    Very seldom do I find a Mustang that has any other rims but the Performance Pack rims and think it looks really good. THIS looks REALLY good.

      Honestly if and when the 4s is available 305/35 thats the route im going. Personal preference i feel 35/40 series for the rears. Needs more sidewall.

    Great video! Love the wheel setup, quick question though, would you need a tune to be able to run that wide of a wheel in the rear

    • @mick76
      @mick76  3 года назад +1

      I appreciate the comment! This is an older setup, but I would like to get another set of 19's as a secondary set at some point. A tune is not needed but 325's are also not needed for stock long block with bolt ons and a tune. It was the only wide tire in a 4s that I could get in 19's which is why I went with them. I am now running 4s 305's in the rear on 20" wheels and there is plenty of grip!

  • @bluelightning5207
    @bluelightning5207 5 лет назад +2

    Was it worth it? Do you get significant more traction? I am considering this, but the only thing holding me back is how much shorter the 325 is and me having a stock pp Gt. Also, where did you buy the tires from?

    • @mick76
      @mick76  5 лет назад

      Your timing is impecable! Just uploaded a new video on that exact subject. Check it out. ruclips.net/video/FqxhneAIn08/видео.html

    Compared to the stock tires, how has the ride changed with the lighter wider wheels?
    Is it just as comfortable? Any tracking issues when cruising on the highway?

    • @mick76
      @mick76  5 лет назад +1

      Honestly I can't really tell the differance as far as ride quality. It is stiffer, but that is mostly due to my suspension. Most of the roads I travel are well maintained. For me it could be daily driven if I chose to. No tracking issues on the highway. Drives like stock.

    How does the rear tire size affect your speedometer and gears? I have a GTPP and want to change the wheels for something larger too, but a bit afraid that a smaller wheel diameter with 30 aspect ration would shorten the gears too much. They are already short with the torsen 3.73 differentiel. I feel like i wont even hit 60mph in 2nd gear.

    • @mick76
      @mick76  4 года назад

      Using my gps if the speedometer said 80mph i was actually going about 76-77mph. I don't believe it would effect the gearing all that much but i could be wrong. I never noticed it. You could have the car recalibrated to make it accurate. Also this is acutally an older setup. I using 20's now which are .5" larger in the back. There is a video up on that.

    Do you have any rubbing issues? I'm looking at doing the same rear size on SVE 350's they are 19x11 in the rear as well.

    • @mick76
      @mick76  5 лет назад +2

      No rubbing issues. I would wait till summer and see if Michelin comes out with a 305/35 in the 4s. Will be better fitment with 11" wheels and a little more sidewall then the 325's. Also there is rumor there will be a new cup2. Which is said to more road use friendly.

    After living with the performance pack glossy black wheels, I wouldn't go back to another glossy wheel. The upkeep on these wheels with concerns of brake dust is absolutely ridiculous. After 1500 miles I got rid of the Brembo brake pads and went with supposedly low dust Hawks. Just as bad. I literally would have to clean the wheels after every use. Ive tried different sprays on the wheels. No help. Next up I'll go with an Anthrasite colored wheel. At least I might get 2 uses before cleaning...LOL!!

    • @mick76
      @mick76  5 лет назад

      I hear ya, but its like owning a black car. It is more up keep but when its clean it looks awesome. In my opinion same goes for black wheels especially on the magnetic paint. The forge stars were much easier and faster to clean than the performance pack wheels. Same can be said for my new wheels which are also gloss black.

      I have an all black 370Z sport coupe with glossy black wheels. Shortly after I got the car(new) I got the exterior, wheels and brake calipers ceramic coated. Dirt and brake dust don't stick to the surface and what little dust does settle easily washes off. My car can easily go at least a week without showing dirt. I do hand wash it once a week with products that enhance the slipperiness of the coating and it's hydrophobic properties.

    Have you had a problem with paint being chipped with 325?

    • @mick76
      @mick76  5 лет назад

      If you are refering to the paint on the quarter panels you will at some point get some minor stone chips, but it's not so much do to the tire size but the offet of the wheels. 305's on the rear would do the same thing. I had the same problem with my performance pack wheels with spacers. I will say this though the 4s tires don't pickup as many stones as the stock pirelli's did.

      If your asking will the 325 tires fit a
      10.5" wide rim then I would say No. Michelin recommends a 11" min. to a 12" max. rim width.

      No problem with drivavility. Car is much more planted. Honestly 325's in the rear is a bit excessive. I would much rather have a 305/35. Hoping Michelin will add that to there lineup.

    WRONG PROFILE. ON THE FRONT, PROPER SIZE SHOULD BE 285/40 R19.

      Ahh nooo. 285/40r19 would be almost 1.5" larger in dia. then the the 325/30r19. If anything I would want more side wall in the rear not in the front.
