Your gonna have everyone out buying die-cast models. That is a sweet build.
Someone mounted an FJ Cruiser 1/24 diecast about a year ago and I was pretty impressed with how it turned out. I never saw running footage of it. Since I've posted photos of this a week or two ago in the SCX24 groups on FB, yeah, posts are popping up all over.
Also, in Jan/Feb, a 24 scale is due to be released so expect me to do that one when I can get my hands on it. It's a TRD paint scheme 4 door.
Nice build! I saw RUclips @24yepp do a couple of different bodies and I was hooked! I did an SCX24 with a Maisto die cast Ford Ranger, full paint strip and repaint.... she chunky, but she fun!
I've been waiting for months for the actual 1/24 Tacoma to be released. I think as long as it's built correctly, it should run about as close to real as it gets. These bottom heavy rigs with lexan bodies are really a major advantage. Add a diecast body and it turns it into a whole different experience.
Pretty Cool 😊
Thanks!💪
Great idea. And I love that 60ties drill.
Thank you! Even my desk looks better with this sitting on it. Snowing lightly today. Could be a good day to run this for the effect.
Well done! Thats a delicious piece of eye candy. 👍
Thanks! I'm psyched it can actually do a few things. Didn't expect that part!
what a beast, thats awesome.
Thanks! I'll be psyched to give it brushless and see what it does.
Hello,
Very nice Video, very interesting,I wish you a happy new year!🍀✨🎉

Awesome I've been keeping my eye out now for something that i like and would work
Be on the lookout for the 24th scale TRD that I mentioned. I can only imagine we'll see super limited quantities here in the US but if you move fast, you'll get one.
Nice looking diecast there. Love it.
Thanks! Did you catch where I mentioned a 24 scale is also coming out in early in the year. Keep your eyes peeled.
Thing is super cool almost cheating it’s so nice!
Thank you. I am super psyched it all worked out. I also just today placed the pre-order for the 1/24 TRD that's coming out in late Jan/early Feb. That's gonna be pretty awesome. You watch, though, I'll get these all done up and someone like Axial will finally release a Tacoma clone in 1/24.
Dude that Looks Amazing. Great job. It was like it was Meant to be !! So my wpl c24-1 is 1:16 it says so should i look for a 1:16 ? Be cool to have more Bodys to paint an play with....
Thank you! I'm over the moon with this one. I love the size and all. Diecast bodies in those sizes might be hard to come by. It seems like the really don't do much past 1/18 scale from what I've seen. Plenty of other hard bodies out there though to keep an eye out for. I've seen tons of body swaps on the C24 chassis!
Lookin good 👍👍👍👍
Thank you! Happy New Year, my man.
Nice pal love the look of that. Dont suppose you have a link for those rear body mounts do you
I was just looking and I am not sure those can be obtained without actually having a CR18. All the bumper and body mount kits don't seem to include them. You can continue to look for them by searching for "Hobby Plus CR18 Rushmore Parts" and see if you have any luck. Realistically, you should be able to use another means to keep that rear end locked. There's plenty of room to do whatever with it.
@@VermontScaleCustoms thanks pal iv been looking all day 🤣🤣. Something similar would do I guess aslong as I can slot that lip of the body onto it
@@VermontScaleCustoms what wheelbase is that shell bud
Shell C|C = 120mm - SCX24 wheelbase is at 123mm. So it's centered on the rear axle and pushed slightly up front. Actually helps a TON with approach angle.
@@VermontScaleCustoms thanks pal
Sweet man 😎🤙
Thank you! Absolutely loving this thing. It even makes my desk look awesome.
Very nice! New sub from my channel to yours. Cheers
Looks like you've got a sweet indoor scale course!Subbed back, thank you!
@@VermontScaleCustoms I do. I'm doin a rebuild as I'm moving it from the basement to the rc room upstairs! Thanks.
Can I ask how thick that lip is on the rear of the body please
Roughly 1mm.
@@VermontScaleCustoms thanks pal
