That's gorgeus. Though I wish you'd start showing your gemstones in sunlight again, that's always my favourite part of these videos.
Good point...Lot's of cloudy days this year. Not always possible. I like outdoor shots also. Regards Cliff
@@VintageTimeGems one day, when you have popper sunlight, you should put the rotator out in the open and film all the shiny gems in perfect sunlight. for the archive of course
Unusually beautiful. Both the cut & color are wonderful.
Thank you featherdude.
Delectably JUCIY & SHINNY With BRILLIANCE❤️All the Efforts & An ACUTE EYE FOR DETAILS Makes This A Priceless BEAUTY❤️
Background music of the video became superb with this beautiful gem.
And another beauty! It does look quite difficult, but seems well worth the effort. Thanks for sharing, Cliff!
Thanks Kathy. Yes, it was worth the effort. Regards Cliff
Just stunning! Great job!!
Thanks Seth.
WOW! That is an amazingly gorgeous stone.
Thanks...
You are an exceptional facet.
Fantastic work Cliff.
great work Cliff. I wish one day I 'll facet a 10th as good as you do!
Absolutely stunning
Thank you Miranda.
Spectacular! Wow!
Thanks Kevin...All the best. Regards Cliff
Fascinating facets cliff, very impressive how you adapted to overcome 👌👍
Millie vanilie reference,, yep that made me spit my coffee out in laughter,
Would the Egyptian cutters have been able to cut with that much accuracy,, not that the design was around back then,, I'm fascinated by Egyptology, since I saw tutankhamen gold death mask and exhibition back in the 70,s
Excellent work and video, thanks cliff
Thanks Scott, I love Egyptology also. Actually it was my wife who got me interested in it. Havn't been to Egypt , she has several times. I doubt faceting would have been of high standard, but gems were considered to have value.
Well done and well said Cliff
Thanks Paul. Cheers Cliff
Absolutely gorgeous! Great work.
Thanks Kerry...
Fantastic work Cliff.
Thank you Liburni.
Fantastic cut. Would be incredible to see some Lybian Desert Glass with this cut.
It may have been a difficult cut, but the result certainly rewarded the effort!👌
Yep, it was a difficult cut. Glad it worked out.
Well done. Better than what I would have done.
Thanks.
Great effort Cliff, and once again great story telling. It must be satisfying to see an issue and know how to adapt to correct it. Awesome job,
Thanks Jeff.
This is a amazing master cut design and takes a master lapidariest to execute properly and once again he did and should be commended for that level of skill. It is harder then the original but the mistake almost every person does with the original is they don't cut in the style people used when designed now we tend to cut the girdle then cullet then pavilion and table, but if you use a 64index and cut the pavilion table cullet then girdle it works out really well there isn't much adjusting needed and makes it easier to align the girdle facets
Lovely work Cliff. This was one of the first diagrams I ever saw (a friend shared it when I first discovered faceting) and it's great to see it actually cut!
Thanks...For such a well known design not many people have cut this design.
Beautiful cutting exhibition by a Facet Master, Cliff. I really like the way you labeled certain facets during the process... An idea I'll borrow from you. Thank You for a great video and congratulations on a beautiful reveal.
Thanks John...This was such a difficult gem to cut. I cannot begin to explain how much work and effort it took to facet the crown. I would love to see more examples from others faceting this design. This design was another level in difficulty compared to the "Cleo's Eye".
I think the holy grail of all gems is to facet the original version of the "Pharaohs Eye" a few have attempted it, but the table is faceting in the wrong direction and they have missed vital elements about the design. If you actually solve the puzzle of the original diagram, then you truly have elevated yourself into the realm of the faceting Gods.
Loved the martian reference
I'm glad someone understood the Martian reference. Cheers Cliff
Wow! Absolutely amazing facet! Cliff, you are a legend. I never saw a "Pharaoh's Eye" facet before. That looked unbelievably difficult to cut.
Thanks James. I had to facet it myself to see what it looked like. Would have thought there would be a photo of it somewhere. Cheers Cliff
That stone is Incredible!!!!
Someday I will!!!!
Love your videos
Thank you.
Very beautiful work
Hey cliff, great intro!

Thank you Alonso.
Lindo trabalho
Meus parabéns 👍
Thank You.
Lindo demais viu essa gema. Perfect genms...
So far I have cut 10 of Fred’s designs. The girdle issue has happened with his ovals. The sequence issue with his designs is well known - I have this design but feel I am too inexperienced to do it yet,
It's worth trying this design John. You still can learn a lot if it doesn't work out. Cheers Cliff
Achei diamante triângulo laranja de impacto Brasil
Great work cliff, i know thats very difficult to cut. youve inspired me to try one. Are you still in lockdown?
Hi Brent, Yes I'm out of lockdown for nearly a month now. This design is a challenge. I look forward to seeing how you go at it. Cheers Cliff
im fom iran Hi thank you
Hope you enjoyed the video. Cheers
Gorgeous. Any hints for a beginner who is looking to move past the squares and circles designs and onto stuff like rectangles and ovals? Is it constant eyeballing or is there some trick that helps you learn how to cut harder shapes?
I would just keep practicing. If you fail, then try again and again. It's like learning a instrument, you have to keep at it almost daily for a couple of years. Regards Cliff
Cliffe amazing job, I've been watching your videos for a while now. Would you have any recommendations on faceting machines for a beginner?
If you live in the USA, a facetron makes for a good machine. Cheers Cliff
Hi.i hope you well...I love your channel so much..do you have any video tutorial for cushion checkerboard cut.
Hi ❤❤💎
