nice spot. You should also try the MT8 there.
Where did you get that ramp?
Yes would like to know aswell

In its natural habitat :)
Love the Maxx slash and it's been a tank. Just picked up a xmaxx esc to put in it with the stock motor 😈🤌

@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs ok disregard physics. I keep the nose down on my Maxx Slash and land flat just fine during jumps … with a flat ramp.

🤔
I don’t know why, but I cannot bring myself to like that RC bro… I don’t know what it is exactly… I just don’t like it.
This truck is the most unstable and the price for a hunk of plastic is a straight rip off.
Traxxass still refusing to vent the SC bodies to minimize the parachute effect, they'll never learn 😂😂.
The Maxx Slash has vents at the back “window” area. If this guy weren’t using a backflip ramp he’d have lovely jumps.
@myharryface have you ever seen how much venting a SC race body has?
@@K2H117 well most don’t have any to little. But the Maxx Slash has some. It will never correct fully the parachuting of that style body but it helps.
