I think it is coolthat you focus on minor characters rather than trying to solve the whole story like most people do. Great theory. Keep up the good work and lets hope we see Don Krieg returning to the story soon.
Another banger, I knew I wasn't the only one to think Sai looked nearly identical to Krieg. Love the concept of Krieg forming his crew as a way to reclaim the title he was potentially robbed of in his younger years, it makes a lot of sense given how much he constantly refers to himself as the world's strongest man. I also wanna note that if Krieg was originally a part of the Happo Navy, it's possible he may have stolen some of their fortune when he initially departed, using the funds to acquire things like ships for his fleet and his iconic Wootz armor _(given Krieg is the only character in the series to ever hold such metal in his possession)_
It would be amazing if Oda revealed wootz steel was made in the West Blue and was a type of armor that the Happo Navy used. A small detail like that expands the lore immensely without explicitly telling you exactly who Krieg is and it's more fun that way.
I follow your theory up until the end. Consider this. Armament haki is described as an armor coating, several times. What is Don Krieg proudest of? His "indestructable armor". What do the Happo navy require in a leader? Strong armament haki. My theory is that Krieg was either kicked out after not being able to display Armament haki, or left in frustration when they chose his younger relative who was displaying it over him. His new obsession with wearing indestructable armor and using cheap battle tactics came as a pure cope response. The same way he calls himself "Don", he tries to make up for his lack of Haki by trying to use technology to achieve the same effect. Don Krieg is simply a Hakiless fraud who got kicked out of Kano for sucking ass.
This is exactly what I was thinking when following the logic in the video! I completely agree with the theory in the video and your addition. Also the other comment saying that a man obsessed with becoming a human weapon lost the Don title to a guy who went on to marry Baby 5 who literally is one, falling short in both ways
Oda has said he writes backstories for every character regardless of if they get one or not so I wouldn’t be surprised if these theories are true but we won’t ever get it actually written in the story. Maybe we get it confirmed in an SBS like with Tama though.
Exactly! That's part of what makes making these so fun! Oda puts so much thought into the story that it really feels plausible for everything to be connected!!
Yea, thats Odas great strength: He opens up, lose strings, which he CAN take on in the future of the story, what makes fans super happy and gives teh feeling, that Oda is a crazy mastermind, with craaaaaaazy forshaddowing and crazy long build-ups and so on, or not. And the story works fine anyway. Brilliant technique!
Fun fact Kuro out of the Three did show up later but it in the movie One Piece: Stampede ending who was invited to attend the Pirates Festival by Buena Festa. But he decided to not attend. However, days later, after calling Jango to ask him about the event (and learning that his former First Mate became a Marine), he was told the event was indeed true, which led him to regret losing the chance to seize the Pirate King's treasure. Also adds more to Kuro use to work for the government now cus you think he would avoid calling his first mate after trying to kill him let alone one that is a Marine to a high ranking rear admiral and would know how to without the Marines tracking his location via Snail tapping him like Crocodile and Mihawk was

We know of some other 17th century Euro-style kingdoms in One Piece that might fit Mihawk's asthetic better as his homeland, but assuming they're in close proximity to each other on the Grand Line, it would make sense for some cultural overlap. I also like the idea that I just had of Mihawk and Cavendish having a certain connection...let's say Mihawk grew up in Bourgeois Kingdom like you said, but the castle in the fallen Shikkearu Kingdom that we see him and Perona living in is his actual ancestral home, reclaimed at some point by Mihawk after he managed to banish the evil presence that long ago erased Shikkearu Kingdom and took over as the ruler of its castle. That entity was pre-Cavendish Hakuba, who escaped onto a convenient return boat trip to Bourgeois...
This is so simple and straight forward yet one of the best theory videos I've ever seen. It's such a minor theory yet makes total sense when you consider it.
