My best friend read the book, but she wasn't at that part where you find that out. We went to see Wicked and her reaction to finding that out was priceless. Her jaw was almost on the floor
she turned fiyero into the tinman not the scarecrow?
Boq became the Tinman, that's why the name "Boq" anagram for "bucket". And Fiyero became the Scarecrow, by the end of Wicked's act two...
In the book, Boq was just a random lumberjack who beat his wife or something, so Nessa cursed him to turn the axe on himself or something, and Elphaba interpreted it as his becoming the Tin Man.

I have to sing this Friday night…. I auditioned at my local theatre company and got Elphaba. Lucky me… the Fiyero is really hard. I have to have loads and loads of water backstage due to tiring songs. Defying Gravity being the main one, No Good Deed but going straight back into another song after a a scene with Glinda… and the finale and bows. So no water.

This may not make sense since I've never seen the actual Wicked musical, but I've noticed in some of the songs the beginning of no one mourns the wicked plays in No good deed and Defying Gravity and I think each one changes the pitch of the beginning part to show a huge foreshadowing of what Elphaba does for every situation all building up to when the word wicked is mentioned

I heard the first "scream" is actually a really high note that only certain people, like Idina, can sing. Totally cool. :D
The version I saw my first time with this musical it was Donna Vivino and the singing was super intense in comparison to this, which I loved because you could really feel the passion, but I love both versions. They are both amazing.
