This is great, thanks for uploading. I remember when this was broadcast back in eighty ?? Great blues, great band. I love that drumming, love the solo.
Damn I should have watched the whole thing before I commented! I was right, it was Crusher! Played with him for five years in Wilson Pickett’s band. He was a force of nature! Also played with Danny a couple of shows.
@@joynthis The weird thing is, I find it really hard watching a standard lefty play guitar - something about it freaks my brain out, but I can watch Otis or Albert with no problem!
I love Otis Rush and I love the song "Crosscut Saw" but I'd have to agree, this is not the best version and far from it. Otis' best version is on his first live album, "So Many Roads" on Delmark. ruclips.net/video/du4EkmgJdKQ/видео.html
R.I.P Otis, you are and will always be the man.
Although the film credits give the year as 1983 (probably when the film was first released) the concert was in November 1981 - I was there! :)
wow...cool

Well shit. I've been holding my guitar upside-down this whole time. Why didn't anybody tell me?
That's how genius Otis was, lefty playing a righty upside down yet didn't restring like Hendrix, Cobain, and the rest did!
@@paulosmacleon997 Eric Gales and Albert King might have a few comments.

Rock n Roll 101
Another cat who plays upside down. Tight!
Upside down, but doesn't restring it from low E at the top to high E at the bottom. .. . Freaking genius!
Who’s playing? Drummer looks like the late “Crusher” Green.
Are you people all nuts? The original is still and always will be the best, Albert King.
You can't help but say, "Hot Dog!" Children, please.
Original?
What about Tommy McClennan about 30-40 years earlier?

Nah, best version of the song is by John Hammond jr.
