The anime staff of Gintama is just a legend. They endured so many trolls from the mangaka and his crazy story. They made such awesome openings and endings.
How the staff pulled off half of the jokes so well I’ll never know. A staff you can tell put their hearts into the anime

The show is a definite must watch, but in the mean time, you should try "1 second from every episode of gintama". Don't worry, it doesn't really give anything away from the show, but it's purely hilarious.

Gintama is a treasure of Japan. The opening and ending of Gintama is wonderful. Gintama is the best work that the content is really beautiful and you can cry and laugh.
A lot of the Gintama Ending honestly feels like openings.
it's reasonable since sometimes they switch the op and ed
Fun fact: the school ending actually has its own section in the show called Tell Us Ginpachi Sensei, in which Gintoki is a teacher and most characters are students it will come back regularly and answer mail in questions

She wrote down the ed and op of the same arc, if that doesnt show how great that arc is I dont know what will. The Kabuki district arc is still one of my favourite ones even now.

The Four Devas/Kabuki District Arc is so amazing. It's basically the thesis of Gintama. The essence, the epitome, anything you want to call it. It's Gintama at its heart.

ED 30 is indeed a last ending type thing, it is basically a tv marathonning all the episode in the show, all of them, each episode they show new visual in the ed, from time of day going by to just the main trio doing there daily life in the background
it also has the openings during the spinning crystals part, but I could only make out "know know know" from the brief moment they appear
I think ed 29 was a better choice for ending. It was so beautiful especially that part they showed all deaths in anime and weapon scene
I think Gintoki's height is like 5'9 1/2", so he's pretty tall. But given the other 2 are preteens, he understandably looks even taller.
Preteens? Shinpachi is 16 pre timeskip and Kagura is 14

Agreed. Especially cause one of them, without spoiling, gives a great summarization of Yorozuya's daily life, routines, and massive familly-like ties they have to their cast.
And there's is this absolutely gorgeous ending from Yorinuki in which characters are matched to symbolic florals. ❤

If you're curious about the school theme, it's a novel written by someone and the author of Gintama provides the illustrations for it. :)
Ending 25 (Glorious Days) is my best anime ending of all time. The song itself is one thing, but when you see that ending at the end of the episode along with what's currently going on in the series, it becomes much more meaningful.

The EDs that have the characters shown in a school setting are a reference to the Gintama light novel series called "Ginpachi-sensei From Class 3Z" where the characters go to school and Gintoki as Ginpachi-sensei is their home room teacher.
Hana Ichimonme is one of my favorite Gintama EDs, but I don't actually go to watch it very often because it keeps making me ugly cry

my favorite arc
imo, all of gintama ops and eds are good in their own ways but they really hit different after the end of certain arcs, when you've come to know the characters and grow attached to them ... for example Hana Ichi Monme (ED 29) makes burst into tears every time I watch it or listen to it, cause it reminds just how much the characters have been through and how much they've grown, I really hope you get to experience Gintama to it's fullest an enjoy every part of it

If you watch all of gintama I think you'll put in top 3 of all fiction in general, one of the most meticulous crafted narrative I've seen even with the occasional dip in quality in some comedy episodes
Once you know the context of the show the second last ending is very depressing. I just caught up recently and I'm soo happy I gave this show a chance despite first 2 episodes not interesting me. Gintama is a great show and definately a must watch.

The show isn’t meant to be approached as a binge watch but rather a weekly sitcom with every anime genre in it with funny well-written characters. But there are a LOT of episodes. I’m only maybe 130ish episodes in and that’s still only ending 10
