Another exceptional southpaw guitarist. I've heard this song for many years (starting with Clapton and Mayall in the 60s) but never checked out the original. Glad I finally did. Superb!!
I am reading the Carlos Santana auto-biography, "The Universal Tone" and listening to the artists he mentions who have influenced him throughout his career. I stop reading and check out the videos to see and hear the musicians he is talking about. This is a great way to read this book, highly recommended. Thanks You Tube.
Otis Rush's guitar playing on "All Your Love (I Miss Loving)" was so ahead of it's time. Clapton didn't have to change a thing on the solo eight years after Rush's 1958 original. I ranked Otis Rush #63 on my list of the 100 best guitarists of all time: bluesdjben.blogspot.com/2017/06/the-100-best-guitarists-of-all-time_10.html
@@Margosmad shame because after the Armani suits period (late '80s) Clapton went full blues and toured in a t-shirt and sweat pants playing nothing but blues covers.
I'm saddened greatly (even though he didn't perform the last 15 years of his life due to his stroke). See my remembrance of Otis Rush at: georgesworldonthewater.blogspot.com/2018/09/otis-rush-truly-one-of-great-ones-rip.html
@@Leo-uc8zv Naturally they do,and I know why they sound exactly like Otis LOL...But defintely a strong similarity to Black Magic Woman live in Boston by Fleetwood Mac 1970. Same bass line, and much more. I just listened to it to make sure.
Drumming is excellent, just the right touch
Wow, that was really subtle! I was hanging on every note!
One of my favorite bluesmen.
Beautiful... amazing... unique... Mr. Otis Rush!!! 💕 💞 💓 💗 💖 RIP Sir...

Ends too soon.. Such a shame.
Reggie Jackson is pretty good!
Who is the hophead on the bass?
I thought hophead was a brand of vodka
Dude, that "hophead" is keeping it in the pocket like nobodies business.
Sounds like vintage Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac
No they sound like Otis
