The ultimate master of the Blues, brings tears to my eyes and soul listening to this. RIP the great Otis Rush. Thank you so much for giving us this. As the great Albert King said once to me " If you don't understand and feel the Blues you ain't got a soul"
Otis Rush is one of the absolute greatest in blues ever. His Cobra records are just magical. Unfortunately I have not heard that live. RIP Otis for giving us such good blues.
Thank You for Such a QUALITY Production! THIS is Simply SPECTACULAR, and Really Highlights OTIS RUSH along side INCREDIBLE Soloists that SHINE. Thank You for Sharing! Trust that THIS is Available on BlueRay? Please Confirm? Thank You 🎉sime
I thought that too but if you look carefully you can see he has all 6 strings. The hanging string is just there because it wasn't cut off. Probably strung just before he went on stage and didn't have time to cut it. His vibrato is awe inspiring. Lucky enough to have seen him live once. One of the best.
Legendary Blues Otis playing with a broken string that has been seen a few times and as if nothing, which shows even more if possible his virtuosity that others later took more advantage of him
Nobody there to pass him a second guitar when the string broke. Just take the song till the end with 5 strings, then start the next one without any guitar. I guess he really loved that guitar, wouldnt play anything else. I wonder where it is now.
Except for Otis, these guys overplay and have nodynamics, the keys player is good but he doesn't know when to shut up, the drummer is a banger, Otis' vocals are sweet and his guitar is in there all the way.
A Giant Among Giants/The king of The Slow Burn/Attack/Might Vocalist/Underrated. Long Live Otis Rush!!!
Not underrated
That young man’s keyboard skills insane

I dont think people realize when it comes to the single note blues solo how much of a pioneer he was
dude most people don't get how hard it is to bend and play as few notes he did without screwing up
So TRUE!
Well Said and SURELY SECONDED HERE
He finally plays a true LEFTY and he still strings it upside down AMAZING!

Un gran bluesman único con ese sentimiento que sale del alma para poder cantar un blues
Thanks for the inspiration Otis!!
John Mayall always wanted to sound like Otis, but failed. There is only one OTIS RUSH!
Unique style, just like Albert, Freddie and BBC, they had their own musical voice and soul, these are just a few I mentioned...

Instead of a proper stringed guitar Otis waits until his axe is restringed - wow.
Who is the piano player ?
Marty Sammon . He is keyboard player for Buddy Guy there is 13 years ago
Except for Otis, these guys overplay and have nodynamics, the keys player is good but he doesn't know when to shut up, the drummer is a banger, Otis' vocals are sweet and his guitar is in there all the way.
