I saw him at this time period, the glasses at the bar shook, everyone stood frozen as they watched. He played a 335 through a mesaboogie head and a Marshell speaker, the night was hot and nobody left without admitting they had goosebumps like never before. He wasn't there to smile and he didn't. He was bad ass.
Wow. What a great clip. It was so cool to see my old friend, David Maxwell, playing with Otis again. David and I did a few shows together and he graciously appeared on two of my albums. Today we say goodbye to Otis, but David will always be in my heart. He was such a great man.
Wicked rare capture. Talk about a find gold mine fine. Anybody know where to get this whole gig?! Even though this is enough.....thank you m9ma. You are missed already Otis...but your music lives on long beyond.
It's Benny Turner (born October 27, 1939). He is the younger brother of Freddie King and was the bass guitarist for the Freddie King Band. Later, Turner joined Mighty Joe Young as the bass guitarist of his band before becoming the bandleader for Marva Wright for 20 years.
One of the best blues songs ever! Otis was a bad man! Great band.

Cool - Well layed down 👍💚🎸🎙️💚
Great singer, and playing the guitar upside down gives such a unique sound.....
This without doubt the best band ever backing Otis.

Awesome voice and unique guitar style. Thanks for loading!
Man what a great artist I wish there was more live video of him. I can not get enough of his playing
Check these out, I've been sorting them out for a few years.

Was the bassplayer also in Freddie King`s band?
Yeah he was; Leonard Gill RIP 1952-2006. He died way too young. He played with lots of major guys!