While watching this video I noticed that both the Happo Navy and Don Krieg's flag ships have the figurehead of a tiger. Well technically Don Krieg' flag ship, the Dreadnaught Sabre, has the figurehead of a saber tooth tiger but the connection is still there
You cooked with this theory! I looked and found a moment in chapter 719 where Chinjao specifically mentioned his grudge against Garp was 30 years right before the flashback. But this theory is really good. Also, isn't it curious that Chinajo was the 12th leader and Sai, his grandson, was the 13th? In oher words, Chinjao's child/children didn't succeed him? It also makes sense thematically, since the way to open the treasure trove is haki, that means that kriegs mentality of favoring technology, poisons and weapons is because he is directly opposed to the training and cultivation of haki that the happo navy value in their leaders
I love how you're really deep diving into smaller mysteries and ideas here. I've heard the idea of Kuro being a failed CP9 agent but this is all new territory! I think that the idea is really interesting and I do have my fingers crossed we'll see him and Gin again since they are such a different crew dynamic to past and future pirates we've met. I think the biggest question mark I have is locations. If Kano is in the West, then it does make me wonder why/how Kreig would be in the East Blue. The only real way I could see him getting there if he gets escorted there as a punishment or form of exile for somehow disgracing the Chinjao name, he certainly wouldn't have the strength/manpower to go through the Grandline to make it to the East Blue on his own. Fingers crossed we'll see him again some day, because it'd be such a cool theory to see come true!
I love your vids. You should do one about Crocodile and Enel. It's funny how every villain in the east blue never reappear but the two first major villains after the grandline are so familiar to us but we don't actually have a backstory for them (yet)
We will get Crocodile's backstory when he starts fighting Sanji in the final saga, remember, Crocodile has a secret involving Ivankov, and Sanji also has a secret involving Ivankov, if we get the reveal that he really was a women, then his fight with Sanji will get the much more interesting because Sanji would be confused whether he should kick Crocodile or not, I personally think that Sanji will dress as a girl once again for this fight "to make it fair" in his mind or some shit like that. Luffy VS Buggy Zoro VS Mihawk Sanji VS Crocodile Those fights above fit the pattern we see in major arcs like Alabasta, Enies Lobby and Wano.
Love the theory! I made a post on the kriegposting subreddit about a month back mostly as a joke as well as a sequel to my "connections between Krieg and Whitebeard" post, but im glad to see others looking out for the Don.
It really blows my mind how good these theories are. Your channel will be really big it’s only a matter of time. Your attention to detail is extraordinary.
This theory makes so much sense that it almost has to be true! I sure like 20 minutes thinking and talking about this to myself before I even watched the video. Top marks!
Best part of this vid for me is realizing at the very least we will get more cover stories or even a small arc(prolly not since its in the west blue but hay ive seen some cool theories that the crew will be able to move around the world alot more freely post elbaf) in sai's home country getting to see what the kingdom is like when the army comes back wins the war and gets there momey back, imagine namis reaction to that much gold i wanna see it
Damn bro… I never like or subscribe, and I’m only on RUclips for one piece content and you sir have a PROMISING future. Excellent format, delivery, and voice - not even mentioning the wonderful and unique content. You got a sub and new watcher from me for sure, keep at it man 💯
This is one of the best theories I've ever heard. It's so well thought out. You even connected with the parts about Arlong and Kuro that you mentioned before! 10/10
this was really great dude. one of those theories where even if it doesn’t ever get confirmed, as long as it doesn’t get directly contradicted, we can always keep as headcannon; but hopefully it does !
An interesting detail is his head bandage. Maybe he still spends time training his headbutt. Being able to command his own fleet, then returnjng to loot his kingdoms treasure is something he'd do
Genius! How could I be so blind! It's soooo obvious! And It's particularly embarrassing for me, because as a fan from the very first hour, I ALWAYS was looking for Gins comeback. He sad to Sanji "See you on the Grand Line", and since than I'm waiting for the reunion. And when DON Chinjao appeard, I didn't even make the connection.... It just makes soooo much sense, and I realy put your theorie now in my headcanon. It's just to fitting! Only one question: Don Chinjao is the Grandfather. Who is the father?
Regardless of whether or not this theory is correct, it drew some connections that I’ve never thought of or seen before. I appreciate that you’re willing to take deep dives into the series regarding things that aren’t the WG, Nika, joyboy, etc. because there is such an incredible foundation of worldbuilding in one piece that doesn’t get talked about.
