I have changed all my old clips and corner pieces for mag loc clips and corners, just need to remove pop rivets and any screws to remove base ,fit new corners, replace pop rivets ,cost about £20 per tray/unit,£5 per corner
Have you ever changed the other part? The plastic hole bracket that the metal bar slides into? I’ve got a spare one to fit and it’s the whole corner piece and I’m not sure where to begin.
Have you noticed that the long rubber seals between two draws or cassettes do absolutely nothing? You can see daylight through them (big gap) when they are connected together. How's that going to keep moisture out of your trays?
Not had any issues with water yet? Perhaps when my fat ass is sitting on it they seal🤣🤣😂🤣😂, I will have a look at it now you have mentioned it....thanks.
@@AverageAngler Yeah I told Preston and they told me this 🐮💩 answer..."During the development of these units we found that the connection between units worked most effectively with a minimal gap (as small as possible given manufacturing tolerances) between the two units along the side lengths. So yes the finished products do have a minimal gap between the soft strips and the floor of the unit above. This is intentional to ensure correct function between different units." Really? 🤷♂️
The draws / cassettes also make a really loud and annoying clicking noise when you sit on the seat box, due to poor design and alignment of the plastic corner tabs. Preston said this... "We are aware that some clicking noise can often be heard when compressing the seat and units down, as the units click in place. This is normal and will not result in any damage to the product over long term use." Another 🐮💩 answer.
@@richardwebb6045 I've just bought an inception to replace my old X3 and I'm not over impressed, it feels like a toy compared to the X3, I'm thinking for another £100 I could have got a rive and I've noticed there's allot of the H frame inceptions going up for sale on second hand sites. I really like Preston and I bought the inception because I was so impressed with the X3 however I think it's like most things now..... Chinese junk and they're not exactly cheap, luckily I got a great deal on mine but I'd be disappointed had I paid the £400 some are asking for them.
@@northernthrifter8817 Yeah I've got an Absolute 36, I love the the frame (proper rock solid) but the draws don't impress me much. I also used to use an X3 (still got it) and it was a great little box, I even converted the legs from 19mm square to 30mm round. I also noticed its lighter than the Inception station.
Good video mate 👍I was wondering I’ve got inception box with the deep base on but it’s screwed to the frame is there any way I could be able to take the deep base off and just have to draws on when I want to travel light sometimes
I have never taken an inception apart? If its screwed on you could remove and try screwing on the draw unit, would be a pain removing screws everytime though.
@Mark Watkinson I am not sure if I'm honest Mark, but I know that the new absolute boxes do have clips on the frame. Maybe these could be purchased as spares and fitted???
Hi bud could you tell me how to reduce my seat height on my inception box, I’m small in the leg and find it hard to ship out as I’m on my top toes not flat footed on my foot plate?
nice one mate, there's always someone that need's to know that sort of stuff well done 👍
😊👍cheers James

Cool 😎
Inception maglock trays and draws are plastic and absolute are metal hence the price difference for info mate
just checked it, you are right, you couldn't tell by looking😊👍

@@AverageAngler no problem, I got it direct from Preston. I will get round to fitting it one day. Cheers.

You need remove sections from under the seat and add them into the storage at the bottom.
