Hey not for nothing a 10:7 out of your daily driver is nothing to be ashamed of when it is not a Hellcat or Demon. The fact that you are still running on a stock bottomend and pulling those times is very impressive. I have to ask does everyone use a different pimp juice or is it all provided by the track? I know that when you start mixing different tire preps it can work against you as it causes stuff to get super greasy. It would almost be a better deal to just run water in the burnout box. I haven't been on the track in what seems like an eternity but I still remember that when there was a mix of different tire preps how it actually hurt my launches and found my best race was always if I was first down the lane unless the track mandated water only burnouts because then all you had to worry about was possibly picking up harder compound remnants. Either way congrats.

It was the track. The track was like 50 something degrees all day because it started to get cloudy and then overcast a little later in the day. With the track that cold there's not much you can do.
He’s running skinnies so that wouldn’t be a factor. It’s all about the heat in the tires and track temp. Trust me I live in Canada and we have to deal with cold track conditions often.
Great run on that 10.71! I was having trouble hooking at some tracks when they run lots of hard tire cars. I’m not sure what tire you are running but the Hoosier DBR hooks better than the ET Street R but they don’t last as long. I got a 1.41 60’ with the DBR and a 1.50 60’ at a no prep race.
Great runs Don! I'm curious, why were you hitting the rev limiter? Are you using Mack? Just curious. No knock on anyone, with the weather changes, cool dry air, I suspect it messes with the tune some. Was thinking maybe you need a late fall tune and maybe a summer tune? Just thinking.