You know, as soon as I saw King's face I immediately recognized that he looked like Wyper, but I never noticed Don Sai and Dan Krieg looking very similar. Maybe the Dons will fight each other in the Final War? Great video!
Bro casually reveals theories from the very bottom of the One Piece iceberg. Love it! Please make more those videos. My thought is that every East Blue antagonist is actually a character who has to compensate something from their backstory. Buggy is known for always hunting the biggest treasures, because he couldnt come to laugh tale. Which is another symbol that East Blue is the weakest sea
Thank you for being a theory youtuber that actually gives proof and not just saying "Don krieg, has don in his name." That would of been enough proof for me but you kept going which really shows your dedication making you a great youtuber that does not go for clout but instead goes for theorys which in my opion has a high chance of being correct and also you actually look at your comments even with having over a thousand people watching, I resepct you man
This!! Thank you for the time and energy you put into this video. I think it’s a fantastic theory and revitalized my love for the series as a whole. Don’t stop making videos!!
personally, my belief for Don Krieg and Kuro is that they were gonna form the cross guild with Buggy before the Seven Warlords of the Sea were established. Cross guild is all about glory, wealth and power, and those two have what Buggy doesn't.
This is an excellent theory. Not because it’s likely to have a spot in the story, it’s because it’s so well thought-out and researched. This could theoretically be what Oda was thinking and if it is never brought up, it could easily fit into the series as canon. I watch a lot of theories and this is such a breath of fresh air. Love the perspective and the work put into to make these connections. Keep it up!
BRO DON KRIEG JUST APPEAREND IN CHAPTER 1117!!! I know it was just a cameo but if hes actually working for Blackbeard he might unironically become plot relevant.
MUA MUA MUA MUA, THIS COOKING IS FINGER LICKING GOOD, KEEP AT IT! fr though, Krieg is my favorite villains in OP, this theory blew my mind due to how much sense it actually sense! Subscribed because of that lol
Great theory and everything you mentioned totally makes sense! I wish someone from Japan sees this, and somehow ask Oda on one of those SBS segment about it, as well as the theory about Kuro.
Damn I just wanna say that you are seriously underrated like bro you deserve at least 1m+ subs like holy. Also amazing theory like you make it fun to listen to you talk about mostly not important stuff.
Between this and the Kuro theory, every East Blue Saga villain (sans Alvida and Morgan); Buggy, Kuro, Krieg, Arlong would have a backstory related to failed dreams, and running to the East Blue, the weakest sea, to essentially hide from their pasts. And I find that really interesting from a writing perspective, that Oda had something planned for each of then, but for one reason or another, only Arlong and Buggy got their pasts elaborated on, and integrated into the story. And how East Blue is both a graveyard of and birthplace of pirate dreams, connecting with Loguetown.
Pretty good theory, but there's one obvious weakness. You say Sai and Kreig look a like, therefore, maybe they're related. But, Boo and Don Chinjao are actually related, and they don't look alike AT ALL. You know who also looks like Sai? - - - Dadan. Is she a secret Kano cousin, too? She leads a horde of mountain bandits, they lead hoards of pirates, is she DON Dadan? Maybe Kreig is an exile from Kanokuni. Maybe he knows about Kanokuni's pirate fleet, and when he started his own, he took the title same as the leader of Kano fleet, becoming Don Kreig.
Don Krieg can't be a brother of Sai or Boo because when Sai and Boo were turned into toys Chinjao forget they existed and told King Riku he had no grandsons. Now, he could be a cousin of their fathers or something, and it is odd, that Sai and Boo have a dad, but that guy wasn't considered to be the 13th leader of the Navy.
