It's like all vehicles purpose built.
They are not designed to replace tractors, rather an assisting purpose and take over jobs where using a tractor would be a total waste.
If you need triples to prevent sinking or pulling the triple fold planter plus cart,that's where the tractor works best.
Using a tractor just to pull a trailer is a full waste, as you only use a small part of his functions. That's where the truck is taking over, as that's the only purpose it was built for.
Usually you have the tractor with the grain cart filling up waiting semis...but spending 600k for a tractor with grain cart or investing 400k in the upgrade of your semis plus trailer.
It all depends on your needs, geographical and meteorological conditions. When there is a high Chance of requiring a Quad track or triple tired tractor to pull the grain cart of the field, better not invest it in the semi conversion.
Here is a cattle and grain farmer nearby and they use agro trucks just to bring the manure to the field and use a dozer to spread it out and get the tool layer compaction.
