I sang this in HS as Penny, definitely not my finest moment. Both the girl originally supposed play her and the understudy got food poisoning the night before bc they were friends. The director knew I was only one in stage crew who could sing and she was having trouble finding a replacement bc of short notice, so I took one for the team. I had to learn my lines, the song AND choreography overnight. Everyone was up all night. Then when the school closed, I was up till 8am practicing in my room. Now I’ve memorized plenty of songs in minutes but this definitely takes the cake. I was so nervous I threw up in full costume beforehand but I think I did pretty good.

Our school was doing a production of Hair spray last year and my friend wanted to be the lead, Tracey, so she auditioned and was told she was 'too skinny' for the role so she gained a hell load of weight only to find out that the role had already been taken by someone else 😂
I can't believe John Travolta went from accidentally shooting Marvin in the face and getting shot in the bathroom to this. it's fucking crazy how much talent this guy has.
The meaning of the songs is amazing! Doesn't matter how conservative you are. You can't stop change. Love yourself and shake it! Cuz no one can stop you. :)

Here's the funny part... The first is that we were paired because she was taller than me, and everyone else in the group they were closing from, and I was the shortest, of everyone in the group they were choosing from. The funniest thing is that she's *younger than me* ! But I'm so excited to be a part of this production!