Major problem with this theory is that Krieg has clearly never been out of the East Blue. He doesn’t know how to navigate the grand line, use haki, fight devil fruit users, or even know who Mihawk is. The Happo Navy know all of this. Krieg also thinks he’s the strongest in the world which I find hard to believe he’d think after seeing Chinjao and Garp’s strength. I think it’s more likely that Krieg is a more distant relative. Maybe Chinjao won a succession war against his brother many decades ago, and that brother moved to East blue and Krieg is either his kid or grandkid
Don Krieg is the only one of the big three in the east blue who I think Oda may not have plans for. Don Kreig definitely was in the live action, but Oda was OK with how they skipped over his fight. That makes me sad because the test of Gin's loyalty was also glossed over. 😢 Also when are we going to address Don Accino? 😂
@@TheCrapCafe_ It is a funny coincidence that Don Accino melts an ice shelf while fighting Luffy. Maybe he thought that his fruit power would be enough to melt his way to the treasure? Lol. Peak filler 😆
Actually we do see Krieg's forehead on the wanted poster. It's even more clear in the anime and he doesn't have anything there. It's implied he wore the bandages after his clash with Mihawk and genuinely needed them after being cut.
Not gonna lie, it's a really interesting theory. In my head I always thought Krieg to be German, if he was born in our world, because of the name and the appearance (don't know what exactly is german about his looks, but in my head it is). So I would never made a connection with a chinese based country. But now that you put it on the table, I liked the ideia of him being form there. Imagine with me, Chin Jao passed his leadership to his grandson, instead of his son. For me this can be for two reasons, one he doesn't have a son, and women weren't permitted the position of leader, or, and here is where comes Krieg, his son was a failure. As you said in the video Krieg was likely at the age of 24 or 30, enough for he to be Sai's father (I think), but eventually the kid was chosen not him. The reason could be that Krieg, even with a huge physical strength (the guy use a armor made of gold and with arsenal in his pocket), was never capable of mastering their technique, so he wasn't whorthy of being the leader. For their perspective Krieg was a big failure, with they would never be able to access that treasure and couldn't impose the same "fear" Chin Jao's name had. So they named his son to the position. Considering how we see Krieg in the story, it's possible to imagine how he would've react, and why no one would want to remember it. Don Chin Jao tried to kill Sai for pittying his enemy after all. If Krieg tried to do something drastical (like killing his own son, don't know) he would not be seen as someone important or relevant, just as trash, nothing more than a failure. Looking at it that way, it's kind of difficult to imagine he beeing able to stay alive, but he's known for his trickery, so it's possible he was able to run away. Another thing that just made sense, is his obsession with weapons, he was not able to conquer his supreme strength, so to speak, and decided that was not the path to become powerful, instead he decided to use heavy armaments to become steonger. To colaborate to my perspective I think we can look at the state of their country right now, and what the Happo Navy decided would be the right course of actions. They were losing a war apparently because of the difference in military force, so was decised to seek where the weapons were coming from and destroy it. So Krieg could've saw that and think to himself that the ones who discarded him as weak, were still losing by that kind of power. And that would be the reason he thinks he's invincible while wearing a big armour and using whatever kind of weapon he has in his belt. A altodenominated Don, who was seeking a way to become what he was denied, something that should be his birthright. And his armada was an attempt to reacreate his own Happo Navy, one that only he could command. Don't know if any of this makes sense, but it was fun to think about it. Really liked the video bro Very good content.
Wow! I think you're really on to something. I love the idea of Krieg abandoning the Hasshoken to master the black market weaponry that decimated their armies time and time again. Almost every weapon krieg uses feels like it could have come straight from "Jokers" aka Doflamingo's underground blackmarket! Great assessment!
I'm surprised this isn't a more widespread theory. My mind went to Don Krieg the first time we see Don Chinjao, then when I saw Don Sai I immediately thought "oh, that's Don Krieg's brother." I was surprised they didn't address it directly but Dressrosa is already absurdly jam-packed, so I can see why they wouldn't.
besides leadership qualities, there's actually another reason krieg could've been passed in favour of sai, chinjao already believed sai could break through the ice, he just hadn't mastered the technique until dressrosa. krieg, meanwhile, doesn't even rely on martial arts, meaning he might've never been able to become the don, since that seems to be how succession is chosen. also, both krieg and sai are seen wielding a spear and naginata respectively, a minor connection, but it doesn't hurt that both are trained in polearms.
another thing to make this theory even stronger is that luffy pummeling krieg into the ground, breaking krieg's armor is symbolic to garp breaking chinjao's drill head. Also cuz krieg was the main villain of Sanji's joining arc krieg and sanji are both heirs to royalty making their connections even stronger. its like poetry it rhymes

Luffy VS Buggy
Zoro VS Mihawk
Sanji VS Crocodile
Those fights above fit the pattern we see in major arcs like Alabasta, Enies Lobby and Wano.
