      @bosshawg7991 4 года назад +43

      ZNA Productions Lol he will never get past Thor’s reach that’s why he is drilling slipping the jab as he should. Both guys will gas inside two minutes (probably sooner) and there will be a ton of clinching if someone doesn’t get slept early. Congrats to both guys for being smart enough to get a good payday out of this.

    • @ZNA_Productions
      @ZNA_Productions 4 года назад +47

      @@bosshawg7991 Reach is only a deciding factor if you also have accuracy and a keen ability to keep distance with footwork. Thor is still sorely lacking in all those departments. I do hope he gets better, but as things are now, Thor has no defense against an aggressive in-fighter, as we saw in his last sparring vid. If he can't sleep Eddie with his first few long range punches, Eddie will move in and shred Thor on the inside. Best of luck to them both, still.

    • @bosshawg7991
      @bosshawg7991 4 года назад +9

      ZNA Productions I agree with most of your points except Thor having no defense. I think what we both failed to mention is the “speed” factor. Eddie is much quicker but he has to take one to give one. His aggression will be his undoing. That’s why I think he gets knocked out inside 30 seconds. I’ll revisit this and eat crow if I’m wrong.

    I sure wish Eddie would work on keeping his hands up. Thor’s a big, strong guy. He may or may not have Eddie’s speed or boxing skill, but why give him a clear shot at your head?
    Take a look at how 54-year-old Mike Tyson keeps his head covered while moving & punching. That’s scary.

    • @Hallowed_Ground
      @Hallowed_Ground 4 года назад +21

      Take a look at Lerdsilla. If thor could move like him with Mike's power, THAT'D be scary. I realize this is boxing not MMA but meh fighting principles can be similar. I do think Eddie should keep his hands up more tho.
      If eddie could just really learn to stay relaxed and happy and know his opponents movements he won't need any blocking to defeat someone like Thor. Learning all that's usually takes years and years tho

      how can his boxing coach call himself a coach when he doesn't make eddie keep his hands up? You're not Conor McGregor ffs, I love Eddie but he's a terrible boxer, that sparring footage was hard to watch, none of his punches seemed to have any power and he's incredibly slow. I'd like to think the fight with Thor would end in a KO but lets be honest what will happen is they'll gas in the first round or two and it'll end up dragging on to a lopsided decision (most likely Eddie gets the win due to better cardio)

He has insane power by virtue of size and strenght, but Eddie is also fucking fast for a guy at his stature. You would possibly get concusions that would never heal, or even die if he was bloodlusted after you tried to run, a few punches would destroy an untrained person. It doesn't matter what he shows. Any pro boxer gets to watch all the fights of their next opponent. While it helps a little, in this case it makes no difference, and wouldn't change the outcome. People who think size is the defining factor in a boxing match are deeply misled. Reach matters a little, but natural skill and training are 90% of the game. Thor is already dead, and he probably already knows it. Thor is completely uncoordinated, slow, and no stronger than Eddie anyway.

    This is what a proper training video looks like. Eddie is actually putting in work for this fight.
    Thor's sparring session video is about 90 seconds of sparring. 120 seconds of training and throwing balls at a wall and the floor. The remaining 7 or so minutes is Thor walking, talking and taking photos.
    Eddie is going to outwork Thor and train harder. The Beast is going to be like a force of nature and he will make that Mountain erode.

  • @ChuckCanada1
    @ChuckCanada1 4 года назад +87

    I'm routing for Eddie so don't get me wrong. What I see is decent but the man needs fights. No amount of training will add up to what you learn when you really have someone punching you in the face and the liver for $50,000. He needs a couple fights under his belt before he goes after Thor. You wan't to be a boxer Eddie, line up a fight with someone 240 that has ten wins and a few losses and see what it is really all about. That's what I want to see because I know from experience that's what it takes to be a boxer or a MMA fighter or anything. All the training in the world can only get ''everybody'' so far, experience is the real key to victory. Get your ass kicked once or twice and recover and learn what its all about, then get a couple wins once you learn from the losses and then and only then will you know you got thor's ass in a bag 100%. I wish you the best of luck Eddie!

      I get where you're coming from and to some degree you're right, you'll never mature as an athlete unless you actually get in and battle. That said, he needs to train first.
      Fighting without training poses a serious risk of ingraining bad habits and flawed techniques. Yeah you mature in the ring, but a quenched blade with a crack is still a cracked blade, just harder now. He has to learn things like KEEPING HIS FOOKING HANDS UP before he should step into a real fight.

You are doing good, and most people will that lace up the gloves will never understand this. Power comes from a good frame (broad back, muscular calves/thighs and thick waste) and technique, not effort. It doesn't come from putting everything you have in your shots.
    I'm not bragging, I have accidently knocked out people with minimum effort. I'm not special, but i did have the ability to listen/trust to my coach, and he trained Olympians, gold glove champions and professionals. It started with my first sparring session. My coach told me to go 50%, stay loose, keep my hands up, throw straight punches down the middle and to keep my opponent at the end of my punches.
    I was able to do it, and i knocked two gold gloves champions in my first month of sparring. I felt horrible, because i liked the guys and one of them quit boxing all together.
    Eddie the punch starts by twisting the foot from the side of where the punch is coming from, which will turn the hip over, which will cause your torso to turn towards the opponent, which will then cause your shoulder to touch your jawline, which then projects your fist into your target. think of it like a chain of events. The looser you are the faster this can happen and the longer you can fight. real power comes from pulling back on the punch. If you throw it out at 50% and pull back and 100% you will cause a whip like effect, and if you catch your opponent at the end of that punch, it will be and knock out. as long as it's on the chin, temple, under the ear or behind the ear.