DEAR GOD NOBODY TALKS ABOUT PUNNETT SQUARES ANYMORE. Respect
This is the best Krieg theory I’ve ever seen! Idk if Oda will confirm this but I’m agree with this in my head cannon
Your attention to detail is extraordinary.
fun fact in the latest chapter 1117 you can see don Krieg, gin , and pearl in the background of Hachinosu,
Yes!!! The east blue villain hype is real
This theory makes so much sense that it almost has to be true! I sure like 20 minutes thinking and talking about this to myself before I even watched the video. Top marks!
Glad to see the videos going on, I got worried the Kuro theory would be a one off thing. Subbing and sticking along for the ride🫡
Welcome to the crew!
You got a sub and new watcher from me for sure, keep at it man 💯
And the Don family uses Massive Fleets. Its possible he cant use the family technique which he makes up for in his weapons and armor.
This is one of the best theories I've ever heard. It's so well thought out. You even connected with the parts about Arlong and Kuro that you mentioned before! 10/10
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed!
You’re a diamond in the rough! Amazing theory!!!
Hell yeah man! This is what I call a One Piece Theory!
this was really great dude. one of those theories where even if it doesn’t ever get confirmed, as long as it doesn’t get directly contradicted, we can always keep as headcannon; but hopefully it does !
An interesting detail is his head bandage. Maybe he still spends time training his headbutt. Being able to command his own fleet, then returnjng to loot his kingdoms treasure is something he'd do
Now this is interesting, maybe he was trying to open the path to the treasure Chinjao kept just in the way Chingao used to do it ... with his head.
The head bandage is because he had just recovered from his fight with Mihawk...
really excited for your upcoming stuff!!! keep going :)))
Only one question:
Don Chinjao is the Grandfather. Who is the father?
This man keeps cooking up new theories and I love it
Regardless of whether or not this theory is correct, it drew some connections that I’ve never thought of or seen before.
Its been a while since i seen such a well written, entertaining, and plausible one piece theory video. You my friend have earn a subscriber.
Welcome aboard!
You are quickly becoming my favorite one piece RUclipsr, keep up the great work!
Wow, thank you so much!
Thank you for being a theory youtuber that actually gives proof and not just saying "Don krieg, has don in his name." That would of been enough proof for me but you kept going which really shows your dedication making you a great youtuber that does not go for clout but instead goes for theorys which in my opion has a high chance of being correct and also you actually look at your comments even with having over a thousand people watching, I resepct you man
Thanks so much! I hope you'll enjoy everything else I have coming up!
I am hyped for the ussop video that sounds so cool@@TheCrapCafe_
I really loved this theory.
This and the Kuro one are definitely some of my favs.
FINALLY THE LONG AWAITED VIDEO IS HERE
This!! Thank you for the time and energy you put into this video. I think it’s a fantastic theory and revitalized my love for the series as a whole. Don’t stop making videos!!
You're so welcome!
Way better video then these other RUclipsrs I subscribed and liked keep it up
Welcome to the crew!
personally, my belief for Don Krieg and Kuro is that they were gonna form the cross guild with Buggy before the Seven Warlords of the Sea were established.
Keep it up!
The chain around the neck of Ramen at 8:51 looks exactly like the chain around the neck of Don Krieg at 6:48.
They did my boy don krieg dirty in the live action
So dirty!
BRO DON KRIEG JUST APPEAREND IN CHAPTER 1117!!! I know it was just a cameo but if hes actually working for Blackbeard he might unironically become plot relevant.
He'll be clashing with the Happo Navy soon enough!!
@@TheCrapCafe_ I love the thought of that, I really hope the Straw Hat Grandfleet incident is just a huge battle with Blackbeard's fleet
What If Nami is a long-lost princess?
Actually, this is a theory I'm working on now! I won't give any spoilers, though, lol
Yoru, lend me haki, this is Don Kriegs boat we are up against
You’re finally giving the real videos I’ve been waiting for
love how much sense that makes theories makes me happy
I love your videos. I hope you keep making them.
This and the kuro video is fire bro. No1 make video about this type of theorys. Keep it up bud i subed
Thank you! Welcome to the crew!
Damn I just wanna say that you are seriously underrated like bro you deserve at least 1m+ subs like holy. Also amazing theory like you make it fun to listen to you talk about mostly not important stuff.
Thank you so much! I hope you'll enjoy everything else to come!
I've watched both of your video so far and they are both great! You sir, have earned yourself a subscriber and a regular at The Crap Cafe!
Welcome aboard!
Finally a theory video that isn't just clutching at straws... Or strawhats
Great theory, it definitely makes sense and is something I never thought of before. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the support!
That's such I great point I never even considered that!!
This theory is as old as my nan. I remember talking about it during orojackson's heyday >_
I love how the name of this video is like the title of an episode 😂 nice theory man
Love this channel
Did you just start making videos? Or do you have older page where I can find more videos?
Just started at the beginning of the year!
Probably my favorite theory ever
I kinda hope don krieg comes back when we inevitably see don sai and the rest of the straw hat grand fleet again
hes back
another top tier theory coming from the legendary the crap cafe
Thank you for your work here's a sub and like 🎉
Major problem with this theory is that Krieg has clearly never been out of the East Blue.
Also when are we going to address Don Accino? 😂
Don Accino must be the Don Krieg of Chin Jao's generation 😂
@@TheCrapCafe_ It is a funny coincidence that Don Accino melts an ice shelf while fighting Luffy. Maybe he thought that his fruit power would be enough to melt his way to the treasure? Lol. Peak filler 😆
Should've noted that Don Chinjao has '12' tattoo on his forehead and we specifically never see Krieg's forehead, implying he may have had tattoo there
Actually we do see Krieg's forehead on the wanted poster.
Really liked the video bro
Very good content.
@@TheCrapCafe_ True.
His gas bomb sure looks like Caesar's that was used in Zou
I think we’re missing the possibility that Krieg is Sais father.
what a great theory. I never knew the full history of chinjao's country and its so cool.
I just want to say you have the best username.
I knew they looked alike! 😭 great theory can’t wait for your other vids!
Dude i hope your Channel grows
Give us more east blue Renaissance
Man that intro is fire
Yoooo the into got me tapping that like button
I'm surprised this isn't a more widespread theory. My mind went to Don Krieg the first time we see Don Chinjao, then when I saw Don Sai I immediately thought "oh, that's Don Krieg's brother." I was surprised they didn't address it directly but Dressrosa is already absurdly jam-packed, so I can see why they wouldn't.
besides leadership qualities, there's actually another reason krieg could've been passed in favour of sai, chinjao already believed sai could break through the ice, he just hadn't mastered the technique until dressrosa. krieg, meanwhile, doesn't even rely on martial arts, meaning he might've never been able to become the don, since that seems to be how succession is chosen.
also, both krieg and sai are seen wielding a spear and naginata respectively, a minor connection, but it doesn't hurt that both are trained in polearms.
loved it!!
The ages would line up for Don Krieg to be Sai and Boo's father and Don Chinjao's son.
another thing to make this theory even stronger is that luffy pummeling krieg into the ground, breaking krieg's armor is symbolic to garp breaking chinjao's drill head. Also cuz krieg was the main villain of Sanji's joining arc krieg and sanji are both heirs to royalty making their connections even stronger. its like poetry it rhymes
Gin's physical appearance could give credence to this theory if he set sail with Krieg from their home island.
Holy crap that intro is GROOVY 🕺
I love this theory!!
Why did they throw away Don Krieg so fast? I was watching OP and got amazed about his weapon. An Explosive Tipped Spear?!?!? That's so cool.
